In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Repti-Racks- Bad customer service

I'm glad to hear the trek to getting your final enclosure is over. When I went to pick mine up there was a lot of cut, not put together material there. So, I assume since it's such a small outfit they're still just backed up on volume of work they have. Hopefully they can get on top of it soon. They're nice people it seems, and try their hardest to make everyone happy. Just too much work to handle.

He might want to hire someone to help with the administrative stuff. Bad customer service will eventually make him not quite as busy.

Updates. For those who are new, I ordered about $1300 worth of cages from Cold Blooded enclosures. After getting the run around over and over, and the seller disconnecting his phone number in the middle of all this, several unanswered emails and facebook messages, and thinking I got scammed, we finally got our cages back at the end of august, he said they were ready on August 24th, at the time I told him we had to wait till the 1st, which was a pay day, so we could drive up to dallas area and pick them up. Upon getting there he states they are still curring, and you can smell the chemicals (but they were ready a week before?) they looked great and we thought they were worth the wait. We waited a few days before housing the snakes do to the strong chemical small. After a few days the sliding doors on the TOP cage began to bow, it is an 18in tall cage. it did not affect the function, so we were like whatever.... after awhile it began harder to open and close the doors, which was stressful as this is a 'hot' cage. Well in January the seams on the front of this same cage can undone, suddenly. Fortunately the snake was not in the cage since we were cleaning. This was the front of the cage, and caused the doors to sit loose in the track, pretty much falling out with no way to secure them. I contacted the seller and told him of the situation and asked what he could do for us, or what we could do to repair it

His reply "sorry dont get on here much. You can use liquid nails clear comes in small tube with nozzel from homedepot or lowes and it will bond it strong after appling use something to support bottom of cage till it bonds."

Sure I was a little frustrated that he did not offer to fix it or replace it, but at least he gave us an idea of what to do. By the way, we ended up using Gorilla Glue epoxy and now it is the end of April and it still seems to be holding well.

Well tonight our older female cobra made a stinky mess that needed to be dealt with asap, so we bucket her up, sweep all the bedding out, and while sweeping we notice, 'hey that looks like it is coming loose in back" just as the small dust broom sweeps over it (not even hard mind you) we hear a loud 'snap' and realize the back seam on the cage has completely come undone. So here I am at 2am looking for more epoxy to repair the cage.

I guess I will have to buy new cages for the venomous because I do not trust these cages anymore. I don't even feel safe keeping my constrictors in them do to the poor quality

photos 1-3 are the first cage, showing the break, bowing, and how the doors would not line up after the seam in the front broke.
photo 4 is the back of the 2nd cage showing the back seam broken.

I would think with hots that you would use something not glued together. Just for safety reasons. As mentioned. The few dollars difference makes it worth the extra comfort knowing the glue won't fall off or separate.

Good luck and stay safe.

Steve can do PVC cages similar to Animal Plastics. We have been using them for about 5 yrs with minimal issue. They are screwed together and have caulk around the seems to help prevent leakage, with sliding glass doors and radiant heat panels. The only problem that we have is when removing the doors from the tracks it can be kind of difficult, but no issues other than that. Dimensions are 47" x 24" x 15". I personally prefer a cage to be made of PVC rather than ABS. More secure in my opinion. I do like Steve's ABS hatchling racks though. Swear by them. Its all I use for my hatchlings.

Yep what' happening with that cag id totally unacceptable, especially for hots. I'd go with Animal Plastics. I wouldn't get their fluorescent light option though. It's a hole cut in the ceiling for the cord that's kind of large and the light installed over it. My FWC knocked the light off and escaped. Wouldn't want that with a cobra. (Understatement of the year!)

They are not " super glued" We used an epoxy. It however is a temporary solution, that worked better than liquid nails.

when i got my cages from them the plexi was super scratched up and then he tried to claim i would do it on purpose to complain about the order, not only that he list it as a bearded dragon cage but the material is not for a bearded dragon my dragon was slipping a lot on the cage due to the material.just stuck with critter condo after that whole issue with them, sucks to see more people having issues but glad to see it as i was turned out to be a liar .

Steve who? Is this someone I should check out? Cuz this cold blooded enclosures guy is named Steve

Not that I've noticed, but he does have some long lead times. We typically order 2-3 months ahead of time to insure what we have is ready when we need it to be. He's a one man show, so naturally we try and cut him some slack. His custom work is definitely good.

he lies on top of that when i had dealt with him i called and asked for a lead time cause i needed my cage in a x time which ended up going from 3 weeks to months!

just take business else where.

I was told to check the turn around time on the site, which said about 3 months. It took almost 8 months

yea the site clearly says lead times but i had call ahead of time to see if id be lucky to get mines sooner which he said YEAH we don't have many orders in etc.obviously a lie

This has been a very helpful thread for helping me with understanding as to which company I will not be ordering from.
Does anyone know if the person that started this post ever receive her cages?

I received my last cages not too long ago too. It took several months to receive them, and everytime I left a message he would tell me the order was almost done.

I ordered 7 cages, all but two came broken with the seams becoming undone like described by the OP...

From now on I will be only buying from other well-known makers such as AP, Constrictors NW, and PVCcages.
