The boas were consigned at retail. Something I normally wouldn't do, but he was in a bind and I thought I could help him. The price was $800 ea and if anyone recalls them listed some were listed below this price. I was willing to eat $150 per snake on the less attractive animals and hope to make up the $150 on the more attractive ones. This was not a money making venture for me, I took these on to help him out. When they were not selling and we agreed to try and trade them out to help him cash out I believe I took on responsibility as a buyer. The animals have had to be traded around a few times at this point as quite honestly sales are slow. Beyond slow.

Lessons learned etc... I owe him, I'll pay him, I handled the situation incorrectly by ever trying to help move them by trading around and what I thought was a creative or strategic approach turned out to be nothing positive for the situation. Had that not occurred I would have just driven by and dropped off what hadn't sold and been done with this... instead we have animals he doesn't want, and aren't selling for me and I'm on the hook for the tab. C'est la vie.

Although I have not met Jordan in person, I have had several transactions with him. I have found Jordan to be honest, professional and trustworthy and just a great person to do business with.

Here is what I understand from what I have read. Jordan took snakes to sell on consignment. The snakes are not selling in this economy (it has been slow... we all know this). Jordan is using his housing, electricity, changing water, cleaning enclosures and providing the feeders all this time. However, If they are not selling and the owner of the snakes is not happy, he should have just asked to have them returned. I think I read that Jordan offered the snakes back and they were refused. I don't think Tibor would have gotten the same exposure that Jordan was able to get for his snakes. In my opinion, If they were so easy to sell, then the owner would have just sold them himself.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me...maybe I can talk Jordan into taking care of my reptiles, housing & feeding them all ( it is ok if it takes a while to sell, because he will be paying for all the housing, electricity, care and feeding) and when they sell... just shoot over some money!

Why do the USARK auctions keep coming up? I won two of the auctions (time before last) and not a single cent was sent to Jordan, or through Jordan. Since all money is sent to USARK directly, except for shipping fees to the donor, what do the auctions have to do with this consignment situation?

I'm not sure how going above and beyond to organize events raising over $100k for USARK makes me a bad guy? I have donated hundreds of hours of time to make these events happen. You're welcome Keith! Not only are your insinuations wrong, they've been proven wrong. Your accusations are insulting at best and idiotic at worst.

Perhaps going out and helping our hobby would be a better use of your time. Or at least lay off of the booze while you're near a computer.

I have been willing to absorb the blame, all of it. Even when it is debatable on whether or not it is all mine to carry. That is fine, my only concern is in moving forward and past this.

But, I will not permit you to post outright libelous posts. I am not sure what in the world you're talking about with most of what you just posted.

What I was posted was not untrue, and there is no back peddling. That is IN FACT exactly what happened.

I have purchased exactly 4 groups of boas from you, period, ever.

Your reasoning for wanting more for the boas was because you told me you owed a lady for painting her house incorrectly. This was the reason I could only
reach you via email at the time as you said you were not answering your phone at the time as she kept calling you.

The boas were far from the best you've produced. The quality was average at best on all but 1, and 1 also had a kinked tail.

I have also never left the hobby! I don't know where you got that from. I did greatly reduce the number of reptiles in my collection when I had my bird store and primarily worked with birds but I had a reasonable collection of Odatria and Green Tree Pythons in my office at the shop. Just because I wasn't vocal on forums doesn't mean I went anywhere.

Your story about 2 left to sell, 1 left to sell is a complete and utter fabrication. I drove to your house and paid you when animals sold as I have in all 3 preceding deals we have done.

The "het" story you are telling is some weird amalgamation of inserted untruths and partial facts. Here is what happened. A friend wanted out and brought me a lot of his collection. Another friend wanted some, and bought many of them. Some time later they did not prove out. I made it right, as the original person had since left the hobby and was unreachable. You were asking why I couldn't pay for them as I had just listed a lot of high end ball pythons and marked them sold so I must have the money. I explained that they went to that friend to fix the previous situation and that I had received no money for them. There was no banana in the equation ever, anywhere. He does not live in las vegas, and I honestly really don't understand what this has to do with the price of tea in China.

As has been reiterated over and over again, I have not once avoided you. When you THOUGHT I did because my phone number had changed and you called a friend and flew off the handle at him telling him you were going to show up at my house take my collection and beat me up was the first time I had any idea there was a problem between us. Sorry if I wasn't super eager to drive to your house after having a personal threat thrown around for what I saw as an insane response to someone changing their phone number (which I had posted was happening everywhere I could).

there is no doupt.your are better @ selling animals since I do not text or use a cell phone.I did sign up on face book in early summer on a desk top for a couple of months and did not care for all that...the end came when I saw you trying to sell banana balls for 6k and the next week they were down to 3500 or something like that..and you were getting beat up on face book..and after that I signed out and dropped out of that mess.

