In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy TIBOR PAPP DEAL BREAKER

What a guy Tibor.
I think we all have been offered more money from another person trying to buy the same litter. As a good business person we should not reneg on a prior deal made with another person.
If OP was ok and trusted Joe to send a check,he should have waited the few days it takes to see if it came. Joe offered on several occasions to send $$ to pay pal and the guy didnt want to do it. I say the guy is wrong and Joe was warranted in writting the bad guy thread.
I have personally done business with Joe on 2 occasions and he is very honest and reliable when saying he will pay!!!
He does not waste your time.

oh and thanks for the bad karma.....Feels good i can speak an opinion even though a person disagrees. I read the thread. I agree on the double dealing/greed. I guess my experiences in business I know this happens in many things out there. Would i practice this kind of business....NO. Will i do business with that person? No. But i was just throwing another (spin, view, opinion, view point, etc). Still stating the greed and bad business practice upon the seller. I still stick to my view though. It SUCKS not getting what you were waiting for. But I still stand by what i said. IT could have ended alot WORSE. And the BOI and the people OF the boi....has again exposed someone who does bad business. And DAMN it im in the RED AGAIN!!!! hehehehe. I cant even begin to explain how great this BOI is for bringing out bad practice in this hobby as this selller has done.

You can have the greatest insight here and still get red chicklets if you disagree with some here with a sense of self entitlement. Get used to it. I am not so sure sure that I agree with your statement the BOI has "again exposed someone who does bad business". That implies that said person has a history of doing so. I have yet to see a patern thus far.

are you guys still beating me up..I did say I'm guilty of not selling my boas to Joe correct?
my main reasons is a phone call from joe..and we are talking and I mention my concern for shipping a litter 27 babies..I mentioned one bag..with a good built box..I did not have 27 snake bags at the moment..and he said he didn't care just get them here..ok hmm..then an email saying he wanted them shipped to an chevy dealship...not happening lost interest..and his remark on just getting them there...so be it..hope your ck arrived...logging out for long break.

Tibor, you are not being beat up because you did not sell to Joe. You are being beat up because you placed certain demands on Joe in the deal, which he complied with (mail a check, no paypal, no credit cards). You accepted his offer and told him how to get you payment. He complied. You then sold the clutch out from under him, without communicating with him.

I understand folks here have been mailed checks that never arrived. I've had that happen as well. However, before putting the clutch back on the market, you should have contacted the buyer to confirm that they mailed the check and given a reasonable time for the check to arrive.

Your word in a deal has to count for something. Once you accepted the offer and demanded payment by mail, the check was mailed. What more could Joe have done to complete the deal?

Chalk it off to experience Joe. Tibor showed his character and ethics in pretty sharp relief on this one. He was the one who ended up damaged here. Mostly by his own flippant comments

:iagree:

I would never deal with someone who took his word so lightly. If you can't trust someone at their word, then the risk in dealing with them is too high. IMO

Came across this looking for new pics of the AMAZING pied boa.
Did he take the money and not give the snakes? NO!
So, youre just being childish, looks like youre all just jealous of Tibor being an AWESOME breeder and you want to push him down...
You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Thanks to Tibor for producing some of the coolest boa morphs in the world!
I personally hope to one day come even close to achieving what he has...

'Bert, you do know you just resurrected a year old thread, and brought your boy Tibor, and his negative thread back up to the front page? I bet Tibor is sending you a thank you email right now.

Dave

Sorry to bring this post 'back from the dead' but, in my opinion I feel that Tibor is 100% in the wrong, and in my opinion is a bad seller, and a bad breeder. Whether his stock is high quality or not he has the business skills of a malformed cat.

When a deal is made, it is made. There's no "Oh maybe I could get more money" or "What about this guy?". If you've made a deal stick to it you've not only ruined your reputation but the fools who have so blindly followed you have now also shown their lack of ethics.

'Genuine Guy' he's about as Genuine as when a guy says he put a condom on, get a grip Tibor.

Cheese and rice 'veqtro', your telling me for your first ever post on the BOI, you dig up this thread? Your obviously a cheerleader for someone that still has their feelers bent out of shape. For what? Get a grip yourself, take your opinions and odd feline references back to the swap meet or where ever you came from.

Its funny that the bad guy post on Tibor Papp was brought back to life on the exact same day Tibor Papp started a bad guy thread on someone else...for something that sounds remarkably similar.

thanks to the both ..as Joe and I repaired the broken fence last summer and all is well..this thread did tuffen me up..so thanks to all.
keep herpin:)

Im glad. I have done business(in the thousands) with both Tibor and Joe and they are both honest, awesome guys with great animals. In my opinion, this BOI thing can be good at times but as I have observed over the years, mostly it just invites garbage by self appointed professional forum commentators who have never bred anything. Joe Consolini and Tibor Papp are both great guys in my book period.

On 5-23-2012 Tibor and myself made a deal and I was to buy a clutch from him.
I offered to pay-pal him the money or use them(pay-pal) for a deposit. He told me to send a check and that will be fine. I e-mailed him to confirm the check has been sent. The check went out Thursday 5-24-2012.It was going from Ct to California. On Sunday 5-27-2012 Tibor e-mailed me asking if I was still interested and sent me photos. I once again confirmed I was and the check was in the mail and offered pay pal once again. On 5-28-2012(Memorial day) Tibor left a message with me that he sold the litter on me. I phoned him and he told me to give him a hour and he would call me back. No call back so I returned his call and told him I was serious and wanted the litter and once again offered a pay pal deposit. On 5-28-2012 at 11:32 he e-mailed me again saying they could not come up with the money so the litter is mine again if I wanted it. I assured him again that check was on the way offered pay pal once again and told him I wanted them.On 5-29-2012 Tibor emailed me saying he got my check and is sending it back to me and not sending the litter.
So I had to do a stop payment on my check and refused a couple nice litters due to expecting this litter.
I emailed Tibor and told him how I felt and his ans was basically I sold the litter to someone else. oh well.

Tibor if you make a deal you should hold your end of the deal. This fallen deal has cost me time and money.

I would just like to thank everyone who posted on this thread
Thank you
Joe

You are welcome, Joe. Hopefully this will not happen to others.

In my opinion, this BOI thing can be good at times but as I have observed over the years, mostly it just invites garbage by self appointed professional forum commentators who have never bred anything.

It is a frequent ploy by those who can't or won't respond to the issues presented, to try to divert attention.
Looking over the comments you are so quick to disparage, I see posts by quite a few members, (some who are breeders) many who feel as if breaking a deal isn't good business. Are you saying that ALL these people who posted, standing up for the honorable concept of sticking to a deal once made were talking garbage?

I'm really shocked at some of the people that I saw stand up for Tibor. Had the shoe been on the other foot and John put a stop-payment on the check and told Tibor that he changed his mind, AFTER the deal had been made, how would that have gone over? What's the difference? It's just plain bad business, no matter who did it.

I'll say this right now, no matter how good of a friend you are, and no matter how good of a deal we had yesterday or 10 years ago, if you pull this kind of crap, I'm not going to put my neck on the line to tell everyone, "he's the best person I've ever met and a great part of this hobby" or any other horse crap because I don't see how that statement holds any water. I'm glad that it wasn't any worse of a loss for the OP, but it's still bad business in my eyes, no matter how you spin it.
