In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Snake clings to plane wing on Australian flight
Stunned passengers watched out their windows

SYDNEY-This snake on a plane had a turbulent flight.

Stunned Qantas Airways passengers watched out their windows as a large python clung to a plane's wing during a two-hour flight from Australia's northeastern city of Cairns to Papua New Guinea.

The 3-meter (10-foot) python fought to stay on the wing, pulling itself forward only to be pushed back by the frigid wind.

Passenger Robert Weber videotaped the struggle and told Australia's Fairfax Media that the wind whipping the snake against the side of the plane left a bloody smear.

The python managed to hang on until the plane landed in Port Moresby, but a Qantas spokesman said the creature was dead on arrival.

Well, I hope Animal Planet doesnt do that!! Thats all we need, more bad press.
Personally, I think airplanes should be checked before take off. What if a kid was clinging to the wing or hiding underneath some where? I feel so bad for this snake. It must have been scared to death, not to mention frozen.
I wonder how it hung on at all when it was frozen?

I did a quick search, and found a link with some video of the snake.

I wonder how long it'll be before animal planet comes out with a special on how burms are going to be hitching rides out of Florida airports?

Planes ought to be checked, but it may have been somewhere hidden where a person couldn't fit, poor thing! I guess I would say no matter how cold it was, I wouldn't let go if I could help it were I stuck in that kind of situation! 8( Poor beast...

The flight from Cairns, AUS to Port Moresby, PNG which I have taken about 15 times, lasts about 50 minutes flying time, not 2 hours.

Not terribly important but just for the sake of accuracy!
