DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET IN CONTACT WITH JOE CAPONE OR CLARK TUCKER?

I purchased an adult female super pastel from Joe Capone and paid her off 11/9. I wanted her shipped Wednesday, 11/13 as Joe told me Clark only shipped on Wednesdays. Joe told me that Clark didn't have that Wednesday (11/13) off and he'd ship the following Wednesday.

On 11/17 I sent a $100 deposit to [email protected] for a male pastel lesser calico washout and Joe informed me that Clark received the deposit.

Due to different reasons her shipping was postponed.

On 12/14 I get this message:

Mathew,
I am sorry to say that CLark informed that we had a rack malfunction and the adult super is not doing well. We just don't feel good about shipping her to you.. The good news is we want to ship you the lesser pastel calico washout and eat the shipping for next Weds. Let me have your address and and phone number so it can go out... THanks

Best Regards,
Joe Capone III

Usually Joe emailed me from: [email protected]

Joe said he'd send me a $75 refund and just ship me the pastel lesser calico washout since he didn't want to send the now sick female super pastel and the money I had sent paying for her would cover the male.

I emailed Joe back asking if the snake could be shipped 12/18 and got this message back from Clark:

Matt,

Hi, this is Clark. I have been slammed at work and did not get the day off today to ship. The weather is a bit too cold anyway. We will have to try for warmer weather after the holidays are over to get this done. I am very sorry and I will get up with you when it looks feasible to ship to you. I will send over your $75 refund now.

Best regards,
Clark

The $75 refund was sent to me 12/18.

Due to the temps I didn't contact Joe to ship for a couple weeks. 1/10 I emailed asking if the snake could be shipped Wednesday (1/15) and got no response. Yesterday (1/15) morning I emailed again asking when the snake could be shipped and still have not gotten a response. Yesterday (1/15) afternoon I emailed Clark at clarksgeckos@ live.com but have not gotten a response.

I decided to call the # Joe gave me to see if I'd have better luck contacting him and the # was disconnected. I tried to go to the website but got an error message saying it's unavailable. It's starting to seem as if Joe and Clark have disappeared as there was never a previous delay in responses.

This is just an inquiry but I'm hoping it doesn't turn into a bad guy post. I'm not someone who quickly jumps to conclusions and tries to trash people's names but the phone being off, site being down, and no response for almost a week has me a bit uneasy as this is my 1st experience purchasing from them.

Thanks,
Matthew Oakley

the website is registered under Joe's info. Looking at the whois info the domain should still be active -not set to expire until 1/27/14. Usually those unavailable messages don't start showing up until after the website owner has failed to renewed and the expiration date has passed. For it to show up now probably means something else is going on... maybe they renewed early and gave a bad payment or maybe someone filed a copyright abuse notice or other kind of abuse against them or something. There is a phone number listing there for Joe, but it's 2 digits too long for a legit number...though could be extra numbers were accidental.

I purchased a couple of snakes from then early last year and it took forever for them to ship them to me as well and I got the same excuses you were getting and then no responses to my emails and phone calls. I will look through my old emails and see if I can find the phone number they gave me, so you can see if it is any differnt then the one you have.

Thanks! Did you eventually receive your animals??

Buy from these guys and not many people are going to be sympathetic when it goes wrong.

I'm not looking from sympathy from anyone. I'm looking for a way to get in contact with them for my animal or a refund. I had never heard anything bad about them before and they had many animals for sale and were selling for pretty good deals. If they were scammers I would have figured I would have heard something about it.

Check em out under Morph King reptiles...I would not send em a dime.

I get your point and everybody that feels the same is entitled to their feelings. Not everyone still carries a grudge for the breeder that "crashed the BP market" though. The economy did a much better job of it than any breeder. The Het Highway thing is another matter. If hope you get this worked out with animals or money.

Not Only crash but bad mouth others morphs saying they produced it first or what one breeder says it is its not cause they said so.

They leave a bad taste in the industry. Just research the washout gene and youll have enough or the HGWG gene and be enough.

Know all about that stuff. Like I said I'm not going to tell others how to feel. I wish i had a dime for every time I heard a breeder run down another's. projects. I've, also, heard lots of I did it first and his "new" gene is really just a version of mine. David was a victim of it with his Ember. The difference is Joe did it very publicly, made a point of doing it, and wouldn't let it go. Understand the feelings about it. Does it really bother me, eh?

With all the commas and nonsensical points, I had a hard time understanding what you are saying, but if you are somehow comparing me with Joe in any fashion, I take great offense to that.

Dave

Warning: Mr Oakley,
If you cannot manage to compose a relevant post, don't fake it with a bump. That nonsense hasn't even been allowed in the classifieds for a few years, so it shouldn't have taken much thought to realize it wasn't going to fly here

By now I would think Joe or Clark would know that you were trying to reach them. New contact info. will do no good if they refuse to respond. I hope they are both on vacation and it works out for you.
Good luck!

I get what you're saying but if a business owner is on vacation and receives a message via phone, email, or text they had better stop being lazy and shoot a quick reply back to quell the suspicions of a paying customer. It would take them only a minute to change their voicemail (assuming their phone wasn't disconnected) to inform anyone calling they are on sabbatical.

I don't deal in ball pythons so I don't know, nor do I care about their past. This current business transaction has me upset for the OP.

Exactly.
I believe they do not want to respond, for what reason, I could only speculate.

Simply unacceptable. It truly amazes me how people can keep their business afloat when they treat their customer base with such disregard.

I used to have a vendor I used on a regular basis in my current career who would, without notice, close his business to go fishing. The unreliability got old real quick. I stopped using him as a subcontractor and several other shops like me followed suit. Needless to say, he no longer has a business. I guess he can go fishing anytime he likes without repercussion now.
