In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy UnderGround Reptiles should stay underground

I'm still waiting for a purchase of Vorax geckos I made back on January 10th from them.
I didn't get contacted, or anything, nothing shipped either.

And if Underground reptiles needs to see the post I can gladly post a picture of the transaction and it being completed.

If plausible, I would very much so like if you could check on that Underground reptiles.

And you still want the animals after all this....

Id want my money back!

To be quite honest, Rich, I think that'd be the best thing for me, because that's a long wait period for no response.
Vorax geckos were about to be the next thing I do, and I've still been waiting for a response.

I think this has gone way off the op's original post. I personally would like to see if the injures in question were disclosed or not. I bought a water monitor a few months ago from them and it is thriving. In fact out of the 7 i have (hoping for a pair) it is the friendlier of them all. Maybe i got lucky on the deal but that is my experience with them. Yes sometimes things go wrong but it sounds like they are willing to make it right wich is more then most people are willing to do now a day.

I'm still waiting for them to make good on a pastel that was sick and died years ago that I bought from them.
So far all I have gotten have been excuses and been called names by their employees.
Ian and his crew is a piece of work. Avoid them.

So now that this thread has gone completely off the rails where is the proof? So far the OP hasn't come back to back up his claim and we have UG stating just the opposite, also with no proof.

I'm not taking either side right now, but at this point it's he said/she said.

I did call Underground reptiles about my whole Vorex gecko issue. They were happy to refund it quickly and easily with no problems.

I've bought several animals from underground , and some would die or would be sick , but they always made it right with me .

In my opinion, this is thread is doing exactly what it was meant to do. Allow others to voice there opinion.

Where's the proof? I think the multiple posts on here are proof enough for me.

And they are entitled to provide their opinion. If it's good enough for you then great. However, my post was directed to the OP and Underground, which you can see by rereading my previous post. Just because some people have had bad experiences with Underground doesn't mean the OP is justified in his actions without proof.

Same goes for Underground, just because they claim all of this was discussed before hand doesn't mean it happened that way. Proof is needed.

Again, I'm not defending either side of this debate seeing as how, at this point, nothing concrete has been brought to the table.

That's great but did they give you a reason why its been 6 months and you received nothing.
I am asking because we are looking at purchasing a few things from them, but 6 months and no contact kind of says don't do it. Did you ever try to contact them during the 6 months?

I did try to contact via email, though no response. The problem was my shipping address had changed and i forgot to make a confirmation. I did get my full refund in less than half an hour, and they were great to talk on the phone with.

Your proof

Allow me to take a minute to refute Mr. Fluty’s claim. First these animals were not recently purchased. They were purchased on April 5, 2013. Secondly the injuries Mr. Fluty is referring to were mentioned to him which is why they were originally marked at $2,000 and discounted to him at his request for $1750 which we agreed upon. The eye injury was a very old injury that had healed which Mr. Fluty knew about and was okay with. These animals were kept separately by a local friend of ours who had purchased them 5 years prior. Mr. Fluty knows the man and his contact info, which we provided him at his request so he could familiarize himself with how they were cared for. The issues with the bottom of the legs were also old scars that Mr. Fluty knew about but later tried saying they were open infections, for which he provided us with no veterinarian verification. He conveniently offered to forget about these scars if we send him $100 for which we refused and twice offered to have the monitors sent back to us. We heard nothing from him since then. It seems obvious if he had a real problem he would have been happy to send the animals back to us. However, it became obvious to us he just wanted more money and given that everything was disclosed and the monitor already discounted we were not willing to do anything else but take the monitors back. I’m also curious as to why Mr. Fluty waited so long to post if his experience was so poor. As far as Rich’s comments go it is obvious you have some issue with us, of which I am not certain since I do not believe we have had business together. I am hoping the BOI would be used by senior members such as yourself to bring about resolution and facts not unfounded cheap insults. We are happy members of the faunaclassified community and hope those reading this post will see the ridiculous nature of Mr. Fluty’s claim given everything that was done for him.

This is the report my vet kindly supplied me at the time of the animals visit.

This is the picture I sent to Underground.
female-A.jpg

The price was $2000 at the start. I offered $1800, they countered with $1850. Fair price for "healthy" animals. Now think about it, would someone, in their right mind, really pay that kind of money for an animal that was missing an eye and had injuries that needed medical attention?

I was able to examine the monitors more closely the next day after they arrived. This is when I called Underground and explained to Rian (the owner, not the guy putting his post on here) that these animals had injuries and that they were not represented accurately (as explained in 1st post). This is where the additional $100 off the price came in because they knew I was right. Even though they did offer to take the animals back and refund my money, I could not in good conscience let that happen to these animals.

I called them again after the vet visit (which was only $52). I was just trying to explain to them about the care they received and how to care for these animals in the future. They got defensive, accusing me of trying to "rip" them off. How do you figure that??? I did not ask for another cent from them. I believe that these are very closed minded people that care nothing about this hobby or the animals they sell. And they certainly do not care about listening to their customers.

And as far as waiting so long to post something like this....I got better things to do. So, for those of you that choose to do business with Underground, good luck.

The reason I bought

The reason I bought the crocodile monitors is that I have been looking for a male to breed with my female for over a year. This was explained at the very beginning of my first conversation with Underground. I needed a male that was large enough and mature enough to be a breeder. I was told the male was 6ft. This is about the right size, in a normal growth rate, that the male is mature enough to breed with a female. The male is only 5ft. To make things worse the male is 5years old which means he is stunted in his growth.

So, now I have a male that is not ready to breed and I will have to wait 6-12 months for him to grow into maturity, if he ever will. Meanwhile I have a list of people that want to buy my babies that I am not able to produce as a result of this transaction. So, this has not only cost me future money, but my time as well.

So this lizard cannot breed until it is 6 feet? I'm curious as to why that is, if it is 5 years old?
