This is not an an actual piece of import paperwork. This is a document that we thought we needed at the start of this processes. This document cost us $8,000 US. and as it turns out, we didn't need. Pakistan is very corrupt and as someone said on this BOI, and we verified with the Pakistani government that the last time reptiles from Pakistan have been legally exported was 15 plus years ago. I started to take pictures and gather the paperwork that I sent to Mike during this process. I started to get attacked on this BOI and stopped.

Mike keeps asking for CITES paperwork, when he knows that this is the main paperwork that we're waiting for. If I had cleared CITES paperwork the lizards would be in the air within 3 days.

I offered Mike to Skype my contact, He declines and says I hired an english speaking Pakistani in Pakistan that will answer with out hesitation any question that he could through at him. In reality Mike knows this is a legit transaction, just like the first one that we did. He threatened me that if I don't cash him out that he will start a BOI on me. He said he would do what ever it takes to ruin my reputation.

I dint't publicly bring up any of his personal issues on this BOI, he did by posting our private conversation and now he's calling me names.

Again, We had an agreement, he wants to back out and not see it through. I have offered several options that I can or could afford at that time. Most exceeded his original investment. He has been difficult to deal with and wanting way, way more that what he invested. Thats when I used the "jew me down" term and I also feel bad about that. This was in a private message between Mike and I in the heat of the battle….but I shouldn't of said it.

Mike, I can care less about your pot smoking. What you do in your life is your business. I brought it up in our private conversations because I would give you updates on our transaction and you would call me 2 days later and ask me the same questions. Like we never talked. You always talked about "getting baked" all the time and I asked were you baked when we talked last.

You have accepted an offer of some animals that are worth well over the value of what you invested in the Pakistan deal. Regardless, If I gave you $6,500, the Hardwickii or the current offer, Im going to have you sign a form stating that the said items releases me form any debt or obligation to you. It will also state that you will not continue to lie and slander me, Markus or anyone else moving forward. I believe anyone would do this in my situation.

I've never had anything to hide and always stood by my convictions while inviting dishonest people to engage me just to prove them wrong. Unfortunately, not everyone has that luxury. Did you inform all of the people who you took money from that there would be a risk, based on your new potential alibi, that Pakistan is corrupt? How exactly, with so much money involved from people you schmoozed into a deal with your expertise, do you not investigate to the fullest? When the feces hits the fan, you will have to answer these questions. Not just here. But everything posted here will be at a victim's disposal.

I have been importing and exporting for quite a while. Never heard of any process that would require $8000.00 paperwork.

Garrett, if you review most threads here, you will see that people with common sense will come to your rescue. The only one who has come to your rescue is a guy who invested alot of money in your Pakistani deal. Why? Where are all the great deals? I suspect that too many unhealthy or dead animals are involved. Let's say your shipment finally comes in. Who gets the animals most likely to survive? Just curious.

Im not sure when i stated i declined to speak to the supplier in Pakistan garret? You haven't even provided me his email , phone number or skype to speak to him so how would i speak to him? You also said the shipment from germany to "cash me out " would be here in october as of today were at October 29 and still no money no animals no nothing just all talk

So, you didn't personally import a shipment out of Pakistan. This shipment is not recorded with the Pakistani government. Can you post some proof of this shipment?

Don't you think I would have just 1 person post on this BOI and say something? If I had just one customer that wasn't satisfied with the way I handled their transaction, don't you think they would post this on this BOI?

You don't block people because you love the melodramatics, name calling, fighting etc. You try to make this your own personal soap opera. So far on this one you haven't' helped anyone. You brought nothing to that table but trying to discredit honest people. While sticking up for a lier. You took Mikes bate and ran with it.

On post 438 on 10/27/15 I have invite you to speak to our contact in Pakistan face to face, via Skype with out me. I asked YOU to contact ME and I will set it up. As of today 10/30/15 you haven't.

