    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Lisa you made false claims on those whites tree frogs about what your vet said. That man told both bob and I he never said that the disease occurred here at our facilities nor would be ever.

You never asked me when I would be there 😂

If you want to open up the can of worms with yourself, Petco bob and me we can certainly do so.

rick only cares about the money zach. That's why he called me saying he could no longer care for the frogs. They were costing him too much in food and were way too much work for him.


That's why these animals came in without payment first. I told rick that I would take them if he can wait for payment. Things happened and I told him that I need a few more weeks to pay. He didn't like it so I told him I can return them.


Rick has stated a lot of "his" own laws and has not supported it with any actual laws backing him.

The way I see it is if I had sent someone animals (before payment was complete) and they couldn't pay I would be demanding them back. But not you. Things can go wrong in the blink of an eye. YOU shouldn't have sent out animals before payment because things can go wrong and both people be screwed.

Most people would be happy to take their animals back, put them in quarantine, and sell them again. Why is it you wont? And I'm sorry I find it hard to believe you threw out a whole rack system. If I emptied cages and didn't immediately have something to put in them they would be disinfected and set aside for quarantine of new animals whenever I did aquire some.

People will interpret things how they want to, if they want to see bad in someone they will, I just don't truly believe Mike is a bad guy. If people can't understand some things happen, you fall on hard times, etc it happens to the best of us, then they must be perfect. Someone is going to screw up at some point in their time as a breeder/seller. But that doesn't make them a bad person.

I didn't claim anything or twist out of context nothing. YOU stated to Laura that she was probably like many people and respected Tom C. I simply gave you a post of what she thought of Tom to point out your assumption was wrong. That Laura has a constant opinion on the subject.

Would you be so eager to get those animals back if the person that currently possessed them had just experienced massive losses within their collection/stock? Knowing that there were sick animals and deaths within the group the person wanted to send you?
If so, many would question your common sense.

From my understanding the 4 died from infections they came with. I wouldn't have sent out sick animals to anyone.

And that's what quarantine is for isn't it?

Also if I remember correctly those tadpoles died because an employee fed them something they shouldn't have, not a disease. I quarantine everything that comes into this house no matter who it comes from. People will question whatever they want to.

This whole thing could have been avoided if the op would have hung onto the frogs and wait for payment in full. Then he could have just said ok I'll send you the ones you paid for, and sold the rest to someone else. Or canceled the deal, kept the money since the deadline passed and sold the frogs else where. No he shipped out animals without payment in full, Mike had some unfortunate events happen and said "hey I can pay you in 2-3 weeks" demanding money right this second and threatening to charge him with felonies because he didn't have the money right then and there isn't the way to go. He could have kept a cool head and say well if it's not paid in full in 2-3 weeks there will be a boi, legal action, send the frogs back, etc. To me this whole thing blew up way out of proportion, it could have been handled very differently.

This, like everything else in BOI, is floating on the idea that what has been represented here is the truth. The tadpoles were killed off by being fed bad feeders, not an infection. The frogs that he received came in with bacteria and were still under his quarantine. He also offered to replace the frogs that had succumb to this infection from the original owner. Would it not also be able to be assumed that this person sold them knowing of a possible infection, and that's why he doesn't want them back in his collection? That would start an entirely new BOI right there.
 
Actually if I recall correctly, Rick extended the payment plan to compensate for Mike's bad luck... He didn't demad payment immediately.... Someone needs to go back and read a instead of being a blind Mikey sheep
 
Actually, if you read all the original messages, no he didn't. He said "He would give him to Friday and after that he wanted his money". Mike said there was no possible way of doing that and said he would be returning the frogs. That's when threats of felonies, bashing of character, etc began. Quit being a sheep and pay attention.

I believe Mike was the one that said it....are suggesting that he was less than honest about the situation? For what purpose?

If you look back at my post, I made no comment about WHY the animals died - just that they did. As a potential recipient, I wouldn't dwell as much on the explanation as the simple fact that they're dead.
 
It really doesn't matter to me how this plays out, I just know that I would not be willing to deal with Rick anytime after seeing the way he responds to a "things gone wrong situation". At what point in any professional dealing would it be acceptable to respond to someone in this manner? Just my 2 cents

Maybe you should take a look at Mike's history, and see how he has dealt with things...

To be clear, I have no interest in this thread other than it staying within the basic spectrum of the rules. My personal comments were due to posts that were well off base. (Trust me, I canceled a few due to the degree of sarcasm that I couldn't quite filter without losing the value of the post)
