    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Bigpimpen22 led me on a wild goose chase.

Guys, Gals, this is not a "case," there will probably never be any lawyers involved, the Police would probably scoff at the notion that this is something they should be bothered with, what it is, is one person thinks they have their TOS and the "law" on their side and one person who had some personal issues come up, and although they wanted to finish the deal, could not make it on time.

Do you have to give the guy his money back? Nope, probably not. He is not going to sue you for $100, for all the obvious reasons. Should you offer him a credit on a snake, or a $100 snake for free? I sure as heck would. You and Paul just make the rest of us look good, thanks.

Dave

You threatened to take him to the BOI if he did not refund your deposit, you got this thread because of that.

:iagree::iagree:

Big Pimpin'...you're trying hard to pimp your way out of the mess YOU created.

I am not on the side of those that even want to give you half back...because your actions were absolutely avoidable. I would not reward you in any way...put on your pants and deal.:rolleyes:

If you had not threatened the seller first, you both might have been able to resolve this issue by sending him evidence that you weren't jerking his chain instead of the route you did take, threats and whinning.

Well my father once told me heartless ppl have heartless actions...so if i ever sale a snake and someone tells me that they are goin thru what i went thru I would refund them because nobody will lose on anything...but its just a listen learned that's all...I wish everyone good luck on this season and many more to cum...ps for the ppl who ask about my family, they are fine now still a cough here and there but they are fine thanks a lot.

And sorry to tell you but BOI's can not be removed. A deposit to hold, is what it is. Its to hold the animal so you can purchase in a timely manner, when you do not do that you loose the deposite. IMO you should not have even asked for it back!! Fallow through in any transaction is your responsiblity, you said you would put the additional $100 on for him to continue to hold it and you didn't. So really no matter what happened after that (if you had the money or not) you wher out of luck:(

There is nothing wrong with that if you choose to do that. I am glad your family is recovering and all is well.

:nopity:

If your potential customers read this thread, they can make their own choices about whether to deal with you. I would not.

:iagree:

His actions showed me, at least, that he may be the type that might spend the money (he has so many family issues, health, etc) and then whine if someone complains that he didn't do what he was supposed to do.

I wish you all the luck in the world, BIGPIMPEN22. And this thread with your "promise" not to be "heartless" if you are confronted with a similar situation once you start selling, is here to be recalled if your name appears on this board again. :)

I have read time & again on the BOI that moneys SHOULD NOT be spent before the animal has shipped, yet the OP clearly already spent the money....in fact, that is the only reason given to the buyer why his money won't be refunded! He (the OP) already spent it! (post #19)...not that he had to house, feed and lost work but he already spent the buyer's money.

I believe the seller has stated that he did lose money because he made arrangements to accommodate you (more than once) and you failed to do what you promised. So I don't think it's accurate to say that no one lost anything because of your actions.

While I do sway toward the OP here, to an extent, I have seen no proof of money lost. Just the hundred gained, so far.

"sell" not sale. "lesson" not listen. "come" not cum.

Sorry but punctuation I have learned is very valuable if you want people to respect you on here. Proof read what you write. It helps a lot.

taking time off work generally leads to losing money.

In many cases, yes. But not always. Some employees get payed "sick" and "personal" days. I don't know of many employers who would allow an employee to take off two days for a "reptile" transaction. Again, I am more on the side of the fence of the OP, but what's good for the goose is good for the gander, yes? Proof goes alot further than hearsay on this site. So far, the only thing proven with regard to loss of money is that the accused lost a hundred bucks, perhaps rightfully so, maybe not. There are those here that would give back all of it, those who would give back half, and those who would give back squat. Perhaps a poll in another forum would be an interesting topic. May even help with the outcome of this thread, though I doubt it. JMO

If u and your family where hosptalized why not send him a copy or take pics of the paperwork and send it to him. I'm sure if he had proof you where really there he would be alittle more compassionate to you. It would be kinda hard for to beleive you too. A credit toward a new snake he may be selling seems reasonable.
