In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Rhonda Alsa aka red.dragon.frog Terrible person Never do buisness with this person

The AFT lost her cage mate of over 8 years. A coworker has a female AFT and when they have been housed together mine would eat. With another AFT in the tank she will eat and acts like her old self. Her cage mate was around 13 years old and died due to age. Not all animals of a species are the same.

I agree. Whether or not this is the same person, this thread really does has the "feel" of that other thread/person.
Also, yes, some form of proof, from Rhonda, would be nice.

BTW Rhonda, many people DO open their boxes at the shipping office/hub.
Also, I doubt your gecko is suffering from loneliness. AFT Geckos are, by nature, solitary animals. It is a BAD idea to introduce a new gecko into a tank/viv where one gecko has died and, now, the other is not eating.

After speaking with a couple other fauna members privately I was advised that people here are sharks trying to play detective and I should only provide my information privately due to the idiots that frequent the BOI and the fact that it is permanent.

Yeah, I'm sure.

So, "Rhonda", you have time to make the post I quoted, and sit here admiring your handiwork 25 minutes later, but not enough time to post the photographic evidence that you offered to post, of your own volition, yesterday? What happened to all those quick answers you had at the beginning? Man, I'm feeling deja vu...

Ok dennis i Jeromy Dana would like to know if this person is a scam and if so what do i do next EVERYTHING is pointing that this person is and i need help please.

there have been threats of pictures and video being poster and nothing .

now im out 2 geckos worth over 200 us dollars if i were to hold out and get a buyer.

nothing adds up MOD help me out ive been on here a year and never looked or caused trouble

She's listed as online now....maybe they are confirming her ID?

Jeromy - I thought you had decided to follow through with the Post Office on Monday morning? IF she sent an empty box, I don't think they can do anything...the only help the Post Office can provide, I think, is to show that the box was heavier than she claimed.

I don't think it's a case of mail fraud or anything...she claimed a 1 pound box and sent a 2 pound box. She can't get the insurance.

I'd wait to see what the PO says. If they confirm the box was only 1 pound, you may then look into possibilities of what to do next.

I think there has been plenty of time for photos of the leopards. That will be really easy to determine with good pics and at least part of this can be put to rest.

i just want to point out that AFT usually live 15+ and if my gecko had died at 13 i would be a little concerned considering i have heard of them living to 20.

also as of right now you are the only one that still have to provide proof which you have not. even something as simple as the claim that you got a 1.1 pair instead of a 0.2 pair could be easily verified with some simple photos and if you cant take the shot couldn't you son who received the geckos take them? this would at least provide some credit to you because other wise you just look like a scamer trying to misdirect the conversation.

i should have added i'm by no means an AFT expert so it would help if some one with more experience with them would chime in on the age front.

Ah, you flatter me. In this sea, I'm not even a blip on the fishfinder.

So, you are fine with the detective work as long as it's Jeromy under the magnifying glass. Something has changed since yesterday, now that the shoe is on the other foot? Interesting 180 you pulled on the proof that you previously offered up.

Proof has been provided Jeromy Dana has committed crimes of fraud in the past.

Guess those sharks aren't all bad when one of them gives you a convenient life raft to cling to. At the very least, we know Jeromy exists. I can't find a single online reference to a "Rhonda Alsa" in Alabama, Georgia, or anywhere else. Well, aside from this BOI thread, that is.

Thank you Dennis. I sent you a private message asking a question about this.

I look forward to you proving us wrong on at least this one point of contention.

My proof of identity has been sent to the address Dennis provided. I have been honest and open this entire thread. And no one on here should need to see anything if it is vouched for by a moderator.

I keep my life private and have no criminal activity like Jeromy Dana so NO you won't find a criminal history to prove I exist.

Jeromy, let me explain what I can and cannot do. As a site we give you all the tools we can so you can make a more informed decision yourself. More than most sites do. You have the ability research people here on the BOI and start inquiry threads. You have the ability to decide to complete a transaction between any user at your discretion. Ultimately it is your decision. We can't tell you who to do business with. As a moderator I can enforce the rules of this site not determine guilt. Although, I can give my personal opinion as any other member.

