• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Summary:

I paid Tara Reed for a female cinnamon ball python and recieved a male cinnamon ball python. After 24 hours, Tara has refused to contact me at all after I've made numerous attempts to contact her through different methods of communication.

When I looked back to her past "d0llm0uth" identity I had seen that she has a history of sending out unhealthy animals and then refusing to contact the purchaser for resolution. I wish I had saw that before I made this purchase.

On 2/25 I contacted Tara to purchase a female Cinnamon ball python that she had posted in an ad here. The snake was in a photo on a scale that showed 895 grams. Since Tara has since pulled the ad, I found the same snake listed on her personal facebook page. Below are screenshots of her photos of the snake.

Below are my photos of the same snake. It's difficult to pop a snake with one hand while taking a picture with an iphone, but you can see that it is the same snake that Tara had photos of, and that it is a male and it is currently only 705 grams.

Due to a 12 image limit per message, I will continue in another message below.

I'm not sure it is necessary, but here is all of our correspondence, in order. You must click on them to get a photo large enough to read.

As you can see, after more than 24 hours Tara hasn't made any attempt to resolve my problem. She did not respond on Fauna, her last visit here was at 9am this morning, 3/8.

She also blocked my email address and I began receiving "delivery failure" notices.

I tried to call, and it went to voicemail after just two rings. I did not leave a message.

A PayPal dispute has been filed. To not be concerned about MY problem, Tara sure didn't waste any time fighting my PayPal dispute.

I am waiting for PayPal's resolution.

This is for PayPal's use if a claims agent is to check this thread.

ThirdCoast Exotics is selling same age and sized MALE ball pythons as what I received for $150. I paid $310 for a female, and I did not recieve a female.

Attached is a screenshot of the ad for males and a better photo of this one being popped.

Wonderful presentation. I appreciate when all the parts are put together properly and I dont have to ask for it all. Now we sit back and hope this mess gets sorted out.

I also sent her a pm about this thread.

Sorry to hear this, but so common! I see all these auctions online, from unknown 'people,' my goodness... What are people thinking!

I'm sorry, but if you/they/we think those are safe, smoking hot deals that can't be passed up! (Jeff Foxworthy tone) HERE'S YOUR SIGN!

There are a lot of people out there that are horrible with communication. Takes some of the fun out of this.

Hope you get satisfactory resolution.

Brandon: Be prepared to ship the snake back to her in order to get your refund. By saying "prepared" I mean video him in great condition, video him being packed up, video the address printed correctly on the box......seriously practice some "cover your butt".

Do not give her the opportunity to dispute anything!

I wouldnt send the snake back without a full refund first. What is to stop her from getting the snake and keeping the money?

Since she hasn't logged on I also sent her an email.

Facebook seems to be the new craigslist and I would advise against purchasing from people on there especially if you haven't done any research on the person. Even at that point they would need 100% customer satisfaction for me to even consider it. Its kinda like eBay and if they aren't a power seller with a great rep I don't even look.

In the two times I have had to file claims with PayPal, I was required to provide tracking info that showed I sent the critter back in order for Paypal to issue my reimbursement.

Don't send without that PayPal email though!

But a little knowledge, follow my advice when you do send her back. 100% says she will try to say the snake arrived in bad condition or pin something on you that isn't true.

The original ad was here on Fauna, I later found the photos on facebook to share here.

Magic, I definately will keep all of what you've said in mind. Thank you for that reminder also.

Dont work that way with Paypal. Once tracking of said item is returned the seller has 7 days to refund the money or paypal will. Once dispute is put in place, her account is frozen and all money is locked till claim is over.

Buyer must return according to PP TOS inorder to get money back.

Yep, Rich is right. You were sent a snake and received it. According to PayPal she did her part, wrongly sexed or not. You wll have to send it back first. Definitely follow the advice of documentng the whole thing so she can't pull any BS, though. Good luck!

If you paid with a CC or bank Card, go though them. I never deal with Paypal as they dont give a crap about you as sellers most time. To refund the money they lose their cut on the sale and they hate that.
