Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Geoffrey, if you "smelled a scam brewing" I'm having a hard time believing that you wouldn't make sure you had proof of disclosing the scar to the buyer. Are you willing to refund the buyer if you receive the cham back first?

I guess it's a good thing that your buddy has no interest in his reputation. Considering your "additions" to this thread, any association with you would have to be considered pretty destructive, at least in regards to his likelihood being taken very seriously.

So, which is it? Did you delete all your pics on CF to free up space which ended up deleting the pics, or did a mod delete it?
 
I have nothing to do him in this thread. I posted a thread thanking him in chameleon forums. My post in this thread are about mafia89 and him pm'ing me over and over about this situation. You would have known that if you would have read my first post.

Look guys, this thread is getting ridiculous!! I have NO control over someones first amendment rights!! Mafia89, I am always signed in even when NOT on the forum!! It's called the "remember me" check box!! That doesn't prove that I was watching this forum the whole time!! I was DONE with you the minute I found out you started an "UNAUTHORIZED" claim against me!! I have said all I am going to say here and that's that!! I will END this by saying..."may the best man win"!!;)

Posting here has nothing to do with first amendment rights. The stance you're taking on this makes it seem to me like it's possible you scammed him. This could come back to bite you in the rear anytime someone searches your name on the internet for any reason, not just reptile related. I'd love for you to prove yourself innocent. Where in the conversation that the buyer posted did you disclose the scar?

I do not believe the remember me works that way. It remembers you when you visit the forum so you don't have to type in your password and after an hr of no activity you get lodged off. I might be wrong.

Not sure what the time period is but that is right Bill, after no activity for awhile it automatically logs you off.

The fact is Mafia89 is a known crybaby and liar so anything he says is not credible, he has bashed well known breeders and reported some bogus info. I'm out ladies!
 
- Why did you claim on here that you deleted your pics on CF, yet in a PM to Mr. Mafia, claimed a mod did it? Those two things are mutually exclusive.


- Why did you claim on here that you told Mr. Mafia via PM that there were scars on the chameleon, yet in the screen-caps of the PM conversation posted, there is no mention at all of any scars or burns?

You expect us to give you a pass on these two glaring contradictions of reality and all that is rational because, as you claim, you're not "computer savvy".



Yet at the same time, you want to completely discredit Mr. Mafia because of what type of claim he filed against you, even though the very payment method you insisted multiple times that he use essentially left him without a paddle and unable to file a typical business dispute as he would have been able to do had payment been made through "goods and services".

Mr. Mafia, you should definitely keep in contact with PayPal and explain to them the details of the situation, including how the seller of this BUSINESS TRANSACTION insisted to you multiple times that you send him payment through Friends and Family so he could get away with not paying PayPal fees.

Definitely include the screen-caps of the PMs here, and any other info you think would help. Also, if PayPal support via email and phone isn't helping, send them a PM through the AskPayPal Twitter account. It is an official account specifically for customer inquiries and verified by Twitter. I've used them before and they are very prompt and easy to communicate with. Don't have Twitter? It takes 3 minutes to create an account.

Seller did some shady things and has seriously questionable answers. Buyer is a bit rough around the edges and doesn't wear a halo, either. But, as Dan pointed out...on THIS case, Geoffrey Marshall is looking like a bad guy and the OP is looking like a victim.

Took my holes in the seller's story.
 
Ummm... Why is everyone ignoring the immediate PayPal claim? I see a lot of nitpicking on details, but that's the one piece of actual evidence that's been posted, and it very much supports the seller's story.

According to the documentation posted the claim was not filed for an item 'not as described' it was filed for an 'unauthorized transaction'. Basically the person who's PayPal account was used waited until they got shipping confirmation then filed a claim saying that their account had been compromised.
