I will never understand how you can go from$70 so easy to suddenly not being able to afford your car if you dont have that $70 back. How are you going to afford care for animals if you cant afford them in the first place? And how do you think shipping the animals isnt going to cost you anymore than picking them up?

All this BOI taught me is that Seth Williams is a very patient seller who will bend over backwards to make it convenient for the purchaser. To have to download an app he's never used just to accept the payment in a way to save her 10$ is going out of his way as it is already. Why would the assumption be that he is going to pay the shipping? It looks scammier (that is so not a word...) on the buyers side then it does on the seller!

Keep in mind, I have no affiliation with the OP, I just posted these on her behalf because I wanted to see the truth.

I agree that the OP's attitude hasn't been the best in the situation. Seth has been informed of this thread and can come on here and give his side of the story also. Not being able to afford her car and buying mouths to feed is a bad decision.

If you look at the time line in the text, he has drawn it out for a couple of Fridays now. He supposedly shipped the animals but they were sent back. He supposedly shipped (the first time) prior to a shipping quote to the OP. All said and done, I would stay away from both.

You make some very valid points Jet76! Shipping prices around here are crazy so 27$ to ship 2 geckos sounds amazing to me, haha. I guess the low shipping cost made me gloss over the part where he supposedly shipped them already and had them returned.

I keep thinking how it would look to me as a seller if someone tried to pay me using an online app I wasn't familiar with and then, almost immediately after me getting the money, wants it back. It does seem innocent enough in this scenario but it screams scam so I can see the company facilitating the transaction delaying it a bit. Sadly with all the scams out there it isn't unreasonable to see this as a shady looking transaction, even though (like I say) it looks innocent enough when you see the whole convo.

Exactly. If the transaction went smoothly and she got the geckos, she'd still be losing the car.

for some reason i can't see the last 3 pics but.. from what i see here Seth W has done nothing wrong at all and was extremely patient with the OP.
the deal was always 70$ + two free cages and she would pick them up.. she tried to get them for 50$ and he said no he couldn't go lower than 70$.
she also declined a third one for 30$ saying that the gas $$ she would have to pay driving to pick them up would use up all her $$.
that said, the only flaw in Seth's texts is that he forgot to mention she would have to pay the shipping costs. ( for me this was just a normal assumption she would pay) she's saving the gas $$ and the travel time.. so why would she think he would get hit with the 28$ shipping costs ??? she would technicaly get the geckos for 40$ since she has no shipping or fuel to pay for !!!!
the OP is 100% in the wrong in this BOI she went from picking them up to having them shipped expecting that to be free for some reason.. I agree with Allison's last phrase..

OP goes from already having enclosure/s (prior to inquiry/purchase) to having had to buy enclosure/s (and other items for enclosure/s) due to her expectation of getting geckos from Seth Williams.
Goes from paying $70 to needing it back, immediately, to pay for her car or she will lose the car.
Expected seller to pay for shipping.
Appears to be irrational, subject to poor decisions, etc.

Seller seems "iffy" on what he stated re. shipping.
Planned on shipping 2 day rather than overnight!
Is also "procrastinating" on sending the OP a refund.
Who knows if he will send the refund. Money that he should have since the OP sent it to him.

Unless there is more, I believe, at this point, that I will just avoid doing business with both the OP and S. Williams.

And to address someone else about the price being so cheap, I'm supposed to be getting an atb sometime this month hopefully from a friend and of course I will be paying shipping. But because the distance between the 2 places is so close for 1 day shipping I'll be paying about $25 through reptiles express. So 1 day between those two shouldn't be too much more. I wonder what company he was going through and why he chose 2 day? but I thought somewhere someone posted that ups will ship live animals EXCEPT snakes, these were geckos.

Now this is starting to fall apart for me. I wanted to believe him because of her attitude and unwillingness to come back, but 2 day shipping, the ups thing, I don't know.. let me see of I can find the ups animal policy

I'm assuming his original message was a typo and he meant usps as he says "well yes ups brought it back said they don't ship live so I'll have to ship ups". According to the USPS website live animals are considered a restricted domestic item so I'm assuming that's what he meant he tried first.
