    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

He has 2107 post. Most if not all are harassing and antagonizing people. He thrives on getting into peoples misfortunes. He has a ZERO trader rating. Meaning he has not ONE person that has said he's a good guy. So, Take what he says with a GIANT BOULDER OF SALT!

Laura I think I've run out of fingers to count the number of times you've brought up facebook when someone has an argument on here (even though there's literally no relation). Seems like a strange fascination you have.

Nick, Laura's commentary was -as I see it- made to translate that she deemed creation of this thread as a childish act and that it is reminiscent to her of the immaturity that she has witnessed on Facebook.

Laura, correct me if my thought process is in error on that interpretation.

Now, with that said for clarity, I would recommend (to all) stepping away from the barely even tangential focus on the within-bounds expression of this thread's appraisal by a member. It simply is not central to the discussion of the accusation, the accused, and/or the accuser in this thread.

I think the majority of us can agree that the starting of this thread was petty and retaliatory...most would agree that it was juvenile, in nature.
That being the case, can anybody offer a solid reason for continuing to pull it to the top and providing amusement for Garrett Smith?
If not, I'm all for letting it sink into the archives.

Well, when I first saw this thread posted, I was within a hair of just deleting it. But on second thought, would anyone LEARN anything from this thread? So I felt it best to let it remain.

So, has anyone LEARNED anything from it? Or was I in error allowing it to remain?

The BOI depends on participation. That being said, often the Bad Guys will try to deflect the content of posts that criticize their actions by attacking a poster's participation.
In this thread, Chris was honored for stepping up and posting, and Garrett's deflection blew back on him and he was pounded for his childish attempt at trying to hurt Chris (and avoiding the issues).
I think future Bad Guys might read this thread and think twice before pulling a similar shenanigan.
And perhaps those who post to a thread in the face of nasty Bad Guys learned that the readers in the BOI are smart enough to see through deflection, and that it is the Bad Guy, not a courageous poster, that deserves, and may very well get, a closer look.

Butthurt people suck?

I think one of the biggest lessons for the readers is that the title, or good/bad guy designation, didn't tell the whole story. People need to actually read the threads, and do their own homework, before deciding to do business with somebody.
Also, if somebody wants to show his/her :bleep:, one should consider whether one really wants it on display.
 
At first, I was flattered to have gotten under Garrett's skin enough to have him start a thread on me. But I am way more flattered and appeciative of all the responses! I need no defending, but it was truly uplifting to see all of the posts here. I love this site. Thanks again everyone!
 
Allowing Chris to continue to call people names and lash out at people. Doesn't do anyone any good. He is quick to judge and is often wrong in his judgements. Even his 3 followers agree that he is harsh, rude etc. Allowing this behavior IMO is not good. Others need to know that you should take his rude and misdirected comments with a grain of salt.

It also seems to be the majority that you should just take his abuse and do nothing about it.
