In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Outback Reptiles - Northern Virginia

I have known and done business with Ian Gniazdowski, owner of outback reptiles for over 13 years now. He has been one of the most honest people I have ever done business with. They have a lot cool and hard to find reptiles and his animals are well cared for. Very knowledgeable crew. I have bought and proved out numerous pos and hets from Ian and never a problem or petty grievance between us. Love Outback!

I have been dealing with Outback for years and have never had a single issue with them. All of the guys are great and really care about the animals. I have been down to their shop at least a dozen times and i can personally say that they are by far the cleanest and best setup importer/wholesaler i've seen. The animals are all housed in correct setups and not overcrowded. The staff are there are there weekends and late nights (a couple of times were still there untill 10 or 11 at night) and really do care about each animal that comes in. All the guys are great and honest and have been great assets to my own personal collection. I would really like to see proof that they were "rude" or whatever else stephen is claiming. As for the comparison to GCB, clearly you have never seen their facility or how dedicated they are to the animals. I know you can't prove poor conditions, because i have seen the place myself, and even when things were crazy with late night shipments coming in, everyone stayed until all animals were checked and setup correctly, never cutting corners. They are great guys in my book, and i will continue to do business with them.

I have been dealing with Outback for several years now and have never had any issues. I buy from them multiple times per month and they all have always been good to me and my family. Ive never walked away from a transaction with them feeling like I got the raw end of the deal. Which I cant say about alot of people in this industry. My personal collection has for the most part come from them. As for this Stephen character, until you have been to there facility and seen there operation and how well they take care of there animals, you should probably keep untrue comments to yourself. I will be buying from them this weekend at the Hamburg show and might be seeing them at the White Plains show as well.

I have been to Ian's house. Spur of the moment trip to his facility where he had all his rainbows and balls. I have to say that I was amazed at how incredible everything looked. 5-6 inches of fresh cypress in all the sub adult and adult cages, every water dish was clean, and all the animals I saw looked fantastic. I have gotten lots of animals from outback and I have not had any issues with anything that I have put into my collection.

I've bought a few snakes from Outback as well...never an issue. Ian's one of the most knowledgeable people I've met in the business.

I have only purchased one pair of snakes from them and they were outstanding to do business with. They allowed me to make payments over time, they answered my phone call after hours when they were busy working and they sent me animals of exceptional quality. I would not hesitate to do business with them again.

When I got back into reptiles 5 years ago, I had the pleasure to start working with Ian, Josh & Co. right from the start. They have been very helpful, knowledgeable and honest with me. I've made over $25K in purchases from them to date and will continue to do so based on their integrity. (I've done business with several other big name imports from around the country at the same time. Sadly there has only been a couple of others that have come close to the benchmark Outback has set.)

I enjoy visiting their facility often especially when the imports arrive. The entire staff is on hand to immediately unpack, inspect, treat and set-up each animal. The enclosures and the shop are clean and pleasant. Ian's breeding facility is top notch, professional and very closely monitored, documented and managed.

All the animals, (accept amphibians), are set up on Cyprus that Ian has custom ordered and processed to their specifications. They spend the extras on quality enclosures, rack systems, heating controls and labor to insure clean and healthy husbandry. This is not like the typical large scale import warehouses of Florida or the ill fated GCB disaster of late. Their facility is more like a high-end private collection on a commercial scale.

I wish them all the best,

Michael's Tokay Hoard
