I can understand why Guy does not want such a bad deal. The cost of the two snakes you offered don't come near what he payed you. The math just does not ad up. It seems to me he has been way to patient with you at this point. The first offer of several snakes would have been okay atleast he could have sold them to recoupe his loss. The deal you are offering now he looses money not to mention three years of aggravation I am sure he has felt through this situation. You recently posted a huge list of available balls for sale. Why not make him a fair offer. Once you excepted his money the deal was on you. If you got ripped off that is for you to pursue not for your customer to get stuck with. He is a relatively unknown person in the reptiles so he would have to sell them lower to even get rid of them in this market. I think that should be taken into account by you when making offers. He will not be able to get the same for them that you would. Why would any body buy from an unknown person for the same price as a known breeder????? If they are worth the same why not sell them and give the man his money back?

I am glad to hear you have come to a fair agreement. You are right it should never have came to him posting here. It should have been settled long ago.

This has taken several years to play out because each new deal was under the assumption that babies had to hatch. The other main factor, I paid for scaleless corns and have never been involved with Ball Pythons which is what I was offered. I was concerned over the weekend when I did not hear from Carson from email or phone, which is why I posted the thread. I wanted to make sure that Carson a I were on the same page for the deal moving forward. I just spoke to Carson on the phone an our new deal is:

1.0 Banana Ball Python
1.0 Puma Ball Python
3 Adult Normal Females or 3 2013 Yellow Belly Females

The Banana will ship when weather allows and I will receive the normal or yellowbellies by March 2014. The male Puma will be sent by July 2014.

I can not wait for this transaction to be complete. I will let everyone know once it is final.

I was in contact with mr miles for a few months and then his phones was off

I contacted my lawyer and had him send letter with 0 RESPONCE

I contacted local police and there was no one at that address

After a few months of trying nothin was accomplished

I asked guy what he wanted to do he stated he would like other reptiles
Which I have here waiting to be shipped and after there shipped I'm out the money I could have sold them for


So after its all said and done

I'm out and I can live with that

Perhaps you could post a copy of that letter your lawyer sent. Does your lawyer have a name? Why did you not post a bad guy thread when you supposedly got burned for the three grand?

Well first off
I was doing guy a favor on getting him scaleless cornsnakes which was my fault on trying to help him out
I was burned for the cash he sent me

So to make things rite

We made a virble agreement via phone a month or so ago that I would ship him a banana male
I asked guy if he wanted it now or after it had a few meals

He stated lets wait til he feeds

The banana has eaten once so far
And I haven't heard from guy lately
I have his snake no problem

There are two separate issues here. One is Steve burning you. I think it would help the community if he had a Bad Guy thread so the rest of us are warned and have an informed choice on whether we want to do business with Steve.

The second is your responsibility to the OP. Hopefully the offer of reptiles you made will be completed and the OP will feel as if his $3000 was well spent. I do think that by taking the $3000 even though you did not gain from it, that you are as responsible as if you were the seller.
If the OP ultimately decides he wants a refund in such a circumstance, he would be entitled to it. He would get refunded from you, and you would have to go after Steve.

You are trying to make good by your offer of reptiles, and hopefully you will go after Steve for the funds so that you are not out after all of this.

Getting to hot in the kitchen? Why not post a copy of the letter your lawyer sent? Dated and signed of course. Last year is a far stretch from almost three years ago. Your posts are awefully vague. Anyone have proof of the timelines you disagree on? How did Steve know to contact you? Something is fishy here.

It's not "handled" yet. This isn't about going back and forth. It's about your reputation and the op's satisfaction, which remains to be seen. You are avoiding some very provocativr questions like the plague. Even if you make this deal right, I would avoid you like the plague. You are acting like you have something to hide. How about proving the timeline by posting a bank statement when you deposited the three grand? How about posting the letter sent by your lawyer. How much did that cost you? Post the receipt.

I was just trying to seal the deal for guy
He was really stoked about scaleless corns and I was stoked that I could get them for him

So it was done really quick

I received pix if the scaleless corns and everything

Didn't think it was shady at all

It was my bad

After that deal
I told myself never again
It's was a costly lesson learned

Almost three years ago I paid Carson $3,000 for a pair of baby scaleless and a pair of her scaleless cornsnakes. I had purchased several scaleless ratsnakes from him previously so I did not question him when he asked me to deposit the money in his Bank of America account. Shortly after is when I started getting excuse for not receiving what I paid for. The first reason was the breeder he paid screwed him. Then the next year the breeder lost his entire set of eggs in the incubator because of the hurricane. Then last December(2012) we came to a new deal on ball pythons because it was clear to me Carson had no intention of completing our deal and I would not see the snakes or my money back. The new deal was 1.0 pied, 0.2 het pied, 0.2 yellowbellies, 2- 2013 Co Dominant Her Ultramel and one 2013 Spark, which I was to received by end of September 2013.

Then in September of this year Carson told me he did not breed any of his ball pythons this year and he could not get me what we had agreed on. So I asked for my money back and he said he could not pay me. He then came back trying to make a new deal on a male Banana. Which we never finalized because I wanted him to agree upfront of the whole complete deal so I would not get a Banana that cost me $3000, a long wait and a lot of headache.


I have never received any snakes or my money back. I would not have done business with Carson if I knew this is how he treats his customers. Any vendor that wanted to correct this problem would have done so as soon as they knew they could not fulfill what their customer paid for instead of stealing their money.

One last thing Carson. Guy stated that the "breeder" lost the entire clutch of rggs the next year. Is Guy referring to Steve? If so, how did you know that?

Anyone know of Steve Miles? Admittedly I'm no ace internet detective, but I went to Cornsnakes.com, did a search, nothing. Internet search, nothing. You'd think if he was a breeder of fancy new scaleless corn snakes, he'd be on the radar somewhere. Perhaps I am just not searching the right way.
