    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes, because a kid came on here and acted like an idiot, you're trying to ruin his supposed future, Lucille. That sounds rational. If the kid doesn't want to pursue it, let's call it a lesson learned. The evidence is here for people to think about dealing with either of the two morons involved here.

I don't know or care if he's telling the truth about the Coast Guard, but this whole thread is a bit out of control. IMO, Jason and Lucille, both of you are overstepping your boundaries big time. Jason not as much, but Lucille, reporting him to the Coast Guard is out of control. If they disqualified everyone because of that level of wrong doing, there would be no one in the armed services.

The kid has made his decision, now let him live with the repercussions.
 
I personally think this thread should be perpetuated to the end. Regardless of Kyle's position, the fact that Connor is a crook, a thief and a liar should be brought to light, and Connor should pay the consequence for his actions. With or with out Kyle's approval. If Kyle wants out keep him out.
 
I think Connor's business strategies have been highlighted in great detail on this thread. The consequences that could be brought on in lost business will be much greater than the doubtful legal consequences he might face. If Kile is unwilling to press charges, it's very doubtful that Connor is going to have significant repercussions other than loss of business.
 
Kile take it from me, you are very mistaken if you dont think the coast guard will not read something about one of thier recruits that is sent to them. I am retired Military so trust me they will. How you act on here has a big impact on your future in the military. One of my club brothers is Coast Gaurd and he also confirms that you are mistaken about them not reading or caring whats posted here. Doesnt matter if your one of the top ten out of 600. that just means they have 590 others to choose from if they decide not to let you in. Not trying to judge you or anything just giving you a heads up. The fact is they can refuse to let you in for how you act and things you do.
 
Seriously, James? Over stepping my bounds? None of this is directed towards Kile other than one comment. It is about Connor McGraw. I wanted to see if Kile had pictures. Connor sent me pictures he downloaded off the Internet. I have tried to help the both of them.

I agree my one comment about him defending our country was a bit harsh. That in no way means I'm going to try and stop him. I have reached out to him couple times in private offering help. Every one is entitled to an opinion. Thank you for sharing yours. I do not believe Kile is the one at fault, Connor is. All I have done is posted information.
 
I was talking more about the posting pictures of people's houses and such, not your interactions with Kile. Those were directed towards Lucille.

I honestly don't think Connor Is smart enough to think that far in the future. He has no business sense what so ever. Did you forget he tried to pull off a picture of the first image he googled of a gecko on its back. He's not a bright kid! I also think he has a self entitlement issue. I personally think the law route is the way to go on this one.
 
I don't think he's going to look that far, but his participation is of no relevance in this situation. If people see him in action here and other places, they'll either want nothing to do with him or get exactly what they deserve if they decide to put themselves at risk. What Connor thinks has nothing to do with anything at this stage.
 
Lucille, you are reverting to the extremely tenacious, smug, sanctimonious behavior that got you in trouble back in the day. I have zero vested interest in this thread, or these participants. It is PLAINLY evident who to deal and not deal with in this thread, and THAT is the point of the BOI... not pursuing every avenue to coerce the behavior you desire from the VICTIM in the thread!! He has made his position extremely, plainly, and unequivocally evident. What are you people not getting? Yes, he's not going to do what you want. It appears no amount of coercion or browbeating will change his mind. It's done.

Do I wish Kile would do the right thing and pursue this more diligently? Yes, but remember we're talking about two children and a few hundred dollars. There is not much that's going to come out of this even if Kile tears into it like a bulldog. That's just reality. Name me the last BOI thread where authorities got involved over a couple hundred bucks.

Enough already. Some of you need to remember you're adults, and that you're dealing with a high school student who's rightly freaked out that a bunch of people who he doesn't feel like obeying without question are now trying to sabotage a career he's been looking forward to for who knows how long... and has been accepted into against great odds, and is rightly excited and proud about it. This situation and his behavior here, while not correct in my view, doesn't even REMOTELY rise to the level that would necessitate the kind of petty vindictiveness required to think that his burgeoning CAREER needs to be stabbed at because of it.

Just... enough. Those of you who wish to pursue this, and there are a couple of you and you have three cheers from me, please just carry on. Those of you who feel that vindictively trying to sabotage Kile's military career over THIS need to go outside for from fresh air.

Lucille. Please tell me your really not trying to destroy this young mans career before it even begins. He is 17 years old and I don't think we are talking endangered turtles. Believe me I get it. This kid is very frusterating to talk to. He won't even help himself. But what do you hope to get out of sending this thread to the coast guard. Does him making a bad choice about requesting illegal turtles justify this. If Kile wants to serve his country who the hell are you to get in the way of that.

So if his parents have the phone maybe sending messages to it with all the details of what connor has done mom will see them and know exactly what he did. And how did he contact you to let you know he lost his phone? Trust me when I tell you scammers will tell you anything they think will get you to back off. I wouldn't trust anything he says.
 
Kile did what he thought was a good deed - he posted a warning about Connor & told his experience with us. I don't think he should be punished because he believes that it isn't worth it to pursue this legally.

Connor is the one we should be focusing on, not a young man who tried to warn the community about a scammer ...

The only thing I see about Kiles's responses, they are slightly angry and juvenile, but who can blame him? When he has members threatening his career?

As for the issue of the turtles, the point is moot as there are no turtles ...
 
With or without Kile's help, this does need to be pushed. This isn't the only time Connor has tried to scam people. I will say this to Kile though. By dropping it, you're not helping anyone. If you don't receive money, your geckos, or the turtles in a week, will you do more? The only way to stop scammers is to keep putting pressure on them and to keep digging up info to expose them. It's definitely a group effort. Do I think Kile should be reported to anyone? No. But he does need to step back and calm down before he posts. He is getting mad when everyone is trying to help him.
