Bad Guy Rafaelle Santangelo - Seller BEWARE

Right away I knew something was up with Rafaelle Santangelo. Email - [email protected] Uses very poor English, possibly foreign, very young or posing as such. Not sure if he is registered on this site, likely got booted off but he expressed interest in a snake I was selling via email. Rafaelle Santangelo sent Paypal payment after some haggling over the price but I agreed. The snake had a defect, slightly kinked tail which was clearly stated in the advertisement as the reason for the greatly discounted price which i dropped even further for him. After sending payment he requested I ship the snake hold for pickup at FedEx - no problem. He asked for my phone number to communicate details and I gave it to him - big mistake. Rafaelle had many many questions, most of which were clearly stated in the ad and this is after he paid. He sent me many texts that were clearly intended for other people, many indecipherable and some seemingly drug related. Rafaelle then changed where the snake would be shipped to a home address, then changed his mind again and wanted hold at FedEx for pickup again. The following morning when the snake was packaged and ready to be shipped he changed his mind and asked for a refund, no reason given. Then 5 minutes later Rafaelle texted me changing his mind again and asked for the snake to be shipped, this time to a different "home" address. I shipped the snake via SYR exactly as he asked, where he asked and when he asked. When I sent the tracking number he replied that he did not want the snake shipped that day because he would be away and not able to receive the package. Mr. Santangelo stated the package would be refused, returned and he demanded an immediate refund threatening to report me to "the authorities" and have his bank "go after me". I told him I could not refund anything until the animal was returned. Mysteriously Rafaelle signed for and accepted the package when it arrived and then sent many threatening emails and texts with blatant lies about the packaging, shipping, and quality of the animal. Rafaelle demanded a refund again at this point but was unwilling to return the snake. He claimed he was unaware of the tail defect even though it was described in detail in the ad with pictures and discussed with him in even greater detail. This was obviously an attempt to scam me, his intention from the start was clearly to get the snake for free. So beware of a guy that goes by Rafaelle Santangelo, he's looking to scam sellers into shipping him free snakes. The good thing is he's not very intelligent at all so it wasn't difficult to realize his motive and protect myself. I informed Mr. Santangelo that I was aware he was trying to scam me but he would not be successful because he's too stupid. I suggested he attempt to scam people at least as dumb as him or he'd keep ending up on the losing end. He never followed through on any of his threats and I never heard another thing after that.

Do you have anything to support this, and while I do not plan on doing business with him given the history I am curious to see if you have a location for this person, he contacted me recently claiming he was in Lawrenceville GA?

I have emails and text messages but it's a lot of back and forth and him making false accusations which can be hard to absolutely prove or disprove beyond a doubt. Many of his messages were nonsensical and along with the a weeks worth of alternating between text and email it would be very difficult to follow. Any text/email could be altered, skewed or misinterpreted - posting the entire interaction would not be absolute proof in my opinion and a lot of effort I don't see amounting to any more evidence than I've given. I don't feel the need for validation, I'm confident I interpreted the situation correctly. My objective is simply to report the facts and possibly save someone from a headache. If my report does not prove anything to you or people don't believe it I'll just have to deal with that. The location you gave is correct btw.

Well maybe he is innocent. Do you not trust readers to come to their own conclusions?
After your false and insulting comments about this site on a gaboon ad here I can see you doing something just for the drama of it.

I am here.
This gentleman sold me a retic baby, we agreed to ship it overnight Saturday delivery which I have emails. He shipped it overnight next weekday so the snake was in a box from Friday am till Monday evening when delivered. I threatned the seller to state this wasn't what we agreed on, as I was leaving for town sunday and had to have it received Saturday. Once he failed to do so and sent me fed ex tracking I called fed ex and they told me the seller locked the method and didn't want it deleivered Saturday and I couldn't change it, only the seller. So the I called the seller and all respondance disappeared.
Needless to say I had to have my apartment office record my signature, call fed ex to allow my complex to sign on my behalf, then have a buddy 45 minutes away receive the snake Monday evening as I was out of town. He then sent me pictures of the packaging, it was a snake in a sealed container inside a hardys take out styro box as insulation with some wet leaves insiude and no heat pack like a 10 year old kid shipped it but the snake was alive.
A week later he said I was a retard and I would pay for this which is odd as I am the one who got screwed and saved his mistake he didn't own, he then said I messed with the wrong person, created a fake email in my name and began writing folks on kingsnake with a copy and paste immigrate offer at which point they have been responding and I need to explain why the got an email from me and he has been reported to the kingsnake board. I have had zero contact with him since except someone who I bought a snake from let me know about this post on here.

This guy is a looser and I hate the back and forth of these forums so I said my piece and wouldn't recommend ever dealing with this kid. He has been a nightmare, faked my identify and used my email which I really should report to the government.

Just another reason to avoid faunaclassifieds all together. Sticking with kingsnake, nowhere near as many scams. Fauna is dead because this nonsense is not only allowed but encouraged.

You should not have accepted and signed for the package if you did not want it. You're also leaving out the fact that I did ship exactly as you asked, on Friday 10/9/2015 via fedex express overnite, the fastest and most expensive shipping they offered. It's not my fault if they did not get the package to you until Monday 10/12/2015 (that's not 4 days by the way). Maybe they could not do a Saturday delivery by the time I got the package to fedex on Friday because you kept texting me on Friday going back and forth whether you wanted the snake at all and then changing your mind multiple times on where you wanted it shipped. It did delay things. Not sure, just a thought but you have the snake now so that's the end of it.
