To show my appreciation for the Fauna Classifieds community, I'm going to run a little giveaway...

Post here in this thread, and roughly at midnight on the 26th I'll randomly select one person who posted, and give them $250 via PayPal for their next herp/herping expenses/just being all around cool people.

Merry Christmas Fauna
You guys have given me a lot of information and entertainment (mostly in the BOI boards). This site and its members are fantastic.

:D

No, I am not in the running for this, but I wanted to thank you for your kind words....

Well 'tis the season for giving I suppose, but isn't this a bit out there? XD
Random acts of kindness are what make the season so cheery though, always gives me the warm fuzzies inside! <3

*charity pimping* If you randomizer thingie lands on me, then just donate it to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We gave them $100 this year, but it'd be so sweet if we could give them more. They granted my wish last year when I told them I wanted to learn more about snakes even though my poor nurses and the volunteers didn't really like them. How cool are they! http://www.wish.org/stories/hitech/professional/autumn_s_zookeeper_wish

Awfully nice of you to do.

Merry Christmas to you as well. And to all of the rest of the community too, of course.

So, not to be materialistic but to spark up some conversation, what did everyone get/give this year?

I will gladly tell you 250 reasons I love you! ;)

Very kind of you.

Everyone have a merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Be safe. Definitely drink, just don't drive:thumbsup:

very cool gesture:thumbsup:

I wish everyone on Fauna and their families a very merry Christmas, and hope they all make it home safe and sound this evening.

I didn't want anything for Christmas after tossing almost every material item that I had collected over the years for the recent move.... but I went home for Black Friday and did my clothes shopping!

Actually, there was one tangible gift: one of my sons gave me a leather binder for my I-Pad and that's all I needed. :D

I gave: my daughter funds to get one of my grandsons braces, filled another child's refrigerator, and got some dog clothes for my daughter-in-law and son's toy dog (tried to give needed/wanted items), and cooked dinner for the immediate family over the Thanksgiving Holiday. My daughter was going to give me this pair of Uggs lace up suede boots, but I have too many pairs of shoes and do not want any more (at this time).

My daughter-in-law gave me (intangible): She purchased those battery operated smokes, so that I could enjoy the holiday in a smoke-free environment and THAT was the BEST gift!

I guess this is the best place to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Our kids are young so this morning was pretty fun, now were just relaxing for a bit before heading to spend the day with family.

Be safe everyone, and once again Merry Christmas.

My husband and I don't exchange gifts. We spend every spare cent on the kids, and giving to those less fortunate. The best gift is family and friends who love you. And maybe a few cookies.
I wish a very special Merry Christmas to my dad, who survived a massive malignant tumor this year; to my teenage niece, who is pregnant and scared; to all the soldiers who were pulled out of Iraq last week; to my crazy neighbors, who have an 8 ft tall inflatable leg lamp (from Christmas Story) in their front yard; and to all my friends at Fauna who understand when everyone else asks "Why?".

Thank you for your generosity! I guess if I win, my snakes will get Christmas presents (even if I don't really celebrate). :santa:

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Hubby and I typically gift each other with things throughout the year, so this time of year tends to not be anything special gift-wise. (more about family) But, we did finally put a deposit on another ragdoll kitten, and I'm getting my usual "Christmas snake". He always asks what I want, and without fail the answer is another snake, so I get part of the yearly bonus to buy something a little extra nice. I'm not into shoes, clothes, or jewelry, so what else is there to get me?

Best gift received this year was a bacon sampler from the father-in-law. Does that man know me, or what?

I've been busy gifting random strangers, and donating to a few causes. I paid off two toy layaways at Kmart, and paid for a shopping cart full of groceries at the local safeway. When the mood hits, I empty my wallet. But the feeling I get in return is worth so much more than the money spent. We've been so blessed this year.

See? I'm not the heartless harpie y'all think I am. ;)
