    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He is about 2 years old. We feed him crickets with calcium and just started the repashy cgd. Today we noticed he hasn't completely shed, which has never happened, and is very lethargic. We found the coco brick in his mouth, but tried to get most of it out of there. Any suggestions?

Do you have a photo? You can put him in a container with moist paper towels for about 10 or 15 minutes to see if that helps him shed. He may be dehydrated also. But if you dont see a huge improvement I would take him to a vet that specializes in reptiles tomorrow.

Get him to a vet. Also, what are the temps in the tank? It may be dipping lower than can be tolerated. turn up your heat some, mist heavily tonight with lukewarm (not hot) water, and arrange for a reptile-certified vet as soon as possible.

Are his legs unusuallly soft? Is he able to move his legs? Is his jaw rubbery? If he has all or one of these symptoms, he may have Metabolic Bone Diasese. However, this is weird, as you said that you have been giving him dusted feeders, and the Repashy has calcium + vitamins in it. As stated before, get him to a reptile certified vet ASAP
Best of luck,

I think this is a great reason to have crested geckos (especially hatchlings & juvies) on papertowels rather than any other substrate,Just a safe bet.Soorry to hear about your gecko.Good luck.

Just did a fecal smear, found some protzoa. My guess is Entamoeba invadens. Getting some Flagyl this morning. I will keep you posted. I don't think it is calcium related. We have always kept a dab of calcium in his cage in case he feels like he needs it.

i keep my cresteds on t-rex forest bed and i have never had a problem and the burrow into it however i don't feed crickets at all i only feed CGD

So sorry to hear it, but I'm really glad you're getting to the bottom of what's going on. Best of luck to both of you!

It is good that they found what was up, now you've just got cure him! If you haven't already, get him into a quarantine setup ASAP.
Best of luck,

He died last night. Started pooping and puking blood. I think we caught it too late. I am going to perform an "autopsy" to take a look at the organs. If it is what I think it is, the liver and intestines should be ulcerated.
