In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy ED CLARK what a piece of work!

I did a trade a year ago w/ Ed, that I initiated...........4 a Lesser Ball $1500

I traded the{9-animals + gecko}seasons RosyBoa offspring to aquire........When the snakes arrived to him.......He changed his mind-due 2 size. We agreed on $500 to be added at a later date..........

I was Not happy w/ that, but wanted Python, and already shipped across country. He was going to add 2 "specials/unusuals" from Africa Import.

6 weeks later: My Python Died..........After many months.......Ed calls for $500..............I explain disappointment............We mutually agree to call it Done. Both frustrating, yet Fair. I never received "unusuals" agreed upon previously.......But Ed did Not receive cash promised, after Original Trade
either.............It was a wash.......I have an expensive Popcycle though:ack2:

When you can convert that gibberish into the English language, and actually provide an email or two that you both exchanged (just to establish that you even actually had a deal with him) I'll be all ears.

Till then I don't know why anyone, including Ed, would waste their time deciphering that nonsense.

But if I were to go on what I can barely understand, it sounds sort of like this....

I initiated a trade.
I sent undersized animals.
Ed and I spoke about it and called it a wash and a done deal.
I reserve the right to whine about it like a child a year later on a public forum.

Chuck, do you really think that was necessary? I believe this infraction puts you into the locker room for 30 days.... :NoNo: The next one will be permanent, you know.....

Your time line is a bit confusing. After 6 weeks the python died, you put it in the freezer where it has been kept for how long? Weeks? Months? A Year? You are saying Ed is now wanting his $500 "After many months" so I have to assume the snake has been in your freezer for about a year.

What caused the snakes death? After 6 weeks it can be from poor husbandry on your end. Do you have any e-mail transactions between you and Ed?

I hear you man, I dont really know much about that issue, just wanted to see a resolution posted, thats all..... I doubt he would send me a reptile w/ me sending the money to john martino as payment for his debt but, you never know.

Just so its clear, I have NOTHING against Ed Clark, at all.
Your right chuck, he does have some amazing beardies....

I wasnt trying to attack him in any way, just wanted to see him or john finally post a resolution after such a long period of time.

I know some dealers have problems with people from time to time, but a problem like this, between 2 or 3 well known dealers was just like......WOW!

Take care chuck, nice talking to you

His beardies are nice ever stop and wonder if and from where he may be getting them from???
When it comes down to it buying from ed its easier than trying to collect the money he owes you. The fact that he would owe money to someone is no big surprise to me. Getting owed money from ed is like pulling teeth. Or more frustrating because of all the excuse he will throw your way...

Not-so-Critical

I like your "salesman picture though" Sham-Wow at your response though!

You can slice it, dice-it, mash it, mix-it,........fix-it....Bam! It's still just a source to consider.

For the record.......{Not a broken-one}........Ed and I, have No hard-feelin's
between each other.........I was just pointing-out another view, When "trouble-shooting" w/ Ed Clark. :shootfoot

And the "Trophy" snake {at-the-time} had arrived to my door Clearly Healthy!

Ed made the deal work for me......Although my snakes were only misrepresented by one Months Age.
I was heart-broken, but, these things happen in the Hobby. Not Eds fault.

Furthermore, I do Not, see a need to prove this to anyone by Posting Pics, receipts, etc. Ed Clark did Not want me to ship him the "Frozen" Ball, which I offered to do *FREE* and is still in my freezer.......with Walt Disney and Michael - LOL  yes......after over a year! But, we are EVEN now, I feel.;)

Huh?

OK, lets see...your initial post was confusing, to say the least...

6 weeks later: My Python Died

We mutually agree to call it Done.

I'll tell you what I got out of that...ED sent you a sick snake, then he bullied you into agreeing to drop it and "call it a wash."

Then comes your follow up post...

And the "Trophy" snake {at-the-time} had arrived to my door Clearly Healthy!

Ed made the deal work for me......Although my snakes were only misrepresented by one Months Age.

Thanks for the clarification, although it would have been nice had you added that the first time around. What did you think we would get out of the story from your first post? Omitting something that important lead me (and probably others) to believe that ED was in the wrong.