I was kind enough to WARN you to be careful on python trades from people you didn't know as there was a virus going around affecting collections. I felt it only fair to warn people to exercise extreme caution and longer than normal quarantine periods with this issue floating around. Yep again... terrible person.

You left facebook (and called me about it) because YOU were getting beat up by people over your chimera boa (which you call a pied). I was defending you, and we talked throughout it.

Bananas from 6k to 3500 in a week? Never happened.

Tibor, you are so far out of line it isn't even funny. Reduce me down to a broker/flipper for supplementing my income with SOME brokering, when anyone who knows me knows that I am primarily a breeder.

After sorting through this all I can say is.

1. Jordan still has the animals in question....if this guy was really as "upset" as he claims to be, give Jordan the money back, get your animals back and be done with it...it was offered.
This is not rocket science, if you are dissatisfied with the way things are going everyone returns what has been exchanged and it's an even out.

2. Any claims of Jordan skimming on USARK Auctions, well that's just lunacy since he never had the money in hand and it all went directly to the USARK Reptile defense fund. Whoever came up with the skimming theory is just an outright retard.

Hope you guys get it squared away, truth of it is it's better to be taken care of between you two, trying to settle it on a forum/message board not only never solves the problem, it usually makes it worse, there's just too much "noise" involved.

I've never done business with or talked to Jordan but I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him. I've seen him offer help on several situations on this forum that had absolutely nothing to do with him. I'd avoid Tibor like the plague though. Jordan said he'd fix this but Tibor just can't shut up.

Actually the publicity and peer pressure have solved a number of problems between buyer and seller on this particular board.
Here in this particular instance, Jordan has owned up and taken responsibility, common sense would seem to say that the OP should give Jordan a little time to do what he has agreed he needs to do.

The continued and increasing attacks and innuendoes make me think that this disagreement may go deeper than this described transaction, because Jordan has very reasonably and responsibly said he will take care of this.

Jordan is offered some animals that he will sell on consignment. Jordan says yep. A couple of the snakes sell, and Jordan promptly pays the guy. That's the way consignment works. So, the last snakes just sit and sit, so Jordan suggest he trade them for something else for the guy. The guy agrees. So Jordan trades and gets some different stuff. But because sales are slow all over, Jordan does not have the cash to give to the guy. But he does have the animals he traded. Now the guy's bitching and wants his money. Am I right on this? If so, the OP needs to select something from Jordan's inventory that is the equal to what Jordan agreed to give him for the snakes, and this should be done. Jordan won't gain a dime, but at least this guy will get off his back. Jordan my friend, as I said, no good deed goes unpunished. To the OP, get what you are owed and sell the stuff yourself. Geez. Jordan is one of the best of us, and I have his back. We all should.

As others have said, I really don't understand what the RAACA/USARK auctions have to do with any of this. The animals are donated (by a variety of sellers, they are not Jordan's), and the money goes straight to USARK. Jordan is just doing administrative stuff, as far as I can tell.

Shelly, you are correct to a point. What actually happened and happens is Jordan came up with this stunning idea, and because of Jordan over $100,000 has been raised for our support of USARK. And all this in the span of just a few months. What people also need to understand is that in the time that Jordan arranges, runs, and does the mop up of these auctions, his life is put on hold. He is trapped running these auctions with the dedicated help of a handful of others. His life suffers, his business suffers. Everything he does during that week is dedicated to nothing but the auction. I challenge anyone to have such dedication and care for our hobby. This man deserves our praise and respect. The idea that ANYONE would even pretend to assume something underhanded or fishy about what Jordan has been doing for us is way beyond wrong. An unwarrented statement of this sort pisses me off to no end. And it should have the same effect on the rest of us too. Like USARK or not, Jordan is taking action and is doing something. Are you? Yes, without all the donors and the purchasers, there'd be no auction. I salute all of you. But let me tell you, if you badger Jordan to the point where he feels this is not worth HIS effort, he'll stop. I know I would. Then what? Who of us will take over? Yeah, right. No one has shown me that they have the skill, the dedication or the savvy to do this, including me. We should be kissing this mans feet, not stepping on them.

And a far as the subject of this thread, I find it unwarranted and wrong. Jordan has bent over backwards to help the OP, and has gotten nothing but a slap in the face for his efforts. Jordan even takes the blame himself, when in reality he has no fault in this at all except for trying to help someone else.
