In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Delta Dash-horrible service

They may have booked it correctly, but it did not go as a Live Animal...the LABEL on the box from DELTA should say AVI, then it will be treated as an animal, not just a regular dash shipment. Whoever typed it up at Delta input it wrong as Dash, since AVI is priority except over body parts and bodies. Dash is fast but can be "late". I am just saying for FUTURE shipments, make sure your shipper tells Delta people to input it as AVI 0187 , or the code for venomous(I think it is different then 0187). It will help alot!

I don't understand why everyone is saying Underground did anything wrong here; they did not. The label says "AVI" and the box was clearly labeled "venomous". The description on the shipping label says "live venomous reptiles. "

I have attached pictures- I guess I misspoke when I labeled this Delta Dash...I thought live animal shipments were under Dash. Anyway, the problem here is that Delta lost a clearly labeled live animal shipment and then let it on their flight with no records. Underground Reptiles did their part and shipped my snakes correctly and promptly. They were an absolute pleasure to work with and I'd be happy to give them more business. DELTA is the problem here!

Dash vs AVI

I am a little confused. Today I shipped 2 Philippine Sailfin dragons to SC. I wanted the earliest time and the shortest flight possible. They quoted me as Dash $105.00 and AVI as about $84.00. The problem was with AVI is that there was less than 2 hours before the connecting flight in Atlanta. The dash shipment was only 1 hour. They told me Dash was for animals and put stickers all over the shipment for animals. Last month, same situation. I shipped a pair of adult Philippine sailfin dragons. They would not let me ship AVI unless I accepted a later connecting flight in Atlanta. I wanted the shortest possible flight, so used Dash. They are telling me that Dash is for animals. Has this changed. I have used AVI when there was at least a 2 hour window for the connecting flight. Thanks,
Linda

Dash vs AVI

I should clarify. They said for AVI there must be at least 2 hours before the connecting flight. For Dash, they said only needed 1 hour before the connecting flight. The connecting flight was less than 2 hours, so needed to use Dash if I wanted that particular connecting flight which got my animals to the destination the quickest. They left LAX.
Thanks,
Linda

Thanks for the pictures.. I Took the OP word that it was labeled right, shipped with the correct codes.. the BOI thread was about DELTAS handling.. not the vendor..
I may have been to trusting to take the OP word.. but as this was not a disagreement about the vendors shipping but how the handler/shipper handled it..

He stated it was at the very least a ORANGE BOX labeled dangerous venomous.. again mishandling or acceptance of such a package by delta, delta dash or Delta AVI is NOT acceptable..
IF AR nuts can prove that the people who accept animals for shipping cannot be trusted to handle "nasty dangerous wild animals that should not be kept as pets" that are labeled.. take a animal labeled and accept it into the wrong shipping, or even correct miss handle it.. the hobby is SCREWED!..
Don't think it will happen.. sorry already has, someone who maintains dogs in their home does not have separate "isolated" facility's for housing cannot meet USDA regulations.. but if you ship one.. you need a USDA license.. They Close the option to shipping for many..

Syr all the way!! When possible. I got 4 adult boas shipped to me from dd. the box was soaked and falling apart. I couldn't believe it. They offered no excuse or apologies.

Never again. I was fall too,and cold.

I use SYR, too, but I'm pretty sure Delta is the only way you can ship venomous. I could be wrong, but I know you can't ship them with SYR.

Delta is the only legal way to ship venomous. They must fly airport-to-airport in a clearly labeled, locked box. And as far as I know, Delta is the only airline that currently allows venomous reptiles to be shipped with them.

Now that Northwest Airlines is part of Delta, yes, they are the only option.