To clarify, the site doesn't determine guilt or innocence. This section is peer driven. The readers will decide what weight to give each post.

What I stated that I will do is see if the user is following the rules as to the name field. Does that mean she isn't a "scam" if she is? Not necessary.

Let's move on to that for a minute.

Rhonda provided multiple forms of identification to establish her identity. As per the terms of this site full names are required. The name field on this account isn't a exact match for the identification provided. The last name is not a complete match with the legal name. A explanation was provided and under review.

So at this time while I see many things that personally make me question who this user is she did provide identification that closely matches her profile but is inaccurate and a violation of the TOS. I will follow up with that discrepancy soon.

End Moderation...

As a member of this site so far I'm not sure what happened here. One party states they sent the item the other party states they didn't. It is hard to determine what is what in such transactions. The majority of people are going to decide based on how both parties respond here.

People are going to come to a conclusion with information provided. Shipping weights, packaging of the box, history, honesty in statements, etc...

At this point, I don't know what happened and not firm on opinion.

Let's look at a third direction as well.

For a minute let's make a leap of faith that both of you are telling truth. I have had items stolen in the mail. It happens. If you both came to that conclusion it would be nice to see if something can be done to satisfy both and is fair.

Of course it is much easier to believe someone isn't telling the truth.

we also dont see anything that proves you sent anything other then an empty box
the whole topic of this BOI thread
and every time i use usps, ups,or fedex they always put the box on the scale
yes sometimes mistakes happen and they might forget but for all the things to line up the way described by you seems very unlikely

When I got her she was half dead from a school friend of my sons. They had her for a few years and we added up all we knew on her to determine her age. She had severe calcium deficiency, pencil tail, and was dehydrated when we picked her up. The one that is still alive was only a juvenile and housed with her already and we decided not to separate them. We took the girl AFT's and got them back healthy. They have lived much longer than we expected considering the condition we got them in.

Your posting the same thing over and over. Do you not understand that the USPS will bill me an overweight difference and it may take days for it to be billed? Why don't you call USPS and question them on policy rather than posting the same thing over and over? I'm more interested in facts and not your personal opinion.
It was a click n ship that I printed the label for. It should have been picked up. It was not and I dropped it off at a USPS. The lady took the box and scan slip. I asked her if I needed to do anything else. They took the box and stacked it with other boxes. No weight, no measuring -the box was larger than 12 inches but I do not see that noted either-.

Here are photos of the underside of both AFT's sent by Jeromy Dana. The one that appears male -to myself, my son, and a friend- is only 26 grams. The one that is female I did not get an accurate weight on but she is possibly over 35 grams.

Okay, I read through this and things seem to be going in circles fast. Here are the facts as I seem them stated so far?

1.) Jeremy and Rhonda agreed to trade. Two female AFT's for a Monsoon.

2.) Both have complaints against the other, Rhonda believes she received 1.1 AFT's, not 2 .1's as promised, Jeremy claims to have received an empty box.

3.) It is a fact that when shipped, Rhonda's stated weight on the box was 1 pound.

4.) It is a fact that Rhonda received the geckos, regardless of the sex of them. Evidence that she received a male and female instead of two females as Jeremy claims has yet to be seen.

So the only things left to prove, from what I can tell, is:

1.) The correct sex of both of the AFT's through picture or video to back up Rhonda's claims. The sooner posted the better as that ends that debate.

2.) does anyone know how long it takes for UPS to bill? I would imagine it is rather quickly? I do not know.

3.) Rhonda's identity is in question, but that will all be cleared up asap one way or the other.

Everything else seems useless and irrelevant. The lifespan of AFT's can very I'm sure. Rhonda, without any further proof I don't think there is anything left to say? Perhaps contact UPS to see how long it takes to be billed for overage and post the pics as soon as possible?
