    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, I created my account here initially to find breeders for specific breeds to watch the market as I research care and all, and suddenly was made aware of this tool within this site from a different forum altogether, so I figured I'd take the oppurtunity to share an experience I had with this company a while ago. I no longer have the emails, and I don't know how familiar people are with them, but I had ordered a breeder dubia colony early this year and had an incredibly rough time with them. Half of the roaches died, only 1 was replaced although we went with their procedures, and a gentleman claiming to be the owner was incredibly rude to my girlfriend when she sent an email about the issue. In short, we were essentially out of $70 before we even started; the handful of adults we picked up at a local expo was better than what we received from them. I was planning to order my tree monitor from there as well, until I experienced that mess. Had I known of this tool sooner I would have given this a whirl then. Just figured I'd give a heads up as to who may be a bad run.
 
Wow. I heard these guys write up their own favorable reviews, but never thought you can look up IP addresses and such. I suddenly have a very high level of faith in my search for the right Blue Tree Monitor.
 
George - on the BOI, you can't say "I heard ________about them" without including the source...so, from whom did you hear that they made up their own reviews?

I was just looking through a ton of stuff on Google when I came across a thing talking about it, so I queried "backwater reptiles making their own reviews" and though I will be first to admit that I'm no genius in whether something on the internet is legit or not, that caused me some reason to wonder.
 
The 2nd link, the very first caption is what caught my attention and then I read a few more. that is what I based my "findings" on, seeing it apparently is also a sort of forum.
 
I think I should also add that in regard to the first link, I had no idea what a BOI was at the time, but since there was something referring to FaunaClassifieds and I was at least familiar with the classified section to a small degree for reasons already stated, I figured it would be something I should listen to.
 
You can't attribute things to anonymous sources - if you can't identify the person that said it by name, you can't post the information here.
 
I'll remember that then. My apologies, didn't know that was considered anonymous though it's apparently a site.
 
On second thought, now that I jsut started to be active in this forum, I think I'll pass on business.
Killing the messengers....
I've been hearing this far too often lately, and from many quarters. That people are afraid to post on the BOI because they get attacked viciously for their statements made there. That they wind up virtually fighting for their own reputation because of attacks made on their own character because of their statements made either for or against someone on the BOI.
I believe this came from who appears to be a top moderator here. I neither know you nor care to know anything about you, but with what this guy said, I can see how some people would feel that way with how you just responded to my post, even with having provided links. Good luck with whatever it is you do here.
 
I think that is a good decision if you can't even avoid getting butthurt about being called out for not following the rules.

"Butthurt"? Only thing I'm "butthurt" about is losing half my soda on myself laughing at the arrogance of the notion. Rant? How unprofessional. Let alone your little title of "tired and cranky moderator". My "rant" was actually my letting you "win the arguement" if that's how you see it. Keep it up, at this point I'm indifferent on the ban if that's where you take it. At this point you're just entertainment on an otherwise boring Saturday afternoon for me.

If the rules of this site are beneath you, then obviously you need to go to other sites more compatible with your lifestyle. There is a reason why people get cross examined here for the statements they make. It's because it's fair. Otherwise what is the alternative? To simply take what anyone says as gospel and beyond questioning? Once a statement is made about someone simply close the thread and that is it? Yeah, try it on a website you set up and tell me how well that works out for you.

Amazing how people will join a site then go out of their way to get banned. What's so hard about saying sorry about that and go on?
