Inquiry Mark @ Boa Master

All of the information you are requesting is in another thread mentioned in the beggining of this one. Search Marks name and you should find it.

A couple years ago I picked up an Arabesque het albino from Mark at a show. She looked great and well cared for. It wasn't till I got her home that I found mites. I don't like mites, but it is an easy enough fix. I can't say whether they came from Marks facility or from the show itself. I solved the mite problem and she is doing great. About a year later, I emailed Mark about one of his cages. His website has it listed for $180 plus $40 shipping. I asked if he could deliver to the show so I didnt have to pay shipping and he said

"Yes they are 220 at show

Or 180plus shippin
On website

I can't bring 7000 lbs of stuff for free"

So he is charging me shipping even though Im picking it up at the show? I didnt ask him to bring 7000lbs of stuff to the show, I asked him to bring one cage. Whether I buy this cage or not, he is bringing that 7000lbs of stuff. While this isnt drastic, any other person would be happy to deliver to a show for FREE.

However, it is Marks choice on what to charge for his cages. Im just saying it rubbed me the wrong way, and I have been purchasing my cages from other vendors since.

You guys can keep going if you'd like, but i got all the info i needed from the posters and Mark himself. He made himself look bad to me in a couple emails. Shyster.

I will not be buying from Mark.

Ive bought cages from him, they ship fast and are easy to setup and are really durable, i would recommend him for cages no problem, ive never bought animals from him though so i cant say anything about that.

Hes the only Cages ive bought for my boas over last decade.

His shipping is fast compared to others that get your money and wait 2-3months before they ship. No one can compete with his quality and the 0 lead time after he gets payment. I order cages they're here same week. And to top it off all his cages are precision cut via laser!

Bummer because I wanted to pick up some show display cases to save on shipping.

It can be hectic at the shows & I know a lot of the breeders are pretty busy from start to finish. I wonder if he had trouble getting extra help for the show, already had a fully packed load, or had some other situation going on during the time you wanted to pick up your purchase. The only reason I mention the previous statement is because I dont recall paying or being asked to pay extra to pick up my boa master enclosures at a show. I have not bought an animal from Mark so I cant really comment on that aspect of his business, but will say I'm very satisfied with the enclosure I received & price I paid for them.

This all happened over email a month prior to the show. This happened to a customer of mine as well. Same situation, same show (Hamburg), different day. Also, all caging and rack prices at the show are the same price on his website plus shipping. I can only speak for the Hamburg show, as that is the only show I attend that he vends.

I believe you, I just thought it was odd because we are local to each other & that's the same show I attended where he is a vendor. I went to pick up 2 enclosures about 2 years ago & just picked up another last week on 8/4/2012. Both times I had no issue's & got what I wanted. I'm not trying to stir any pots, only sharing my experience.

His cages are top notch.I have bought 2 and they are both top quality.

I have bought many cages and racks from Mark with good results.does not matter if I met him at a show or he shipped them to me.

Always a consummate professional with a superior product.I would highly recommend buying from Mark at Boa Master.

Just to set it straight, this thread is about his boa's and not cages.
I was interested in boa's from him. Not screw together caging, which i dont think i will ever buy.

Sorry Rich, I didn't mean to take your thread off subject. I seen the comments regarding the cages & thought it was an inquiry on everything about him in general. I haven't seen to many boa's of his but from the few I did see nothing really grabbed my attention.

Just to set it straight, this thread is about Mark at Boa Master. It doesn't matter whether one is interested in, or has purchased, his snakes or his cages - he's still the guy behind them.

Well honestly Harold,I wrote it and i am asking about his boa's,him and not his cages and their quality. No where did it mention his cages.I was only interested in the boa he had and his possible good or bad standing with others that bought boa's from him and the boa's quality. Not how his cages are or are not.
I will be more straight forward next time in my post so as not to have this.
Thanks for your input. You are entitled to your opinion.

Not a big deal man. He has a good following for cages its seems but maybe not the boa's from my readings on here.
The post is old and i am past buying that boa anymore.Found better Jungles imo.
