    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Eric,, might want to look at paypals policy concerning live animal deals before recommending them.. They do not cover live animals period !!! And really don't cover much else either... Randy

True they would not cover an animal that died, however if you read the post you can see that I used paypal for the deposit.This was a matter of fraud, not a dead animal. While you have a right to your opinion, I strongly disagree. Paypal was prepared to go after Shannon for my money. They are quite helpful!. I had started the grievance process (which was easy) and was assured my money back. Lets not get off topic here. The thread is about Shannon, not Paypal.
 
Shannon you know we are good friends that go way beyond any deals we have done. We have been friends since 1996 and have gone on many herp adventures together and shared some of the best times of our lives together. That is why it pains me to see this here. As a friend I urge you. Communicate with these people in private. Set up payment plans. You have more than enough breeders now to produce income to pay off these people in time. The message you send to people is that your wants are more important than your obligations. Next time you see some snake that you think is "rare" or "must have" try to remember that nothing is more "rare" or "must have" than a good reputation.

I've dealt with him many times. Never a problem. Wouldn't hesitate dealing again. He's had some bad posts, but so have I. You can't please everyone. If doubt still exists, back off. Plenty of snakes to go around for everyone.

Kelli however i know that you are a good person from what i have read here, you not sending him (or anyone) money that you have made an agreement with (unless they are known to take someones money and not send the items) would not be a woman of your word. I would not be a man of mine had i not completed the deal.



i could not just walk away from this, and leave him in the dark.
that would have made me a liar, and would i have been any better than you claim him to be? NO! Maybe it in some of you members eyes would not have made a difference if i backed out on him as you see him as nothing but bad, but it still would have made me no less of a liar in the whole grand scheme of things.
I have reiterated this to the point of redundancy, but had i not gone through on my word i would have been another deadbeat whom cannot keep his promises.
Like i said before had i known this things might have been different, but it was too late to back out, and even Shannon e:mailed me late last night and asked me if i wanted to do so. I told him no, as that would not have been very businessman like for me to have done so. I did tell him that he should take this money and use it to pay someone that he owes. I have done the only part i can play in this. I cannot physically make him pay anyone that money, i can only hope he does the right thing so as to clear some of this up.
If he does me right on this deal i shall post accordingly, if he does me wrong, then ditto.
Me doing business with him does NOT make me and my practices subject to that of his own.
I am an honest and fair business man, and as for me and my character, that is in good standing.
i do understand many of you that do not agree with sending him your money, nut you weren't the ones that were caught up in this error in character judgement, i am.
i will not assassinate his character or try in any way to tarnish his name unless it is somehow merrited by the deal at hand, and so far that has not been the case.
As for the unfinished business he has with some of you out there, all i can say is good luck and i hope he does the RIGHT thing in making this whole.
does this mean that i am in his corner? no, it means that i must stay a neutral part in this whole fiasco.
As it says in the Bible, love the sinner, but hate the sin, and this is the ground i as a Christian must stand on.

Matt, I wasn't even referring to you, I was referring to Shannon, and me not buying from him. I don't care one iota if you buy from him, buy all you want, I could not care less. I was only saying that, I, Kelli Hammack, would never send him a penny. BTW, I am a Humanist so that Christian stuff means nothing to me (please take no offense, I am just being honest.)

i know you weren't completely referring to me, i was just trying to relate something i suppose.
i honestly could care less if the Christian stuff means anything to anyone on here, that was for my benefit as i am a believer, not yours. now if i were on here trying to save your soul (which i could care less about trying to do, as most Christians seem to want to save everyone)then i could see what i had to say having some sort of bearing in this conversation, but I'm not. so why even bring that up, as it was not directed towards you.
my statement about the bible was not in referral to anything you had to say, it was in reference to Shannon doing the wrong thing, a metaphor of sorts.
No one cares about your stance in being a humanist (i know i didn't), as i am sure no one here gives two squirts of duck crap about me being a Christian.
i just really did not see the point in advertising your humanism in reference to my Christian statement.

I guess you can't please everyone. It really is hard to please them when you take their animals and not pay for them. :shrug01:

Big difference from not being able to please everyone and out right stealing from them.

These are not bad posts they are facts! If you have been on here for the same thing then you and Shannon should be partners.By the way you cant please anyone you steal from.
 
Shannon Brown is a good Guy!!

I have purchased snakes from Shannon Brown just recently (hypo cal kings)and couple of times in the past and I never had any problems. Everything went well with the shipping and the snakes are very healthy and I am happy with them. He was quick with replying to my questions/emails and shipped them off to me ASAP. Honestly he is a nice guy and offers great customer service. Thank You Dave Flanagan

Rodney has stated in this thread he has yet to be paid.

I'm sorry Rodney it seems that there are many that can sit here and read that you have been burned. They can actual read the posts that Shannon admits to taking your snakes and not paying. They can read that he plainly states he will pay you back shortly. When nothing is done for yet another year his still a good guy as long as they get theirs.

It is real confronting to know the mindset of others in this hobby. It's good to know that I could burn someone for a couple of grand and as long as I give great customer service afterwards I'll have no problems.
 
Exactly Dennis, and every dime that someone sends Shanon aka SplitBrain is a dime that should go to the good people he STOLE from. WHat a piece of poo he is.

i totally agree with this statement and i hope that he will use this small amount i even spent with him to do so.
Shannon please if you are reading this, make good on your word to those you are supposed to pay back and use the money i sent you for the snakes and use it to pay someone you owe at least something. Try and at least save your name, and turn things around for the better of your business, and for the betterment of this hobby.

I have owned the Dixie Reptile Show for 12 years and permanently barred vendors like shannon from my show.All he does is blemish this hobby,I will not go to the milk snake forum because it makes me sick to see him posting response to everyone and ACTING like he is such a great guy .The reason I am involved in this is, Rodney is a good friend that breeds a small number of high end colubrids and takes exellent care of his animals.To work all year feeding cleaning breeding and starting babies only to be cheated by a predator is disheartening.Terry

Trying not to get involved in this but cannot help but ask. Has anyone that is owed money ask Shannon to send them some of his animals as payment????
You do know he has a few hundred breeders at his home. If you have been on Kingsnake in the milksnake ads you have seen him post a large group for sale. I mean maybe this has been asked of him I do not know. But if this has never been tried than it should be. Shipping can always be COD in case Shannon says he is broke and cannot afford to ship. I know that the people who have been through this crap should not have to take a bunch of snakes as payment and then have to sell them to get their money back. But if it were me I would get my money any way I could. And if Shannon refuses to send animals to pay his debts then it's time for a butt whooping. Oh by the way he does have lots of animals. Because I know someone who visited him in the last few months. He is also in the process of leasing a business. A bowling alley in his town. That is why he was trying to sell a large group of snakes!!

Shannon Brown has a trio of multi het bullsnakes on kingsnake right now. I was going to purchase them, but seeing how he owes money to a bunch of people I think i'm gonna pass. If anyone out there is owed money from Shannon and is willing to take these snakes as payment I will gladly buy them from you.

well besides the fact that we do want to encourage people to use existing threads, it also alerts the prior posters that may still be owed money that this person is back to selling in the open again.
