    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

That seems like a reasonable compromise to me.

I mean in no way to be flippant, but more and more threads seem to be popping up due to something that happened on Facebook. Maybe I am just exposed to the negatives, but I just can't understand why people like/use it so much. Nothing but trouble, IMHO.
 
Just to stick in my two cents. Why does it even matter to you Lynn? His site is a personal site, and not a competing business, why not just get a similar domain except .net or such? You obviously have enough "money and lawyers" to jump through the hoops of getting your business trademarked so why not the additional hoops for a different website?

All of that aside, the OP was definitely rude in his reply, but if I started getting odd emails from someone trying to harass me into changing my email I might go tell them to pound sand as well.

Like I said, no intention to harass or bully anyone until he got rude. If you look maybe 1/3 of the way into the back and forth comments, you'll see that I told him everything on my end was resolved but he wanted to continue. I personally apologized to him, and Kita, for godssake, just because you "don't like me" for whatever reason, you are not at all part of this argument. You're accusing me of things you can't back up and it's just unneccessary, as EVERYTHING I HAVE POSTED thus far has explained that my issue was resolved, I apologized to him for whatever OTHER PEOPLE sent to him even though I asked them not to be rude, and I also posted that I regretted posting that request in the first place and took it down almost immediately.

this is ridiculous.
 
I never even knew you so I'm not posting from a negative view, but I have provided the initial conversation between you two that was public. I'm sure I could have gotten more screen caps if you hadn't blocked me for speaking against this in the beginning. There are many businesses out there with the same name and I don't see them attacking one another for ridiculous rights as long as neither is using the credentials of the other for their own gain. Your initial reaction to someone having the domain of a name you have been using went way out of control and you have deleted and blocked as much as you can to cover your tracks then tucked tail for a public appearance to redeem yourself and apologize for things when you're even saying we have no proof on.

As I stated in my comment that you deleted, such behavior from a business makes me not even consider dealing with them.

Kita, I said you have no proof on all this "previous bullying" I've done. I apologized for other people's actions but I'm not sorry for what I said. I sincerely doubt we would have ever done business to begin with, and I'm okay with that. Without any intention of "bullying" or being "mean", this isn't your battle.

Wrong. Once something gets posted to the BOI it becomes everyone's battle, because if the Herp community doesn't strive to protect itself, there are very few others that will. (Regardless of how trivial/non trivial this may be)

I suggest you take this thread a bit more seriously, as it is permanent and Kita might not be the only person who wont do business with you based upon your responses here.

If you can't even handle starting your business maturely, how on earth will you handle an upset customer? :shrug01:

And finally, just having a trademarked name wont take you as far as a good reputation for quality animals and service will.

According to the screencaps of your FB status, you asked people to send emails to this guy so you could get him to change the name of his "business". You claim that you specified no hate-mail, but I'm not seeing that anywhere here.

Why send people on some witch hunt to begin with? Why not register a similar domain such as eyelash-exotics.com, eyelashexoticsUS.com, or .net, .co, .tk, .biz, etc? Why start a bunch of drama over a silly domain name?

And, if you've been working hard to build a reputation for over 2 years, or whatever, why didn't you register the domain at that point in time? Its cheap and easy to purchase a domain for several years, you don't even need a hosting package to go with it all you need to do is register it as yours. It really isn't that hard.

A. Started a business a long time ago.

B. I have plenty of people who know who I am as a person and are happy doing business with me. People who see me as a bully have every right to their own opinion.

C. I didn't drag this stupid tiff into the BOI in the first place. I care about my business but not enough to listen to random people that have NEVER spoken to me before tell me they don't want to do business with me.

Lastly, Kita is posting about alleged previous bullying I've done, which is why I'm personally speaking to her.

All of this is just a HUGE annoyance. It's a reptile forum- permanent or not, I'm not going to sit and cry over a "bad guy" post that nobody bothered to read long enough to realize I didn't do anything cruel or wrong.

I definitely don't feel the need to defend myself any further so don't expect me to. It's been fun, guys. Everything was resolved yesterday on my end, this guy just wants to drag it out into something it's not.

Like I said, about ten times now, I apologized personally to him for doing that. I took it down only a few minutes after I posted it because a friend of mine warned me it might start drama (which was not my intent) and I posted it on two pages. They decided to use a screenshot of the one that didn't say it, but instead I commented and said NO HATE MAIL.