I do Not, see a need to prove this to anyone by Posting Pics, receipts, etc.

I do not see a need for why you even posted here. All you ended up doing is show that you send out misrepresented animals and that you have poor husbandry, causing an otherwise "clearly healthy" snake to die.

Darn it, Chuck...pick your battles next time...this was NOT worth it!

Another satisfied customer Ed? :NoNo:

Jason, did you ever have a necropsy performed? I would be mighty curious to know what the animal died from, since you aren't the first to mention such a thing about an animal coming from Ed. If you haven't, it's a little late now unless it's something obvious that stands out at the visual part of the exam. But freezing destroys cells and a lot of information could have been obtained otherwise.

Since you're not a woman, Ed's not likely to come and defend himself with more then flat denial. Sorry, that's just how he rolls.

Some animals live and thrive right and some dont. When it comes to husbandry skills Ed knows whats in the book and that may be it. But when a person goes around buying all these different animals to re-sell to you ( the buyer) you really dont know what or who's animals your buying. It could be a sick animal and because that person bought it and knows nothing about it, they may re-sell it not knowing the condition. Or re-sell it and let you worry about the vet bill. And after reading the threads on the b.o.i. Ed has sold some nice animals and there are a few satisfied customers, but when a customer has seemed to of have had a problem. It doesnt seem like ed was there to stand behind the animals he bought/bred then re-sold.

Even mediocre care should grant an animal a longer life span then a few weeks or months. CBB, WC, what ever. I'm not going to doubt Jason's take on the transaction, because it sounds just like Ed to change a deal midstream, and somehow make it so he ends up being the one that's owed the $$ instead of the other guy.

That's called flipping, and that's what Ed does. And according to Ed, he has his animals tested, randomly and regularly. Yet he has yet to offer a single vet report to prove it. He deals in WC animals, as we all know, and I believe it's a requirement for them to undergo a check and/or quarantine process. Not dealing with imports, I wouldn't know just how extensive that process is. Maybe just a visual, with a few days of quarantine for all I know. :shrug01: But I'm about 100% SURE that Ed does not practice quarantine, because too many of his animals were sold very shortly after Ed acquired them.

Even a blind squirrel can find a nut. Of course he's had some good transactions. He also deals mainly with the younger generation. People who most likely don't have a whole lot of experience, and wouldn't know some things about the animals, the hobby, the BOI. But seems like the experienced ones tend to have a complaint, be it serious, or mild.

You keep saying you and Ed are good. It's not his fault, things happen. If you really felt that way, why would you bump Ed's thread to the top, and add what seems to me, to be a negative experience? It's not like his thread was on the first or second page. You had to find it. Why would you come and add to this, but not want to offer proof? You say it's just to let people know, then let people know that whole story, both sides, and not just your take on it.

I may not like Ed, but your side, presented the way it was, just seems lacking in something now that I think on it. Which is part of why people ask to see the emails. :yesnod:

Well no debate outta me on that, I either agree or already know!

Banning a member now deletes their posts too? Sorta makes my last comment make me look crazy. Not saying that I'm NOT crazy, but I know I wasn't just randomly throwing something out there, and was actually responding to someones comment.

**to clarify, that user was posting the same thing across multiple threads, unrelated to the topic at hand.

nothing wrong with someone bumping an old thread to add relevant info.

Just to add a little to what April stated, Even if a member posted irrelevant stuff to a thread it normally would have stayed and the user may have encountered some infraction points. However, this user was just spamming every thread in every forum on this site with the same irrelevant message and was up to forty something posts and wasn't stopping to figure out how this site works. So with one swoop of the keystroke all his posts went bye-bye and he can try again when his timeout has ended.

Generally speaking, posts and threads are not deleted from the BOI, but on occasion there are legitimate reasons for doing so. Spammers will sometimes sneak through my defenses, as well as sometimes someone banned will create a bogus account to bypass the ban in order to be able to post here. Such posts can be deleted, and oftentimes certainly are.

Most entertaining circus thread Ive ever had the patience or privilage to read!!!! I laughed soooo hard my face hurts! Hope everybody envolved was satisfied.