This statement is laughable. That I hired an english speaking Pakistani in Pakistan and informed him on every detail of our transaction that he will be able to answer, with out hesitation.

YOU have done nothing but talk. You have accused me of being a scammer but have showed not ONE piece of evidence to prove it. You agreed to this arrangement and are backing out. That shows what your word is worth. I have offered you several salutations. But, you ever posted them on this BOI when we discuss these and agree to them.

Again, I have and still am offering many solutions since before you started this BOI. I have offered you the best proof that this transaction is legit….and you do nothing but try to play the victim.

Garrett, at this point what to you is an acceptable time table for Mike to get animals, different animals, or a refund? Could you give us a real estimate here? An actual date by which if he doesn't have anything, you have not fulfilled your responsibilities? Or is this just open ended?

Right now a loan of $6500 would accrue interest at about 6-9%, so I find your claims of offering more than what the original deal was worth to be only adequate.

Jay is correct about that shipment about Pakistani geckos.

I also heard about a import of geckos like 7 or 8 years back.
And when I check the trade databases I find a legal export of this:

BUT: that is nonCITES reptiles. And those have also been allowed in 2007 and 2006 in even bigger amounts.

I made a search for Cites export of reptiles on the official Cites trade database.
As this list covers all allowed exports I took some minutes to write down all reptiles legally leaving the country. Important is to find the last legal export with the Purpose T for commercial.
So if you read a S, it is animals exported for Scientific reasons.

The last trade Cites reptiles were:
1998 II Geochelone elegans Reptilia Testudines Testudinidae Geochelone CZ PK 450 live T W

I have to add that in 2013 four Saara hardwickii were allowed to be exported from Pakistan to the USA for scientific reason. On arrival they suddenly are labeled as trade. I don´t want to predict anything, but that is not a correct way.

So after all, and everyone can do the same search here: http://trade.cites.org/en/cites_trade/
there have been no legal live Cites reptiles exported from Pakistan since 1998.

For those who want to check it, the list is very long, because of Mamalia and Aves traded. Best start your search in the range from 1997 to 2014. Even then you have to check hundrets of of entries in the list.

Garrett...The proof is in the massive wave of spider geckos, all three frogeyes, viper geckos, micro geckos, bunopus and cyrtopodion that hit the U.S. Gecko hobby on that last hit of Pakistani species.Along with many misc. lizard species. See I personally picked up virtually every gecko that landed in that shipment in Dallas when it landed.
Maybe Garrett you should not speak on behalf of the Pakistani government here.
First off you're wrong. Second what does it actually matter. Third it doesn't enbolden your position or validate you in any way.

The tone and much more calm posts that Garret has been displaying of late is a vast improvement on his earlier tantrum ridden ones.
It is a shame the whole thread was not conducted in this manner as something may have been achieved without all the angst.
Now I am not saying anything about the CONTENT of the posts and not taking any sides whatsoever
Just that it is a most pleasant change to see less petulant posts all round, be nice if we could keep it that way!

Mike was well aware that this could take up to a year. He started telling me that he wanted out around the 4 or 5 month mark. He told me a lot of lies that I believed and I started sending him money back. I then caught him on these lies called him on them and told him. We had an agreement and that I was holding him to it. I then spoke to his mother who's money it was and started to work on ways to buy him out. I offered him many different options that I could afford at the time and as I stated they were worth more that the remaining balance that Mike invested.

Mike has agreed to accept some animals worth $8,000 to settle this. They are coming on our next shipment. We have cleared CITES paperwork for most of the animals but not all. We are waiting for the remainder to be cleared and will ship after that.

Mike asked for a date and with different animals and getting permits its impossible to guesstimate. But I would guesstimate the shipment should arrive in two weeks or so.

Because Mike back out of our original deal, lied, and made up this false BOI. I don't believe he deserves one penny over what he committed to. However, I offered him animals worth more that what he's owed and he accepted.
