In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

my name is david reed and I have a question about boa master.I recently placed an order for one of his racks the order total was $550 with cod delivery. communicating with boamaster has been dificult at best but he usualy responds withing a few days.
Here is my issue. After he said he shipped my rack he said I'd should be here within a day or two. After a few days I inquired as to the status of my order he said it should be here by now. So I requested a tracking number and he would not gibe me one but said he would check on it. A little while later he sent me an email saying it was delivered. This was on april
Second I have not heard back from him I am trying to get a tracking number so I can contact the delivery company. So I called ups frieght and gave them my info ( zipcode and name ect) they say there have been no shipments with this Info. So from the Information he provided me the package was shipped on the 25th and it was delivered on the 1st but I have not recived a thing. The estimated.cod was $150. My question is what should my next course of action be?:shrug01:
The forum thing won't let me post pics so I just coppied email text

Can you give me a tracking number I have to get ahold of ups still no package

That's no fun to go through! I wish I could help you out, but I'm not sure :( I'd keep getting on him about the tracking number. He should have given it to you a long time ago anyway. Does seem odd that he didn't pass it along. I hope you get it straitened out, and afterwards....STAY AWAY! I ordered from them a year or two ago, it was very frustrating. I waited a few months before finally getting my enclosure, and trying to get in touch for answers was near impossible. Many people have had the same frustrating experience with Boamaster. Next time, check out Animal Plastics. Better customer service, and better products. I am hoping to replace my last boamaster enclosure with an AP one soon. Best of luck to you!

Thank like I said he has gotten back to me every time sometimes not too fast. But I hav heard mixxed reviews. I'd really just like my rack that I ordered.

When did you actually order and send payment? I'm not disputing your claim; just would like clarification. Do you have a phone number for the vendor(s)?

Sorry, I did miss the phone number ( 540-529-0976 ) in your initial post. I did go to their site and did see their TOS relative to live animals, but nothing relative to their cages and a TOS.

You sent payment on 3-8 and he/she says it should have been there and (conveniently) no tracking number is forthcoming ... yeah, it definitely reeks of rotten fish.

They have been around for a long time and have had decent reviews but also some bad ones about customer service. I'm not sure what to do if I don't have a response from him soon I may have to take further action..

His profile shows he was last here on 3-27. That means he was here just a day before he sent that vague email on 3-28 stating "they will call you" (whatever the hell that means). Seems to me he should have been communicating with you and working to get that tracking number to you before checking in here.

They have been around a long time, yes. However, that means nothing as history here at Fauna has seen plenty of good guys gone the other direction.

Got yah that's probably the most worrisome thing is not providing me a number than saying my package was delivered. Clearly It is not. His place is not too far away for me to drive if I have to to get this resolved its my understanding he goes to a lot of shows.

Thunderlordursus, what style rack did you order? It's not typical of mark to be pretty alert of what's going on...he does have a e trembly busy lifestyle and sometimes you gotta call him. I've know mark for 10 plus years. Whe he sends me racks and animals...he's usually good about a tracking number. Unless it's a cash on delivery....give me some more info on what type of rack you ordered....thanks patrick GOGGIN

I ordered 74qt 1996 target rsck for 550 and it is cod for the shipping part. And I understand thr buisiness as you can tell from the emails I've sen I try to be polite and patient. But at thid point I'm a little worried. I believe understandably so.

David I can honestly say mark won't fail you...he won't let you down. I'm usually the first person to say the totally opposite. Have you tried calling him?? Maybe he has a misunderstanding and he sent a rack out like yours but to someone else and he maybe confused on who got it first assuming it was you. Mark is a super busy guy. He does hundreds of cages and racks. Also sometimes I think faunaclassifieds users jump to the BOI too quickly. In my own opinion I would simply wait for a rectifying result before posting in panic and or frustration. I can totally understand your worried. I've been there.

Also to note: mark isn't the type of guy to take your money and not produce. He's always been a man to his word in my book. Mark has a large following. He also has plenty of people who may not like him so much...but he certainly will rectify the issue I assure you of that. I have already sent him a message via cell phone...

Thanks so much and I do understand like I said I know he has a family to take care of. On that note happy easter to all those that celebrate. :)

Got ahold of mark on the phone today and he says he will get the number for me tomorrow. Lets see if we can figuer it out .
Not really sure what he thinks will be accomplished by finally supplying the tracking number that he supposedly has. Doesn't really seem like there's any valid reason for choosing to piss around with supplying it in the first place. At this point, considering that he has your money and you have nothing, HE should be busting ass to figure out just what happened to the product that you'd already paid for, not you.

From here on out, I'd probably avoid communicating in any way which can't be fully documented. If someone can choose to sell and take orders online, they can just as easily choose to correspond online. Busy lifestyle or not, there's no excuse for pitifully inadequate communication practices.

This situation definitely seems extremely shady. I've never had anything shipped COD, but I assume that the recipient must pay in full before claiming the package. With that in mind, I have to think that it's exceptionally unlikely that the rack would mistakenly be delivered to a random person who just happened to want a snake rack badly enough to lay out $150 for the shipping charges before they could take possession of it. The fact that UPS apparently has no record of any shipments being scheduled to your location, is also pretty hard to ignore.

Assuming you paid with PayPal or a credit card, I'd suggest filing an immediate dispute. Considering that he's been unable to prove to you that he shipped anything, I'd say that there are good odds that he won't be able to prove it to your funding source, either. Contrary to what another poster seems to think, he already has failed you. I guess your next move will come down to just how much you feel like being jerked around. :shrug01:

Yeah understandable reaction mine too but I'm willing to work it out if tomorrow dosent give any results that's what ill have to do.

I have ordered twice from Boamaster in the past and both orders were multiple cages at a time. Both were COD and I can tell you that I did not deal with UPS or "UPS Freight."

About the time that I was scheduled to receive the second order, I received a phone call from a private shipping company. They were looking to confirm a time that I would be at home to deal with the COD and then stated that the delivery charge would be something totally outrageous like $400-500. I called Mark right away and he resolved it within minutes. I think the final shipping charge was $110, which is what he said it would be for 4 cages.

When they did show up, it wasn't UPS, FedEx, or any company I recognized. It was just two guys in a box truck.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it shady, its just not the Fed-Ex-guarantee-to-be-at-your-door-by-10-am that many of us are used to when ordering things. Many of these cages are 80 lbs+ apiece and I think Mark is probably doing what he can to minimize the cost of delivering these things.

Not defending him here, just relating my experience with the shipping. It was definitely not UPS and that's maybe why the OP had no luck contacting them.

Ok so here's the update I got the number and called the company it turns putnthe driver delivered to the wrpng addresss or something and somepne signed for it andn payed for it so theu are starting an investigation so fault lies on the shipping company
