• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi Karen McAllister?

I do not know if you are aware of this and it is off topic...but I clicked on the facebook link you provided and it was signed into your facebook. To make sure this wasn't a glitch or something of the sort, I closed and reopened the link on 3 different devices and all were signed into your account. Don't worry, I didn't do any snooping, I just realized when it said there were new messages and when I clicked them, I had never heard of any of the people sending the messages. I didn't read them or anything, but came straight here before finishing reading all the posts to let you know.

Now I feel extra retarded because there is no Karen McAllister in this post, it was Jennifer who posted the FB link. Sorry for the disruption! I feel like an idiot lol.

Rob, the ad didn't offer to ship. The buyer contacted the seller and asked him if he could ship it. That's no different than the many breeders/sellers that list animals on Craigslist then have outside buyers come across it and ask them if they could ship. Also, it was for a hatchling cinnabee, not a proven breeder. And as John said, Stephen is new.

Also, filing a claim with PayPal doesn't solve everything. PayPal does not cover live animal transactions so if they find out it was for a live animal, they will not grant the claim and refund his money.

So how did my name get brought into this?

Because when she clicked the link you provided, she thought it sent her to a page logged in under you (because you had linked it). She realized after she posted that she was mistaken.

Then where the heck did she get Karen McAllister from? Just read through the thread and realized there is no post from you before these last 2, that she was clicking my links. So how did she even get your name? Really weird.

Did PayPal use funds to pay for the animal via a credit card payment or a bank transfer? I would contact your bank immediately. Hopefully you paid with a credit card and you can possibly do a chargeback. It might take a while, but you may get your money back that way. I've never done a chargeback before but had a conversation with my banker about the process a few months ago.

I clicked on a link that Jennifer posted and it took me to a FB status where you posted. I guess somehow it went to your facebook page and I thought it was logged into yours. My apologies for the confusion.
