    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have bought a handful of jungle carpets from Steve Kelly of SEK Exotics in the past and I have received some very nice animals from him. Unfortunately, this somewhat recent deal has gone south and nothing is being done as promised by Steve.

I purchased two yearling female jungle from Steve last year. They arrived healthy as usual with Steve. After sexing these snakes, one was obviously a male. I contacted Steve and he was quick to apologize and said he would send a replacement the next time he went to Fedex. Some time went by and no replacement snake, so I contacted Steve again. He said he has been really busy but I would get a replacement jungle female soon. These back and forth emails have been going on for about a year now...no replacement snake. I saw in the classifieds this week that Steve is now selling his entire collection. I emailed him one more time asking for my promised replacement and I have received no response. Doesn't sound like Steve is going to hold up his end of the deal.
 
Can you post any emails you might have between the two of you? It will help out your argument much better. However its not mandatory just helps out a lot.
 
I can verify that Steve has been very busy as of late, and has been stretched very thin (hence the collection sale). I would not be surprised if he simply did not get your last e-mail, although I can't say that for certain. I can, however speak to his character, as I have known him to be a stand up guy and a friend for several years.

I will let him know of this thread so that this can hopefully be resolved.
 
I am not trying to bash Steve at all. Just trying to get my replacement. If it gets resolved, I will definitely post about the postive outcome.

Yes, I understand that. It was only the last e-mail that was not replied to, though.

On the phone with Steve as I type this, and this is not the full account I'm getting from him. He will be here to respond.
 
Hopefully he will have a chance to get on here and reply.
But in the very first email he said "he only asks you pay shipping" but if he sent you wrongly sexed snakes why would you have to pay for shipping?

I got a call from my friend Mike Curtain about this post. Reid is correct that I have not shipped out the female as promised. Reid purchased the pair from me and then quite some time passed before I heard about the missexed animal. I don't give time limits to check sex like some other breeders do but I guess this is a lesson for me.I made the mistake so I wanted to make it right. I told him to keep the male and I would send him out a female when I went to UPS to ship again provided he paid the shipping. I do remember we wanted to send me a prepaid label but we had a problem with that for some reason. It is my fault it has been a long time. I have had some things happen that has had me looking to sell out or cut my collection down substantially. I have not shipped anything and have not done or attended a show in five months. I did not forget about my promise. I have been in a bit of a funk for lack of a better description. I have very limited time between 3 jobs and family. I apologize it has been way to long of a delay. It is warming up here in NY and I will make every effort to ship this week.
