    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

WHAT I AM SAYING , is that the case will be filed soon and you and I arent qualified to play lawyer, the precedent is national because its FEDERAL. I believe they are saying we are protected from illegal search and seizure ofproperty.again not asking for anything, except your recognition of the case at hand, to call me lazy when you have not been testifying, if you were, I would know you, you would know who I am. how is it I know andrew , and erica , terry w and his people in ohio, tommy in new orleans, I appreciate your help, but calling ME lazy now puts you out of bounds. Issues such as capital punishment and the right to bear arms take up hundreds of thousands of pages. There are those right here on this site that can and do explain the issues well and can explain them to there who are interested.
It seems as if you ARE saying that you don't really have a clue and you want us all just to fork out money.

So you are saying that because YOU can't answer questions on spending, I'm out of line for asking? Are the specifics are dark secret, that you can't explain, or is it that you don't have a clue?
You do not need to explain those things to me, you need to explain them to the people who's pockets you are trying to pick. Whenever you are asked for information or specifics, you tell people to go get it themselves. You ask for financial sacrifice, but refuse to explain what it is for.
You come on here, and all attempts to get you to come up with a little info are met with your own brand of hostility. You are not a representative of the reptile community, you are merely a beggar for money.

I see that same pattern here. Requests for funds, without providing much information about expenditures or issues. I'm sorry that happened to you.
 
If anyone is asking for money, and can't answer simple questions or show some kind of proof as to where the money is going, well, that's usually not a good sign.

Fighting among yourselves isn't accomplishing anything positive.

The reptile industry needed I believe 25,000 signatures to file the petition. I don't remember the exact number of signers, but, if I remember correctly, there were only around 6,000 signatures. USARK is well aware of this, and so is everyone else. I would have to say, if they couldn't get 25,000 people to sign a petition that costs them nothing, how in the world does anyone expect the reptile world to come up with $250,000?

When USARK first came into existence, they spoiled the plans of some pretty powerful people. So that was a good thing. Hopefully their motives are still genuine.

People need to look at what has already happened. The reptile world has been attacked, and is still being attacked. Reptile owners are losing their rights almost daily. Without enough money to fight back, you can't win, and so far we have lost a lot. Don't think for one minute, both sides are not aware of this. If the pattern continues, don't be surprised if the reptile world loses a lot more. I'm not trying to sound negative here, just pointing out the facts.

Well if just half the effort expended into making false claims against properly created venomoid snakes used in educational displays to comply with safety rules, had been used to fight the recent constrictor rule and others, there is no way any would have been passed. I made the same comments on this forum in 2010 or thereabouts, and was subjected to numerous hate posts as a result and the rest is history ....

Unfortunately the enemies of herpetology are well entrenched within the fraternity and as long as this remains the case, the hobby will continue to be attacked and new more punitive rules will be passed.

The point I made in this thread, which you have deliberately chosen to ignore, is that within the herp community, there is the ability to stop any and all draconian laws that ban species and/or restrict the hobby beyond what makes sense, provided that people do not waste time and effort fighting shadows in the form of alleged dangers from venomoids which in fact do not even exist!

Considering your own practices, mentioned in the links I posted above, I'd have to think that you basically amount to a poster child for what HSUS and PETA may mistakenly think is the rule, and not just an oddball exception, in regards to how most hobbyists conduct themselves and treat their animals. If they'd ever need a prime example of why snakes, especially hots, need to be taken out of our hands, they'd need look no further than you. When you publicly employ your own brand of draconian buffoonery, in your pursuit of attention and profit, your call to arms rings a bit hollow. With friends like you, who needs enemies?

Many of us have spent a lot of time over the last 3+ years writing letters to our congressmen/senators, making calls, sending faxes and spreading the word. So far we (USARK and reptile community) have been able to neutur some of the efforts but have NOT been able to stop them.

I have never seen one instance during my involvement with this fight where anything about venomoids was mentioned, let alone 'taking away from the fight against the ban'. Not sure why you would even come up with that?

Thank you. Though we have different points of view when it comes to venomoids, I'm overwhelmed that you chose to compliment my abilities so highly. I'm not sure I could have carried it off singlehandedly, though.
That being said, should USARK be more transparent about finances, I would contribute my efforts. My disagreement with them is procedural, not substantive.

Hi,
Can I ask in what way you want to see transparency. If you look on the website (www.USARK.org), you will see financial reports for each year. In what other way do you require transparency. As a board member of USARK, this is something I would like to try to rectify if there is a specific component that is viewed unfavorably. As is, I cannot see how more transparent we can be.

Requests for contributions for legal fees have been staggering in total amount, but vague when requests come in asking exactly how much money is going to be used for what expense.
Let's see a list and a breakdown of where these contributions are going to go.
