    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, i gave all my info,

I purchased the lizard and payment was made to on Dec 23, Agreed to have it shipped between 28- and Jan2 and if the weather not permitting to Schedule it within next week. After that we go into silence as you see in the sms conversation i posted .

On Dec 30 I ask on update, she tells me oh but we agreed after Jan 1 right ? i remind her no between 28- jan 2 other wise we decide on a date in the next week. She says ok everything should be out by Monday 5th, so when i contact her on the 6th She tells me stop talking to be I replied to you on your paypal claim , dah ? PayPal claim at that time i didn't even claimed anything. I try to contact her on the phone refuses to answer so i send another text message asking if she wants me to file a claim and take it from there, no answer so i open a claim with the exact same information. Saying the Payment was done on dec 23 and i havent yet received my lizard. and the seller is refusing to cooperate .

What else i can do thats all i have ?
She is playing smart and making everyone else to believe including me that she is waiting for the weather , at the same time refusing to communicate refusing any kind of refunds , Claiming she had given me 90 days to have it shipped , which i dont know where she brought that cause as you see in all the conversation there is nothing mentioned . All she has "as the weather permits " phrase . Its she was buying herself time and covering her scam and hiding behind that phrase.

Because you're not the only person having issues, I tend to side with you. However, not much time has passed and it's winter (and the holidays). We were -15 last night here and have had no days warm enough to ship or receive in the past two months. It's safest for the animals to wait until the temps are good. I will agree that communication needs to be good, but it's hard to know how much there has been when you haven't posted all of it.

i am here just warning folks to be careful and not to fall to the same game.

Now just for the sake of argument , if someone is soooo considerate of reptiles and weather , why the Hell to post reptiles for sale at this period? If you know you have a harsh winter in your state and you don't like to ship on cold weather ? And why to insist on a full payment and not just down to hold ?


All those are alarming signs! i noticed ; but neglected them just taking the mater in its simple form specially on holiday season. I took the risk tried to followed up the matter , but every time i tried to communicated with the seller it got clearer and clearer that i took the bate and was a victim of a scam.

I still have animals for sale. I have also paid in full for animals that are waiting to be shipped here. It's not unusual. Next time just research the seller beforehand. If you don't feel comfortable for some reason, move on to someone else.

If was the seller, I would refund all but the deposit to hold if someone didn't want to wait for the weather to warm up. But I also let them know about the wait before they pay so it doesn't happen.

As a response to my suggestion if she likes the matter to be taken to a legal court since she is not cooperating . I get the perfect answer.

When you paid through PayPal, did you send as a gift?

Did you pay with your PayPal balance or credit card?

Do you have a phone number for her?
 
This is only my opinion and nothing else. PayPal is a double edged sword. As a seller, I will not accept payment unless it is via payment from gift or friend. NO CREDIT CARD. This to protect the seller from charge back of the buyer. Once the animal is shipped, the seller will never get it back. As far as the buyer goes, do your homework as previously stated. How long has the seller been selling animals. Can somebody verify previous transactions with no issues. If I get a hinky feeling from a buyer, I pass on the sale. My tortoises typically sell in the 1000-3000$ range. I hate PayPal, there I said it. Scammers around every corner. I believe she is pulling a fast one. File the claim since the animal was never shipped.

That's great except that when you ask your customers to violate Paypal's TOS they have no recourse against you if you don't follow through with your end of the deal.

OP, if you paid by credit card, you should contact your credit card company and request a chargeback. That shouldn't be a problem since the seller hasn't shipped anything and is refusing to communicate.

Packages arrived like they should, warm and alive.
People use the weather excuse far too often.
And the nonsense about poking holes in the box is another silly tale.
Bottom line contact paypal just to cover your bases. Make sure she knows your not going away.

Yep really, maybe i sounded rude , but i wasnt trying to rude or offense or sarcastic.

will that bring back my money??? is a proverb in my Lebanese /Armenian , probably too specific any way, who ever is offended i apologize.

MY Main reason of raising the issue was to raise awareness to Not accept any open end delivery time. And to listen to their heart and mind before making any purchase
