    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Had done business with Richard in the past without difficulty. Would have even classified him as a friend. I have seen great posts on here about him. I am not sure why he decided to rip me off.
I am not the type to go on here and try to smear anyone but I have not recourse after asking for payment many times.
I sent Richard a group of subadult BCC with the following verbal arrangement :

1. I ship the animals to him at my expense
2. He would care for, market and sell the animals
3. We would split the profits in half (less his his shipping expense), I even let him set the prices and haggle with no micromanagement from me.
seems like a pretty fair deal, right? WRONG! He still owes me between $750-$1000
He never paid me and always had a lame excuse as to why he didn't. His dishonesty bothers me greatly!
Just thought everybody should know.

You could show proof you paid him. A "certain animal? You are both being very vague. Could you please elaborate?
 
This deal was over two years ago, for the record.

And it's not a red flag. Unless the guy posts absolute proof of anything, there is no reason for Richard to respond to anything more than he already has.

Post proof please. You've left out any details that would make you're case believable.
 
The burden of proof lies with the accuser, not the accused.

If there was something for Richard to rebuff besides he said/she said then sure, he should post something.

That is not the case at the moment.
 
So somebody can come to the BOI Say whatever they like and LEAVE without proof???? POST THE PROOF OR SHUT YER TRAP.

Sorry, But thats NOT what this forum is about. If you have something to say you BACK IT UP. So. Get to it. I bet you cant.
 
I've noticed that with several of the "bad guy" BOI threads lately. Someone starts with allegations and posts no proof, then vanishes without anymore follow up.
 
Is there/are there previous thread(s) here relative to this trade?

I realize it has been stated this is an old (2 years?) issue and the OP stated the agreement was only verbal, however, both parties have neglected to provide proof of their statements, the agreement, the monies exchanged.

Both parties have posted their sides and promptly retreated. One party even stating, "This will be my last post i (sic) will not go into this crazy BOI stuff."

I personally would like to see some written proof from one party or the other relative to this trade/agreement before jumping on a particular party's bandwagon.

Post up some text, emails, whatever you have, both of you, please.

Anyone who has been here long enough knows there have been countless breeders/vendors with stellar reps go down in flames.

I spoke to Richard about this earlier because I didn't think he had been informed of the thread.

It is my understanding all portions of the agreements took place over the phone verbally. Problems did not start until Richard chose to lower prices on some of the animals just to move them out which the OP even states he allowed Richard to do in his post.

Unless the guy posts irrefutable proof he is out money, I still do not feel Richard has any obligation to post anything. I have a feeling we'll never hear from the OP again or see him post anything to his credibility.

Yes, the OP stated in his first post that all arrangements / agreements were verbal. Agreed. They both erred in not drawing up a written contract. One would think they both would have better sense, regardless of previous transactions.

However, and sincerely with the utmost respect to you, Diem, simply speaking to ONE party and getting only ONE side, with no other proof to back the statements made by that party is just a presumption of innocence.

Regardless of any conversations had with one party or the other, it is still just he-said, he-said. There is NO proof that what either party says is gospel, no matter who talks to who. Neither party has provided anything to back their statements.

Just as you doubt we will hear from the OP, I doubt we will also hear from Richard again, as well. Wasted bandwidth (of which, I too, am guilty, lol)

I understand, Laura. The only thing I am trying to convey is I don't feel the burden of proof ever falls to the accused unless the accuser provides something to make the accused questionable.

I only have Richard's side, absolutely, but I have do not know the other person to get their side and they are not really posting it here as of yet so. Richard has done many deals like this for people (taking their animals and selling them in exchange for split sales) over the years and this is the only complaint I have seen about it so yes, admittedly, I am skeptical.

Does that make what they are claiming impossible? Absolutely not.

But, I guess I kind of relate it to Salem and someone being accused of a witch being condemned a witch based on the accusation alone.

I would be saying the same for any such posting on the BOI, not just one for someone I have had a good transaction with. I've gone after people who are my friends on this board when it was shown they were in the wrong.

I would, personally, post any proof I had to refute the accuser but I just do not feel that is an obligation an accused person has when there is no proof by said accuser.
