100%I can add to this post from a few thousand kilometers away:
The geckos at Garretts house are mine and garrett, as a great business partner, was so kind to open up the US market for me. He keeps the animals for me in best condition and also manages the shipment to my customers.
Importing animals from countries like Pakistan is a though bussiness. It is amazing, which progresses Garrett made in this topic. And amazing, that people, who know how complicated such imports are, complain about it. To get this animals is a dream for many people and getting them is anyway worth the waiting time. I know that this dreams are close to become reality. and I am very thankful for all the time and effort and a lot of personal money Garrett already spent in this project.
I trust Garrett from all the wonderful things we dealt with in the past and can tell everyone: If bussiness with him works over that big distance, be sure, it will also work in your close distance. And any problems coming due to delays is just a matter of documents and organisation that just take longer in some countries.
Cheers, Markus
Garrett has insinuated that if he get's scammed by his Pakistani contact that his "partners" will have to go after the Pakistani for their refund. My question is how do all his current "partners" feel about that? More importantly, knowing what you know now, would you have written the exact same post above, word for word?
But I assure you, unless Markus also owes, it's not going to change a thing.wow over 80 pages? tl;dr
and a judge would possibly investigate bilateral elements of 'joint control' during the business - if joint venture/partnership is the defense, as it sure seems to be.

i can imagine a legal professional would ask Mike to explain the oral agreement, word for word; and likewise, Garrett how clear he actually was on the importation timeframe, figure to figure.

btw, i've heard a lawyer saying the Statute of Frauds (CA) stipulates that virtually all business agreements (whether b2c/b2b/p2p) with terms 'more than a year' must be in writing... really?
sorry i'm not a lawyer so this ain't legal advice - but would very much like to see this resolved for the sake of the human and evenmoreso non-human lives involved, well before my return (God-willing) in 6 mos from 11/11.
love & light!

Mike has proof of wiring Garrett $6500.
what does Garrett have proof of, if anything?

Wasn't it in this thread that garrett got warned by the mods that repeating the same thing over and over would earn him infractions? It's late so I could be thinking of another thread but I'm pretty sure it was this one.
Glad I wasn't wrong. So if someone read all 81 pages why would they keep repeating themselves knowing they can get a warning or infraction for it?

I'm not sure of the actual details and how well reporting has been done in this case, but this article out today in the Guardian (linked below and also attached) suggests that Markus deals with another convicted smuggler, Maciej Oskroba, in addition to Garrett Smith. The article describes the relationship as a partnership.

Markus, I have to say this: you cannot be both a conservationist and supportive of those who seek to smuggle wildlife out of their native countries and habitats. Support includes business relationships and referrals.
