    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sorry for the lateness, mine arrived yesterday and it's splendid! :D Your boas are simply adorable, although I think they stand out from the other card subjects on my wall somehow... :thumbsup: My whole family loved the thought and creativity you put in it, so sweet Chris! Thanks a lot for the offer. Unfortunately, my hypocrisy goes only so far. Once I officially decided that atheism was the only belief system that made any sense to me, I abandoned any pretense of playing along with religious holidays. Probably a good thing that you didn't waste one on me. With the mood I've been in, I don't think a smile would even be possible.

Never been much for religion myself. I wouldn't of considered it a waste but it's cool either way. Hope things start to get better for you Dan.
 
I have a few more left, so if anyone else wants one dont be shy. I think next week I'll officially quit sending them out. Also if anyone experiences good luck when they get one I want to hear about it :)

I'm afraid I wasn't lucky this time. A friend has told me that I was supposed to wait for Christmas Day to "reveal surprises", like opening a gift, and me rushing it ruined the luck! :rofl:

Speaking of said luck, I can't see my holiday greeting reaching you until next week. It's special and the way I ship things takes time see.

You know he's heading your way as fast as he can (I think the problem may lie in that last part...) I'm sorry to hear that life's trying to get you down, I know this can be a very stressful season. Everyone has their own reasons for celebration though whether it be religion, good food, charity, parties, togetherness, the feeling of hope that comes with the New Year's clean slate etc etc so I'm hoping you can find your smile in one.

Well if that's the case, I'll tell you what - when my turtle reaches you, you can just turn him right around and point him towards Fiji. A tip of turnip might be appreciated for the march home Helen, but he'll find his own way back.

Sorry Helen, I tried to mail out your card today through UPS & they gave me a price of $123.00. I asked about sending it at the post office & was told it would be about $116.00. Both prices seen a little too extreme & are a little more then I can afford just to send a x-mas card. I'm sorry again, & if there is anything I can do to make it up to you just let me know. I think I'm officially calling it quits on sending cards this year & wish I could of ended it on a better note but I'll post here for you. Sorry again.

I just told my sister in-law & she said that the price sounded crazy too. I decided to drive to the post office & find out for sure.

UPDATE: Okay, I'm a big goon who gave everyone at the post office a good laugh when explaining my story & finding out I only needed a $1.05 stamp, lol. I guess the women at the UPS store meant $1.23 but read it wrong or I miss heard her because she has a strong accent but either way it looks like I get to keep my word after all & finish off on a good note. Helen your card is on the way! :)

Oh don't feel bad about the postage thing. My mom sometimes gets that when trying to send me packages from Texas. "It'll cost you more because it's going out of country" UH WHAT? I'm in NEW MEXICO, not MEXICO dumb bunny. lol Got to love the postage people. LOL

Your card is unique and very cool Chris. Be proud of that one, it stands out!

Thanks Brandi, means a lot. I don't feel as bad now either, but I have to admit it was worth a laugh.
 
The laugh was definitely worth it, for sure. I'm sure you gave the post office people a good chuckle during this hectic time of year.

Good thing you got the card out when you did. Hopefully Helen gets it for Christmas! :)
