Bad Guy sick reptiles from duron and matt

Hello this thread is to inform people and advice not to buy reptiles from Duron and his partner Matt, I personally had no problem with Duron since I have previously bought a frilled dragon from him and seemed like a really cool person. A month ago I had contacted Duron about wanting to buy a female frilled dragon to breed with my male , he told me that he didn’t have any for sale at the moment but referred me to his partner Matt which I Knew due to previous business. I called Matt to let him know about my search and told me that he didn’t have anything at the moment, a week later he called me to let me know that he had to sell everything because his transmission had went out and he was letting me know first before anybody else, since I thought we were cool already that he wouldn’t pull anything dirty, like sell me anything sick but I was wrong. He offered his female so of course I said yea. The next day I was really excited waiting for the female to be dropped off, when he got here I noticed the female wasn’t that active and I asked him about it, he said she was just cold so I took his word for it.
Later that day after keeping her under a basking light I noticed she was very weak when trying to climb a branch and when she was on the ground she wobbled a lot and loses her balance, Ok so now I got worried and I called Matt about the situation with the frill , and he told me “ oh na bro that’s how she is “ in my mind I just started laughing and realized this fool just ripped me off , so I told him “ alright bro ill let you know tomorrow if she gets better but I just wanted to call my herp vet to let him know what he thinks about the frill’s situation he immediately said ” GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!” ok then. Next day I called Matt to let him know I needed a refund ,he told me that he wasted the money already and If I could wait till next week till he gets paid, again I started laughing . since I’m a nice person I told him” yea that’s kool just to call me on Friday” to let me know what time he was going to arrive and since it was also a local sale I thought there would be no problem .know here’s the most upsetting part , I have called ,texted, and emailed them this whole past week with no respond from either Matt or Duron , I lost $400 on buying this female and the truth is that I’m not bothered about the money ,it’s just the fact that they knew they were selling a sick reptile and they don’t care . I would hate this to happen to anybody else so please inform people about these guys.
The frilled dragon is still very weak and has loss of appetite, not only does she wobble and act drunk , but she also has loss of muscle mass in her legs and the base of her tail . I have talked to a vet and she will be treated.

if it was me i would take him to civil court and call the local spca and report both of them for animal abuse. It sucks that there are people so needing money so bad that they have sick animals and will sell them.I will def not buy sell or trade with either one of these guys.

as of now s4sainz nothing, i got a respond from Duron recently but he just tells me that he had nothing to do with the transaction between me and matt and that I should of contacted him before buying from Matt. what bugs me is that he knows that the only reason I know matt is because of him, and told me that matt was his business partner and that they represent the same thing when it comes to reptiles, so obviously I’m going to trust matt because Duron referred me to him as his partner .if Duron really cared about his rep as a hobbyist then he would of fixed this problem with matt and came up with a solution but nothing was done from his part also, so to me there both in it .

I have always been respectful towards you and gave you animal care advice on your frilled dragon and kept in touch with you, being i sold you that baby frill you bought from me a yr or 2 ago, im know for selling healthy animals, and you know and i know i wouldn't ever do you shady or wrong nor anyone purposely to make a quick buck, now to clarify what you said, Matthew was my breeding partner, not my business partner, he doesn't live with me, nor do i make a cent off what he sales, now let me explained you had contact me asking if i had any more frills for sale at the time which i didnt and i told you so, and said at the moment no babies and wont have any until 5-6 more months or so, and if im lying please quote me on it ? Just because Matt turned out to be not such a good guy after the fact doesn't really let him off the hook. Being that they were initially made to look like business/breeding partners then yes, in this case I think it is appropriate to hold him at least partially responsible. Sure it might not be on him to turn around and pay the OP back, but he should at least offer some sort of apology and try to help in making things right. We've seen plenty of "business/breeding" partners suddenly decide to claim they have absolutely nothing to do with each other once one of them decides to do wrong, but that doesn't make either one any less responsible when you are presenting yourselves to your customers as such. You have a point he should be partially responsible but def not fully. And your right it does seem when the sh** hits the fan then those "buisness partners" just out of the blue dont even know each other. He did say he would provide help and advice on how to care and bring the fril back to health. Also he said they were only breeding partners not business partners but i see that as the same thing.

I know both Matt and Duron, Duron is an old buddy of mine. I have personally seen his animals and his husbandry methods implemented, furthermore i must say his passion is second to none. I know his english grammar is bad, but he means good. As far as Matt goes, its a different story.

The OP can most likely contact Matt through Craigslist, Matt is constantly posting up on Craigslist deceiving people by pretending to be a Reptile Rescue Center. For some reason ignorant people who believe Matt will give him their reptiles; which he in turns resells these "ADOPTED ANIMALS" on local sites.

The frilly he sold the OP was probably someone's dying reptile. A while back Matthew had used some food coloring dye on some Bearded Dragons, to give them colorations of high contrast pigmentation, claiming them to be morphs. I have heard about many shady dealings on behalf of Matt, i would be careful when dealing with someone of this nature.

wowzers im not much of and internet person, but i am sincere

well sorry for the run on sentence but ill keep this short and brief, as for my business with Matthew we only collaborated on a few breeding projects as for bearded dragons, he wanted to breed his frills with mines but we never done so, the frill frank was asking about was on my profile and at my home at the time, frank then took sometime to get back to me, being i didn't have any babies to sale him, after a month later frank check back and saw the frill Mathew had posted on my facebook which i have a love of fellow herps who post on my profile and it goes back and forth and so on, but as said when frank couldn't make up his mine, and gave him Matthew number so they could do business between each other, im not not Matthew brother or etc, i don't take kind to foul people, i was done wrong in this case as well, also im a sincere person i attach my number in case i was misunderstood feel free to make use of it respectfully and thank you kindly for your time
