In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Picked this up today. Was shopping for a .454 Casull round but ones i found were over priced. But this one stood out perfect and snagged it up

Its a Taurus .44 Magnum with 8" Barrel and pictured with one of my daily Carriers Taurus .357

Decent budget wheel gun, inside 50yds it will get it done with some authority
Common quirk is the front blade, put a drop of blue locktite on the screw and run it up snug, its common with big bore Taurus to kick the blades off.

Congrats!

This gun will be sighted in at 100 yards easy. Good shot can do 200 easy as well.

I got it for Deer hunting for the ability to have knock down power.

As for the 3 screws on the gun, I always check on all my revolvers after shooting. DOnt want to deal with glue on them when i open up for cleanings

Never known folks to break the sight blade off for cleaning but its a Taurus and they do buck the sight blades off,its all part of being generic :)

It definitely looks impressive. I've just never been much of a revolver fan. When I was a kid, my mom had a stupid little .22 short automatic pistol that she'd let me fire on occasion. Thing wasn't worth a damn at any more than about 10 feet, but it was enough to make me fall in love with automatics. I'm definitely not a "gun freak", but I've done a bit of target shooting. I really like the M1911A .45 ACP.

Ive just switched to Revolvers for their power, accuracy over Semi Autos.

.22 caliber is very very popular right now. If you have one dont sell it.

I was always more of a rifle kinda guy. Here's an old pic of me with my favorite toy. I started out with a couple of lightly sporterized Norinco SKS's, then eventually moved up to this. I have pretty simple taste. I didn't use it nearly enough to justify having it, but I still kinda miss it. If/when I ever decide to get another rifle, I'm leaning towards something like a bullpup.

I really want a full autp p90,m16 and thompson. But with the pre 86 law i cant justify spending 10-50k on a gun and be in ATF database. So ill just gawk at them

Nice! Hope you have as much fun with it as I have with my Super Redhawk. :D

You Ass, thats the one i went for today. Super Redhawk with 8" barrel but was at 1100$ and i was $200 shy of buying it lol. I wanted the RedHawk due to the .454 casull round, but .44mag will do well too.

Naah aint hating on generics, they are what they are and the majority have well known quirks. Once corrected or avoided by early correction they all send the lead down range.
That .44 will shoot equally well in single action or double, the rubber grips do take alot off the shock to the wrist during a good speed round.

Have fun

Obviously your a Taurus Hater, and prefer not to head that way. Ive shot expensive revolvers and none feel the way taurus does for me.

They're worth the money. This was one of my first I purchased, and I got it used for a great cash deal. Also picked up a Ruger .357 mag with a 4" barrel. They're my "fun" guns when I'm tired of plinking with the .223. Everyone's out there with their little 9mms, then this thing roars and the heads whip around.

Most gun shop guys are happy to do a layaway for you, if that's the one you really want. Do it, you'll be happy you did. Tell the wife it'll help with your eye issues from the ER stuff. :D

Come on down to WV and you can play with an M16 and Thompson, both with happy switches. Not transferable though, they're post-samples, I hold an 07 FFL / C2 SOT.

Also have MP5, MG42, M2, 1919, BAR, Glock 18, and a few others in the safe...

You gotta buy the ammo though. Prices are making me go .

It was between this Taurus or the Ruger Super Redhaws .454 Casull. But i was $200 shy of getting it that day.

Im not sure if i want to deal with sights, as im not sure if my rail on the gun is enough to hold the rights, of if i go get an rail adapter. As I plan to carry it for CPL so having Scope would need me to take it on and off, which will only throw off the accuracy.

As for ammo, I got 50rds of 240g Jacket Hollow Points Reloads using XTP Hornady JHP tips. If i wanted the Flat Top ones would of been 38$ for 50rds.
