In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Good Guy Skip Seavey

I'm not saying all flippers/resellers just ones that didn't care about receiving animals with deformities. Which apparently this is what this good guy thread has now turned into.

He brought it to the seller's attention, which means he did, to whatever extent, take notice and care. He said he did not sell it and instead gave it to someone as a pet (to fill a void left by a theft).

With that in mind, what kind of value did you think your question was adding or what relevance did you think it lent to the context of this thread and the buyer's experience? What enhancement of understanding the situation? The buyer resells as an occasional practice in addition to breeding and that appears to have little or nothing to do with with this.

There again. Did I ever say "I don't care that she only had one eye! I will give her an eye patch and sell her as a pirate morph!" No.

I said I was satisfied with the solution Skip offered. Had the other snakes been in bad condition, I would have sent them all back to him and demanded a refund. They weren't. They were in great condition. If I didn't care, why would I have contacted him? Why would we have come to a nice simple and easy solution?

I actually read this post while falling asleep and must of missed some of the content. For that I do apologize for. The question I asked regarding op if he was a flipper was based off the infortnation I thought I obtained but apparently not. Curse those tired readings. I do apologize though op. You stand correct that question had no standing. ( I need to read these awake from now on lol.)

I view this as big of you.

Without any personal investment, I thank you for that.

Well thank you. Definitely not trying to make any enemies. However I am wrong , and when I am wrong I stand up and own up to my mistakes. I should of read threw this post more carefully instead of picking it apart while fighting to stay awake. I thought I had correct information when it reality I am dreaming. I am sorry to everyone for my error.

Samantha, I can't say it better than Nick just did. As I had said in this thread earlier today(I think... maybe in the past few days) I am an honest person and I believe in personal responsibility. That is what I view this as. Thank you.

As for Nick, I agree with that completely.

:iagree:

This seems to be a common theme on what I would consider shady deals. If the customer wants satisfaction, they then have make yet another order with the already shady seller to get compensation. This is simply hooking the customer into a wait and see game. Sellers know that a good percentage of customers won't push the matter, give up or ever do repeat business with them to even claim their compensation.

If you are smart, you will get a refund.
I do not feel like this is only the case with shady deals, the last person I sold to got very upset and concerned that I was scamming her, she did not tell me this until an hour before I emailed tracking info and put the package on the truck though (we had to wait about 2 weeks post actual purchase due to weather). It was her first purchase and I felt bad that I had done that to her, so to make up for it I am sending her a CB cave gecko hatchling for practically free...once eggs hatch and little ones are well started of course. I like to think that's not too shady considering the animals in the original purchase made it ok.
Wow ! How do you sell a snake with one eye ? Really ?!? That is terrible ! Op please post a pic of the spider so we can see the one eye. Also any proof the animal did in fact come from skip ? Invoice or anything that says you purchased a spider Bp. Not that I don't believe you. I have read the BOI. I have seen the terrible things he has done, but to be fair on both parties would like to see the proof. I'm really sorry about that. If that were me I'm sorry I'm not selling any animal with a deformity. I will find it a good home to someone for free. This animal represents me and my business. I'll be darned I send one out that has genetic issues and think my customers wouldn't have a problem. Wow ! sorry BOI... I just had to say that again.
Not all deformities are genetic, the majority are due to chance occurrences and incubator malfunctions. Spider wobble is genetic. Should we stop selling/producing spiders or jaguar carpets? I hope not...I love mine.

On the actual topic, considering this was a whole sale purchase at wholesale price, crediting the account of the buyer for the deformed animal sounds legitimate. I have worked with many importers/wholesalers that basically say, "I guarantee it's moving", and that's it. It is hard to miss a one eyed snake even in a large 100+ snake order, but still possible I suppose...after I got my credit worth I might go to another wholesaler though, or just increase my own breeding stock.

Thank you guys and I take full responsibility for my carelessness in reading this thread. My grandparents raised me to be honest ,open and to take personal responsibility for my actions. I'm not perfect I make mistakes, but I try my very best to right my wrongs. I do appreciate both of you accepting my apology. It takes an even bigger person to forgive :)
