    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Trading mmj

Why on earth would you go to a reptiles site to "offer" marijuana? And then get riled when ruled against?

Sure, there are members here who post an occasional firearm for trade. However, arms are a pivotal part of our Ammendment rights. And, were those members being idiots, you can bet WebSlave would kindly let them know and put a stop to it.

Smoking marijuana is not a right, and is still considered (BY MANY, physicians included!) to be a hazardous drug. That we protect our children from. And that should be/stay illegal.

Rich, I'm digging around to find the news story. It happened after one of the school shootings. The guy wore a hidden camera, bought a rifle with cash, even asked the clerk if he needed to show ID. The clerk said something like "Oh yeah. You do.", like it slipped his mind. I have no idea if there were repercussions afterward; I would hope so. I'll try to find it. And, yes, it was probably an anti-gun story.

The reptile industry is already under attack from multiple quarters and you can't for the life of you see how a close association with reptile keepers and drug users, even inferentially could be damaging to a lot of people. But no, you want what you want and to hell with everyone else. You would be perfectly willing to sacrifice people being able to acquire and keep reptiles of their choice just so you can have your way with your recreational drugs of choice and be able to freely offer and distribute them in any manner you can.

No one can 'make' someone else go off on the kind of rage filled rant that you have shown in this thread. That is the hallmark of those who engage in emotional or physical abuse, that someone else 'made' them behave in a particular way.
If it is true that you are having custody problems, until you learn to control and take responsibility for your own behavior, it might be best for someone else to have custody.

Even if it was legal in all states I would hate to see this site become a pot for animals trade fest. Alcohol is legal but would it make sense to trade it on this site? :censored: NO!
I support "Internet Alpha" Webslave 100% in his judgment on any substances on this site.

Pot users refuse to believe that it is addictive but when you start to trade your animals to get your drug of choice you are engaging in classic addictive behavior. The bottom line is that MJ is just as addictive as other things, mainly on a psychological level. Also MJ and alcohol are gateway drugs that will likely lead to other substance abuse.
Also, stoned driving is another dangerous side effect that will be the result of legalization; that has been my main concern with the legalization issue.

I used to indulge. It took me years to break those vices and I have never looked back.
This was over a decade ago but Just to be clear, I have never sold or traded an animal to pay for pot; I have never neglected MY animals but many other potheads I knew were stoned, lazy and let the care of their animals slip on a regular basis, or just forgot.
