    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm a sucker for normal balls with nice black backs, so i figured I would start a thread where we can all share some black back snake pics! Whether they are genetic or not, post them up with a little history about how/why you got him/her... I bet it was becasue of the Black Back! lol

I'll start it off... This is Stanley Goodspeed, he's a 2011 Ghana male, weighed in at 199.02g on 4/17/12. Won on Auction on 6/3/11 from Ben Siegle for $61 by my roomate and given to me as a birthday present becasue he knew how much I loved black backs :thumbsup: (i then got him an awesome crestie at the White Plains expo in july in return for his b-day)

Not the best picture to show his pattern but this is the only chocolate I've produced so far with blackback tendencies. I think he is het pied so I'm holding him back to go for chocolate pied and eventually super chocolate pied (his chocolate half-sister also with the pied belly markers is more banded – both are known possible het pieds).

This was my second ball python and first black back, purchased in 2001 in the 120g range. Died in 2009 when a winter storm knocked out power for 5 days in NH while I was at school. Came home from a long day on campus to no power and a dead snake. I was furious. I only have 8 photos of her, these are the ones showing her back.

Here are two girls we produced last year. They are clutch mates, Rosie is the butter, Bubbles the normal. Just took pics tonight, they are growing like weeds!

Here is an import I picked out this past year. I've seen quite a few blackbacks, but this guy took the cake. Not sure if he will fit into our breeding plans this next year, but I'd like to see what he produces.

Cari: The blushing on Bubbles is fantastic! And I like the muted tones of the Butter.

Brant: Wowzers! Now that's a black-back! I see why you picked out that one!

Pic of my Cinny

Dont really know if shes a Black Back....but she is a Cinny mixed with something and something else.....my best guess and only a guess is a Cinny Calico Black Back...wont know for sure for a few years when I breed her...nick name is "KILLER" because she likes to kill hops and mice but not eat them....I offer food every week and she eats about every 10 to 15 days and every shed has stuck nose plugs and eye caps...picked her up on trade so she only cost me about $300.00. Even though she is a pain in the you know what she is still my favorite out of 67 breeder and future breeder Ball Pythons.
Enjoy
