In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This article is about a dog breeder that was raided by local animal control and HSUS, found not guilty in court, and is now suing HSUS and local LE
for five million dollars. interesting read, but one of the comments to the article was this:

"This is a true miscarriage of justice. All animals are abused, and they should be wiped off the face of the earth. The animal kingdom has no place in todays modern society, be it dogs, cattle ,hogs, poultry or zoo animals.
Dog breeders have no constitutional rights and their properties should be seized without need for this type of court fiasco and legal problems.
For sure now, people need to support PETA and the HSUS with their monthly contributions so a formidable leagal defense and victory will perevail. Smart people are Vegans!"

That's a new one. This :censored: is going to support HSUS and PETA for the purpose of DESTROYING the animal kingdom. What a tiny mind.

IF the dogs were abused Im glad hey were confiscated. BUT your posting that all breeders should have their homes and possesions seized is absolutely ridiculous. Your postiing that crap on the wrong site bro! ost of the people who frequent this site are responsible pet owners and breeders. Take your rants and soapbox back to whatever hole you live in.

I think the quote the OP posted is one of the comments left on the article page by someone else. Yet more proof that PETA and HSUS folks are scary.

PETA, what a joke. And vegan? Even more of a joke.

"I care about animals!" Then kill yourself, because more animals are killed every year harvesting crops, then are abused, killed or euthanized. Of course they are wild field animals, but animals none-the-less. Not to mention a good chunk of the Amazon was deforrested to make room for soy crops; a staple in vegitarian and vegan diets. Still think you're helping by not eating meat?

Becides, what to you think your incisor and canine teeth are for? Grass? Give me a break.

Bah. What a nutter.

Dangerous organizations they are for sure. That is an absolutely terrifying statement.

You really shouldn't attack people for the kind of life that they live. If someone chooses to not eat meat it's their right and they shouldn't be second guessed about it. I am sure you could find some vegans who post on this board.

People need to unite and attack the things that need to be attacked and not stuff that is personal preference. Groups like HSUS will continue to live on as long as we attack what they eat instead of hitting the hard issues.

That said as long as there was no abuse I hope the breeder wins the lawsuit.

I know plenty of vegans who are NOT supporters of HSUS and PETA. They love pets, own them, have reptiles even and feed rodents to them. Their dogs are fed dog chow, not vegan diets. I know a reptile rescuer who deals mostly with snakes, and she's a vegan. So don't lump all vegans into psycho PETA loving pile. Many do it for the health benefits or simply because they don't want to personally consume an animal. I don't eat red meat, but I let my daughter eat it. Its a personal choice.

With that said, that person who posted the comment on the article is a typical hypocritical uneducated PETA member.

The man was found innocent. Though I have heard he has been involved in dog fighting in the past, there apparently is no evidence to this now. By the court of law, he is entitled to compensation for the mess he was put through. But frankly, I love the man as much as I love stepping on a rusty nail barefoot. I just have no love for dog fighters.

Shoot me in the foot for not reading it straight through. I thought this was ANOTHER case of a dog breeder who was suing HSUS, he was a pit bull breeder. This is NOT the same guy. My apologized for the misinformation.

While I don't agree with Veganism (or vegitarianism for that matter), my comment was more directed to the commentor above. I know, and am friends with serveral vegans. Its entirely thier choice to be, but it doesn't effect our relationships with each other.

That being said. I like that he is helping bring the HSUS down a peg, as they certainly deserve it, but I can't in good conscience agree with, 1) puppy milling, and 2) dog fighting.

Regardless of the verdict, the HSUS will keep an eye on this guy and jump on him when he messes up. And sadly, 5 million is like a drop in the bucket. for the HSUS. Oh noes! they can't pay for thier lobbyists for a week...

So long as people keep sending money to this companies, they will keep on pushing through. It saddens and angers me how many people blindly send money and actually think it is going straight to the animals. How many celebrities who support these organizations just as blindly too. PETA is heavily against pit bulls, but Alicia Silverstone and several other pit bull owning celebrities not only give their money, but their faces and bodies to them. Its like someone who is against abortions, getting an abortion.

I had a coworker tell me she supports PETA because even though she knows they are insane, they "do a lot of good". I am glad these companies bring puppy mills, dog fighting, animal abuse, etc to light, but to then tell people they shouldn't own pets, eat meat, etc is overstepping.

Wow. Did you guys read the article, what a clusterf**k. And this will now put more of a burden on state & federal agencies when responding to questions of abuse and neglect. Which I think is valid.

I think state and federal agencies should stop relying on HSUS and PETA investigators and use their own as well. If HSUS and PETA bring something to light, the government should not run into gun-ho to bust. A PROPER and OFFICIAL investigation should be necessary.

Well stated! I couldn't agree more.

I am all for taking down puppy mills and abusers but HSUS and PETA go about it the wrong way. Some of their agenda is ok but some is just too far into left field, like taking away ALL pet ownership. There are responsible pet owners and there are the idiots that make it hard for all of us. I have 2 cats and 8 reptiles and I treat every one of them like a part of the family. It is the same crap that Bill Nelson is pushing here in Florida. He has already succeeded with a couple of the huge snakes and nile monitors, but his goal is everything.

PETA is a joke, being a vegan isn't. Being a vegan ONLY because you want to help animals, yes, that's a joke. But most the vegans I know do it for health reasons. They simply don't find the taste of meat satisfying and/or healthy. They mostly are health and exercise nuts too. So its no joke. I was a vegan for a few years and it was tough, because I did miss chicken. Hence why I'm not anymore. But I still don't eat red meat. And I've been very healthy on my red meatless diet.

The thing with PETA and HSUS among most other corporate non-profit organizations I follow the rule: Think globally, act locally. This can be applied to EVERYTHING. From animals, to hunger, to medical care, etc. Why send money to India, Africa, Indonesia, etc when there are children who don't have shoes, veterans who don't have homes, pets who don't have owners, etc right here in the USA? Same goes for all other countries. Why keep sending money outside not just your own country, but your own neighborhood???? Do you REALLY think that $25 a year membership is actually helping anyone its meant to? Where if you volunteer at your local shelter or soup kitchen or Boys and Girls Club, you KNOW you made a difference because you SEE that difference for your own eyes. Not from a mass produced print picture or a commercial.

Screw sending money to all these places. Donate your TIME instead. Donate blankets and clothes. Food and furniture. Donate money too, but IMO, you are far more likely to make a diffrence donating time and items than money.
