    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've been having difficulty viewing images posted as attachments today. Not all of them...but at least 50% of the threads I've clicked on today. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of consistency, either. One person made 4 consecutive posts with attached images, and I could only view the last one.

I've gone into the posts to see how they were attached; used 2 different browsers; as well as trying "show picture", copy image url, and open image in a new tab.

I don't know how widespread it is, but I'm not the only one having the problem.
 
Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing. Just appears random to me. Some threads have the attached photos displaying just fine, and others are missing. :shrug01:

I know there was a glitch at the server earlier in the afternoon today, and the server apparently got rebooted at that time, but I have no idea if that's when the attachment problem became evident. I may have to reboot the server later this evening to see if that helps any.

Oh well.........
 
weird. I haven't noticed any issues seeing them but I did notice when fauna went offline for a while
 
Is it working now? I rebooted the server and ran a routine to fix some attachment tables in this site's database. I still see one thread with a problem, but it's one I looked at very recently and maybe I'm only seeing the cached page. Everything else I look at seems OK....
 
I've visited a few of the threads that I remembered from earlier; and everything seems okay. Probably won't be doing too much bouncing around 'til I get home, though.
 
The first post in the dirty pastel thread (BP discussion); HELL (HELL) last page (at least when I looked) - 4 posts by Metachrosis. There were others; but those are the ones that come to mind quickly.
 
I noticed this the other day and just thought maybe I was having problems with my web browser but I am glad to know I am not the only one to have noticed it and the problems are now resolved :).
