My last word on this is the ball was dropped on more than one occasion. Lucille yes she promised and is fulfilling that promise to refund him money. What she does with her money in the mean time is NOT his business. What anyone does with their money is no one's business but the money holder's. He's wanting to argue over the amount of the refund. She is willing to refund $300 which she has already paid back more than half. He's fussing about the rest of it. He needs to realize he's getting back more than what he deserves with his lack of timeliness. 6 months is a hell of a time to verify sex of a purchased animal. He should have had them verified within 30 days to be realistic. Waiting 6 months is not her problem. It's his. Full refund should only happen if he sends back all 3. Sounds like he is out for something for nothing. If I were Cathy I'd tell him to take a flying leap. She's not doing that tho. Should say something for her integrity. And nevermind the old adage "Buyer beware."

Nope cause it's not there. I did this out of good faith and to keep my name. It's not like I have cash rolling in everyday. I get what I can and scrounge around for what I can get to him. I had his money for over a month after the sale. I get paid once a month for a job that I work two weekends a month. I sell friend's animals to help them out and make sure ANY animal that leaves this house is completely healthy and eating well. Yes.. I made a mistake and didn't probe these snakes... I did the same thing.. bought them on good faith. I get paid again the 25th... if I sell something or get some extra money before then I will send it. I have some items up for sale on Craigslist. The Money my other half has is His money and I'm not going to ask him for the money for my mistake. That was his money from his Father's Inheritance so what he does with it is his business. I am responsible for my own mistakes. I will do what I said and as soon as I can but I can't put a set deadline and starve my animals or kids over it.

I agree that a sex guarantee has limitations (this is my opinion), but the fact of the matter is, the seller agreed to refund him something. You cannot sit there and say "He should consider himself lucky he is getting anything and he better just sit on his hands and wait for it". When a seller promises a refund, it should be prompt. You cannot sit there and hang it over someone's head and force them to wait because you made the decision to do it but only when you feel like it.

Anyone who thinks otherwise should probably reevualuate any business they hope to conduct.

Rob was promised 300.00. Rob should get his 300.00. Rob should not have to wait forever to get it.

In my opinion, if the seller cannot spare 20.00 a month here and there, they should never have promised the refund and they should quit looking for animals to add to their collection.

I dont really understand the whole issue with the "waiting for 6 months to sex the snake" bit. I mean, if the initial mistake was made sexing, whos to say that the second or third attempts would result the same way. Unless it is blantanly obvious, the only true real way to tell sex, is to breed or attempt to breed it. Ive gotten in animals over the years, and never sexed them, let along right away. Most of the time I try to, but doesnt always happen. In my opinion, guarantees are nice and all warm and fuzzy, but when it comes down to it, morals and eithics are really what counts.
The reason I dont care for guarantees is that not every single case, animal and situation is the same. Meaning, if one offers a 7 day health gurantee, it doesnt mean anything, nor does it help the buyer, if the snake gets sick (symptomatic) a month later, with some issue that could have been pre-existing (just not sympomatic) while with the original seller.
Incubation periods of certain diseases and illnesses, can far surpass the (what seems to be standard) 7 day healthy guarantee.
Live arrival guarantee on terms and conditions is a huge must though for any seller from the get go. But, if I sold an animal, that was healthy and 2 weeks later started showing signs of something that it could have had while in my care and not symptomatic, a full refund would be granted. Same with sexing, if I "guaranteed" a buyer (although, I would never guaranted, I state, that I sexed it as a ___, its always a good idea to have the animals sexed by at least one other experienced keeper/professional). If some time down the road, its shown to be a different sex than I sold it, then my morals/ethics say refund.
Now, all that being said, if a snake that i sell gets sick 6 months from time of sale, or gender is found to be wrong 12 months later, then a little more digging and talking should be done.
I try to use my best honest, moral judgement for each situation that arises, or may arise.

Maybe, Im the exception to the rule haha

Also you not giving me a full refund isnt the main reason im here, Im really just upset about the poor communication, and how I feel back burnered. Tho I do believe Im owed a full refund especially if I can get them back to you. But how ever it works out form here is how it goes.
