In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi all,

I apologize for the mundane question in advance! I know there's not much more uninteresting question than "what morph is my ball python" other than "is my boa BCI or BCC".

I received this ball python in a trade.

It was represented as a Mojave. I have no reason to think it's not, but I wanted to confirm with you guys. I don't know much about morphs.

Thanks,
Alex

Alexander, can you perhaps get some different pictures on the last snake you are trying to ID, the saturation levels are throwing me off. At first glance I wouldn't have guessed Enchi.

I can kinda get enchi from those pics but it is a little bit difficult. Mostly the eye color is what is making me lean toward, "yes". But still difficult to determine 100%

As requested, better photos. Eye included (but photos are not great, sorry).
Picked him up as an enchi.

Thanks for the help!

I can see Enchi, now, as well.
Banded type pattern, that "certain" yellowed lower sides, reduced belly pattern, the blush spots on skull, etc. says Enchi to me. Even though the eye color, and "golden type" body color (esp. for age), is a tad darker than I would expect.

For Enchis, the less spots, the better (to me). No spots would be best.:)

As it gets older, the black pattern should lighten up.
You, probably, know that.;)
I just don't know how much it will lighten up, on a darker Enchi, though.

It would be nice if all snakes popped out with a written certificate of what they really were:D Some a A+ examples and some are D-, so it gets hard, but for me here is some of what I look for. One of these by themselves is not enough, but the group together usually points me in a fairly good direction. Knowing the breeding too!

Picture 1: If I only saw Picture 1, I would have said "not" Enchi. I usually expect to see a lot less dark circles.

Picture 2: The light band that goes through the face usually passes through the eye color, meaning the top of the eye is light and bottom is dark, half and half. Usually the area under the light band is pretty dark, high contrast.

Picture 2: Mustache, in the yellow circles you see black patterns and above the front of the lip

Picture: My example

Picture 4: This shows what I would expect in an Enchi, lots of melting of pattern and banding too. Picture 4 looks like an Enchi, Picture 1 does not.

Picture 4: In the light part of the snake I usually expect to see ORANGE, BRONZE, GREEN vs. WHITE, BROWN, BLACK or GRAY.

Overall, I would say you have a B- or C+ Enchi. 100% my opinion = haters stay away:D
