In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

SELLERS BEWARE! Ryan Mizell. Our correspondence began 5-31-2015 for the the animal. He purchased a macklotts Python from me July 30th 2015. Animal was shipped the following week. I received notice of a chargeback from the credit card company on 11-2-2015. He claims to work for the Dallas Zoo. He claims someone stole his, and his mothers identities and charged a bunch of stuff. Well, all correspondence were through his email. The PayPal address matches the address I shipped to. This is no different than theft.

Thomas I would also like to see the correspondence between the two of you.
It is possible to dispute a chargeback, however, the timelines for doing so are often short and strict.
Find the timeline and present your evidence (such as the shipping address) in a timely manner. You must actually provide evidence so get screenshots and so on to send with your response, and carefully monitor what the next timeline is and adhere to it.

Which is the correct last name? Subject line is Mizzell (two Z's), but your post says Mizell (one Z).

Shows beginning of correspondence

Right now, I don't believe a word Ryan is saying. He is going to have to do some fancy talking to get around this statement from you, Thomas:
The PayPal address matches the address I shipped to.

He is ridiculous. Trying to hush people up by saying the magic word 'lawyer'. The FIRST thing lawyers tell their clients is to shut up, and then the lawyer handles everything. That isn't happening here, and I call BS on Ryan. The lawyer talk in my opinion is just shenanigans.

PLEASE fight the chargeback. Print out a link to this thread and send it along with your other evidence.

BTW the address you say you sent to is in Houston yet he claims to work for the Dallas Zoo. I think it would be easy enough to call over there and just ask for him. I'd think if he could not take messages they would say so, but it would be interesting to try to verify his claim.

I am fighting the charges. PayPal is still reviewing. They have released the funds, due to seller protection. I am confident I will win. This is not about the money. It's about what he is doing, and to let it be known.

Its crazy what people can dream up and try to get away with. I wonder if when they find that he did actually make the purchase and then fraudulently make the claim, will they deny all of the rest of them and seek damages? They spend a lot of time and money investigating these false claims. I would hope they do.

Identities are stolen all the time, and fraudulent charges made, no doubt about that. But what kind of fraudster orders stuff, falsely charges it on someone else's credit card, and has it sent and delivered and tracked to his own address?

If by some chance that were to be wrongfully done, and an unordered critter delivered to an innocent person, wouldn't that person immediately get in touch with the sender and arrange for it to be sent back?
But no receipt was declared by Ryan.

Thomas has shown an image of the address and tracking number. The tracking number shows that the package was delivered and signed for by a R. Mizzell.

Who lives at the address that the packages was delivered to?
Property tax rolls show that Samantha Quinn owns that property.
What are the chances that she has a son named Ryan, grandchildren-to-be named Mizell, and the address, this address, where the package showed delivered, is not the proper address signed for by Ryan?

Paypal does not really have much of a seller protection. When you say they released the funds, did they release them to you? I sold something on Ebay, and the buyer went to their credit card company and did a charge back. Paypal never even gave me the chance to fight back, and I had a tracking number and everything. Paypal does what they want, because they are not a financial institution. They are just a middle man. If his credit card company tells Paypal to refund the money, that is what Paypal will do, even if you have proof. Good luck.

I was involved to the extent that I was the admin on two different FB review forums where Tommy posted. Ryan was informed of both posts, and invited to join those forums, twice. He chose to communicate with me via pm.
He was very angry and wanted the posts removed. I told him I'd remove it from on of the forums, but the other always kept updated screen shots, to prevent threads from disappearing. I also told him that if it went to Fauna, it would be permanent.
He told me he called his "rich family's two attorneys", and they said we were enabling Slander, and then the lawyer was "hot on the phone to FB".

I replied that his lawyer is confusing Slander with Libel, but, since proof exists, this was neither.
Finally, I asked him to answer 3 simple questions in order for us to understand his side of the story:
1. Please confirm that you are alleging the person who stole your card used it to send a snake to your house?
2. Please provide the name of the attorney who will be in contact.
3. Please verify that you are of legal age to be solely responsible for credit purchases.

I have not heard back from Mr. Mizell.
