• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Folks business with this man should be avoided:

Gregory Hayes

PayPal indicates he is doing chargebacks to the credit card company, while Discover reports the card as stolen. I have turned him over to our collection agency.

Do not ship to him unless you feel giving snakes away is acceptable.

Follow-up

My collection agency recently sent me a copy of this man's Notice of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy filing to be held in court on July 7 in Merrillville, Indiana.

Also a number of folks have written to me indicating this same man is posting on forums under the name "Gregory Allen" and/or "Allen Hayes". I cannot vouch for the validity of that information, and am simply sharing what I was told. But the full name on this bankruptcy paperwork is "Gregory Allen Hayes". LOL

I'm not sure why everybody thinks this is a PayPal thing, it happens with all credit card processors.

USPS money orders, or direct bank depos for me. If not, bye bye! Times have changed!

Yep same here! Seeing that pp don't cover animals it seems like several ppl have been burned but I have always been a little sketch when putting my info on the internet so all I use ( or accept) for that matter is postal money orders. I don't even have a Facebook altho I tried to set one up but I don't think it worked... But I'm sorry that happened to you and I hope you can recover some of your loss.

for your info, be carefull with postal money orders, these can be faked and it will take several weeks before they are found to be fraudulant.
by that time, your good are shipped, and then your bank account seized for the total.
times have change indeed and the last time i was offered a money order as payment, i told them no problem but, it would have to be a few weeks before it is cleared as not being a fake before i ship... they never replied back !!!!

While this is true if you deposit it to your bank account, if you take it to the post office to cash it the USPS can verify immediately whether or not it's valid. You can also use the information at https://www.usps.com/shop/accepting-money-orders.htm before taking it to your bank if going to the post office isn't convenient.

this is correct, but i can't speak for the U.S side.
I know that here in Canada the post office will pay you and require personal information in case something goes wrong.
at the bank, if you do a ATM deposit that's asking for trouble but last time, i went to the teller and she said the same thing, you get your money but it can take a few weeks before they themselves can have it come back if they aren't legit and they suggested waiting before shipping since they have seen some really good fake ones.
Even if the bank thinks it's good , if it turns out to be fake, it's my account that will be charged for the missing funds :( plus penalty fees.. 45$ worth and i'm out my items.

they can fake everything now!! money orders, credit cards, debit cards, cash you name it and it can be faked.. they steal blank money orders just like they steal blank pass ports..

I agree that money orders and direct bank transfers are safer than paypal just have to be carefull dealing with anything these days.

Guys here is a way to take pay pal and they can't charge it back. Have buyer send money friends and family transfer. Plus you will not get charged a fee. The money sender gets the fee. This will not allow for money to be taken back. It will also protect you from reporting card stolen.

And if PP finds out you are completing transactions that way during a dispute and it can be proven you asked to be paid in that manner to avoid fees and to avoid buyer protection, your account will be revoked.

I need to ad if your the buyer make sure your not getting scammed the money can never be returned. I now for sure I got scammed and called my credit card company they said sorry about your luck. Lucky me it was for a small amount.
