In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Robert, are you saying Scott Fitzwater is the scammer? I do find it interesting that he's FB friends with 2 other individuals mentioned in an entirely different thread regarding a sand boa that was purchased and DOA.
That said, without photographic proof that these are the same snakes,

Ok everyone, I'll give you all the break down. I didn't realize how many posts where made on this thread since last time I checked. I have been so busy with school, work, and other things I haven't really had the chance to clear things up. Ok so her we go... For starts I want everyone to know SCOTT FITZWATER IS NOT THE SCAMMER!!! HE WAS IN NO FAULT HE IS THE REASON I ACTUALLY GOT A REFUND FROM "Mike Cogar". SCOTT IS A GOOD GUY, AND THERE IS NO REASON HE SHOULD BE TALKED DOWN.

On Nov. 18 (Tuesday) "Kate Ellis" sent me a refund for $550 through Western Union. I'll post screen shots here in a minute.

"Anthony Pappas" is "Mike Cogars" cousin. Mike got the bloods from me then gave them to his cousin Anthony. Anthony traded the bloods to Scott Fitzwater and when Scott asked where they where from Anthony told Scott he bought them from a guy in California (A lie). Scott was completely unaware that that the snakes where stolen from me. I contacted Scott through facebook and explained the situation to him. He then texted Anthony and Anthony texted Mike. Mike then told me was going to send the refund of $550 through Western Union which he did the next day. Scott is the one who helped me get my refund as stated before. Scott Fitzwater is a good guy everyone needs to know that. Let me know if you all would like to know anymore info. That's about all I can think of to post.

Kate Ellis is the one who sent me a refund. Those are the exact pics I was sent, half the signature is cut off so I have no way to see who signed it.

Aside from Scott telling you so, were you provided anything tangible that would absolutely back up what Scott said? Did he forward you any of the conversations? Did he elaborate on how the trade went down? Was it done in person? Did he say that he'd had any previous business relationship with whoever supposedly traded him your bloods?
I gotta say, that version of events does seem fairly unlikely. The fact that he chose to lie about just how long it's been since he's been on Fauna is also somewhat odd. Without some way of finding out where Western Union operator number 302 is actually located, I think that the money could have possibly been sent from anywhere - even Elizabethtown, Pa. I don't think that cashiers check sender's ID or address before transferring money. Even if it did come from NJ, it's not like that's much of a drive from this area.
It just seems very convenient that things would suddenly take a turn in your favor as soon as Scott is officially involved in the situation. It's very fortuitous that he single-handedly managed to accomplish what this whole forum couldn't. I guess it's still up in the air, whether or not Scott was directly involved in the initial scam; but I can't help getting the feeling that he's pretty damn close to the situation, if he managed to make things happen so quickly.

It wouldn't be the first time someone local to a problem seller, trader was able to apply the right type of pressure to get things going.
It has happened here many times.
What I understand took place was after Scott received the animals, he advertised them for sale. Good eyes noticed that the animals were the ones stolen from Sam. Scott finding out that he was in possession of the stolen property was able to get the funds sent back to Sam.
What trade took place or if the trade was even finished wasn't posted.
I'll assume all that is correct and Scott should be praised just like others here that went above and beyond to help someone.
If I found out that I purchased animals that were stolen from someone, I would be part of the solution too. I wouldn't want to be selling stolen property.
I know we can be cynical here but unless after digging and finding information that doesn't add up, I would be uncomfortable suggesting Scott did anything wrong.

You're quite possibly right. I just haven't seen it happen nearly as often as you have. At the very least, Scott should maybe be a bit more selective about who he chooses to call his "buddy." Can't help continuing to think that he may know some real names that would be nice to have as part of the public record on here.
