    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought this was really funny when I opened the container to find him with her tail pushed against the wall like no don't you try to get away from me! LOL for such a little guy he sure is a persistant and awesome breeder! Now if this girl has eggs by him hopefully I can finally prove him to be both enchi and het red.

lol gotta love the over aggressive males....tho I'm not seeing the het red in him at all =( should have a lot more black backing and a lot more blushing on the black backing.
 
I'm 99% sure that he is het red lol but its all good. We'll find out hopefully soon enough. He has very very red blushings that the camera doesn't pick up very well. The enchi really takes over the het red, not sure if you've ever seen the combo or not but it does very subtle changes to enchi and you almost can't tell that it has het red influence. I will post all eggs and the resulting hatchlings as soon as they come so maybe we should do a poll of what everyone thinks will hatch lol.
 
Here's a picture of him that kind of shows the red I was talking about but yeah the camera still doesn't pick it up that great. And on the other right side he has real long blushings that are even more red. I'll take more pics when he gets done with business. Not saying your wrong and him just be a regular enchi but I'd rather hope hard enough for it to come true and if it doesn't then I'll try again lol.

Did you produce him? I really hope he does prove out for you, because of course that would be great.

I just don't see the blushing....at all. He has a little on his head and neck, but that's pretty standard for enchi. I'm not trying to bust any bubbles, but when you really get used to what a het red looks like, het reds are not as subtle as your trying to make them out to be. Unless they are very low grade of course (but that goes for any low grade subtle morph)

I could be wrong of course...not saying I know what he is...I'm just not seeing it....which makes me sad =(
 
oooo wait now...Jon's is a full red axan....yours is a het (that still makes me giggle with reds)...so I could be very mistaken, sorry about that....I would have just expected more black backing even on the het reds

like i said i really hope he does prove out for you....I love enchi combos
 
^^ thats what happens when I don't drink coffee (and when a visual morph has het in the name haha)....I confuse myself haha

btw that girl is sexy, play her some Barry White to loosen her up lol :p
 
lol yeah I know what you mean, no his is a het red too and I know het reds fairly well I've hatched quite a few but the thing with this girl is she throws pretty low expression het reds. And when it comes to het reds if you pair a red axanthic to a normal you get VERY nice aberrant examples of the morph but when you pair a het red to a normal you get very low expression animals. I'm not sure if you knew that or not. Jon could have used a red axanthic to produce his enchi crosses. but anyway like I said I'm not saying your wrong at all and to be honest I have fought back and forth on this guy and just decided you know what I'll go for wishful thinking and if he proves out then thats all the better.

hahaha too bad she left a nasty present when she was trying to set the mood now I have to let it sit there until they are done.
 
LOL count on the super enchi reds, next year I'm all over putting this guy back to mom whether he proves or not. This year she was busy with the leopard so fingers crossed on that. Here's a pic of another baby she produced in the same clutch as this enchi. this is a het red male and he didn't have the black back at all either.

I know right >< shoulda seen my debate on my enchi lesser hatchling...had to wait for her first shed but I won...she was an enchi lesser in the long run lol....sadly she was 20 grams and never started eating...*scolds mother nature*
 
AWWWEE Thats horrible, you win the odds but didn't win against mother nature!!!! DANG HER! I actually remember that thread but didn't know she didn't make it I'm sorry to hear that.
 
I'm really on the fence about both morphs. I see enchi combo's like the enchi lesser and I think yea I want that. But then I see ones where it just overpowers the other ingrediants. The same for het reds, I see combo's I like, but then I see some reg het reds and I'm not impressed.
I do hope it proves out for you, and if he's not then he is a smoking enchi to me. Good luck.
 
Thanks Mike, I do love how golden he is so even if he isn't an enchi het red it will be good because he will have good color to pass on but I should prove try and find a nice reduced/banded girl so I can make spotless enchis the way Harold likes them haha. Honestly thats the way 99% of the morphs are in my opinion. Every morph has certain combos that look absolutely amazing and others that don't do it any justice. Its just a matter of lining your projects up according to what you like or trying to find more combos that look good. Personally I like to try for the unknown and hope it turns out really awesome.
 
Dustin, did you sell a female enchi possible het red from that clutch, I bought one last year and cant remember where she came from. If so shes 1450 grams now and just started cycling my citrus calico and lesser lemon pastel yellow belly poss fader to her. Im pretty sure shes gonna prove out to be het red as well.
 
WOW how the heck did she get so big so fast, yep that's the same girl I sold you! I would love it if she turned out to be het red, when they were younger I actually thought that girl had a better chance to turn out to be het red then he did but at the time that I hatched them no one else had ever done the combo, I was the first to do the pairing so I didn't have anything to go off of lol.
