    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay, Andrew, here's the facts:

You shipped the animal inappropriately, both in method and transit. You packed it with two heat packs when it went to a place that was 80 degrees or more in a smaller box with a slower shipping method. This could easily have caused the death and advanced decomposition of the animal.

You cannot sit there and say you are going to hold onto the 4K because the kid made just as idiotic an error as you did.

Like I said, I would be livid if someone attempted to blackmail me, but you keeping his money makes you no better than the person who attempted the blackmail.

The animal likely died of your errors, you need to accept that.

Like I said, report Sean Griffis for his deeds, but give Kevin his money back or replace the Hytec.
 
Two heat packs would probably cause and animal to look like that. I think that explains what happened. Now, as for how this should all go, Kevin should pick between a replacement and a refund. I also would look into criminal extortion charges on Sean if I were you, Andrew. That type of behavior should not be tolerated in this industry. I would also consider putting some of those emails that they sent you on their info ads.

Kevin, I apologize for my suspicions. Like I said throughout, I could see where there could have been many possibilities with this situation, and there were enough red flags to warrant consideration of some unpleasant possibilities.

I would seriously reconsider having anything to do with individuals that exhibit tendencies towards this kind of behavior. I hope everything works out for you and am very sorry that such a beautiful animal had to perish in this situation.

Regaardless of the stupid situation between seanand kevin, the snake was obviously dead and thier is the snake biting the bag during or before death in transit. The proof is thier that the snake was DOA it is a shame but as a breeder the right thing is the right thing!! He needs to be refunded and then as stated before the blackmale email should be repoted to athoritys

What you have said is correct except the size of the box which was
12"x12"x10" and I don't consider that to be a small box. I will say once again, Kevin was aware from the March 20th 2012 what Sean and Connor were doing. Please have him provide an e-mail where he tells Sean and Connor to bud out. Please have Kevin produce one e-mail where he criticizes Sean or Connor for their actions. Andrew

That is still irrelevant to the boa dying from your errors and you owing him a refund or a replacement. That is all he should get, but he still should get it.

Hey there Andrew, Im in and out all day today between work friend coming into town and now this. I called Connor last night and said I thought it was wrong to call you a scumbag and he was worked up a bit but not to the extent it sounds like Sean is. I also told Connor that when the new pick happens I want him to be there to help get the best pick. I agreed mistakes happen everywhere and not to get worked up until something "bad" happens. I also said that that bad thing has not happened yet and you have been very helpful with picking a new one out ect.

I had no idea you were still getting calls today. I do not support any action against you at the moment and you have been wonderful at, as you say, making me a happy customer.

I must know, is he using my name? If so I will call him right now and cut that shit out. He can be irate by himself and not drag me in with it. I dont think that all this chest bumping is good for anyones reputation and when I try to sell a few snakes I dont want people remembering me being impractical to deal with.
 
Kevin was part of the Sean Griffith's, Connor Gunnuz scam simply put. Because of the type of people they are, there's a slim chance these blackmailers are responsible for the death of the boa.

To show you how much Kevin is a part of this scam. Ask Kevin to produce an e-mail telling me he has shipped the deceased 2011 male OT Hytec Parahet. Kevin says he shipped the deceased boa back on 22 March 2012 and the first time I know about it is 9 days later March 31st, 2012. I ask Kevin numerous times to please ship the dead boa back and when he does he doesn't inform me and I don't find out until 11 days later.

No one deserves any type of anything when they become crooks and try to steal from others.

Once again Kevin was aware from the beginning of Sean Griffith's and Connor Gunnuz mindset and was an accomplice from the start. Andrew

But, according to FedEx, he DID ship it back on the 21st. Could he have been waiting for you, thinking it would all be taken care of? Course, that doesn't explain why he didn't say 'I already did' when you kept telling him to send it back....
 
...also, and a touch off-topic, both the sender and receiver's emails should be put into the system so that both get notified of delivery, exception, etc. Takes some of the potential excuses out of play.
 
Lol this whole thread goes to show you how insane people are on forums in general. Just remember this, people are going to see what they only want to see. And there are two sides to every story so nobody has the right to jump in in the beginning and start slandering one side over another, at least until the other party has a chance to defend itself.

You are making bold assumptions and while I can see where you are coming from, I do feel a lot of this is emotionally motivated on your part. Someone attempted to black mail you. Your shipping erorr killed a very expensive animal where I am sure you have had countless successful shipments.

It does not make holding their money right.

You cannot tell me, with infallable logic, that they managed to kill that boa and make it look like that within in an hour of recieving it.

You admit to shipping with two heat packs to an area with temperatures in the 80s. There are articles all over the place regarding Illinois' unusually warm weather and on that day in particular. That boa sat on a FedEx truck, with two heat packs for nearly six hours in this weather. It very easily could have killed the boa and caused that severe of decomp. The boa very well could have died in Tampa with the two heat packs.

No one knows for sure how that animal died, but the more likely scenario is shipping error, not some grand scheme concocted by the likes of Sean and Connor. It seems too half baked for that.

You cannot justify keeping his money, Andrew. You can try to rationalize it, but it will make you look bad in the end.

You made a mistake, you admitted it, now own up to it, report Sean and be done with it.
 
Btw the moment after my first post that remotely argued the situation out, this sean character sent me a pm.

Potts knowingly shipped the dead animal. Lets be real with ourselves. This is not Fed-ex's problem, it is entirely Andrews.

I don't know you could be buddy with andrew, but the proof is right there. Dead on arrival...the poor kid paid 4.6K for a dead animal, and andrew dropped off the map. The customer is always right...

You won't go very far in business without realizing that.
 
Sean, you and Connor like making little behind the scenes comments. You need to man up and say your piece on here.

Andrew, I agree with Diem. I don't know what Kevin knew about Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee's actions, but since it's been pretty well proven that the boa was DOA, those actions have become ancillary. As much as the whole situation sucks for you, Kevin should be made whole.
