Your right I am having trouble understanding and why I asked. I do understand context difference, just not the rules. I was docked 4 points and could hardly find why so high, as going to the "red" rules in the top of this forum I did not find the exact rule. I did find "borderline abusive" as 2 points after a google search.
With that, I would have accepted if fairly distributed. The fact that I see Garrett break this (same context) rule several times and no one finds the time to throw a 4 point infraction at him (partial examples in post #161 and #318). Based on what I could find on these rules, he should be banned from posting on this site if given infractions every time he deserved one.
So before you get tired of some of the people on here, I would look at who is creating this frustration, and why a small group of the community seem to be willing to waste time fighting for those ripped off here, and feel the need to take that into their own hands, outside of mods rules.
I can not tell anyone here to do anything, but I ask if you can do the same infractions on Garrett for #161 and #318 as was done to me, as they are the same context. That seems fair to me.
From now on I will (as I have) refrain from calling anyone a name on here or associating them with a body part, as I understand for some this is a very very serious offense.
The site has undergone some degree of evolution over the years. Clarification on operative matters and requests for such are most appropriately seated in the site assistance and feedback section.
How have you determined fair versus unfair distribution? Do you have the ability to see when others have been taken to task in all instances? There are both private and public manners in which things may be addressed.
You must have read a different post if you have concluded I am tired of people. I am tired of no one on this site. I did not say I was tired of anyone. Revisit the post if needed. You will find it said I am tired of name-calling. The tiresome behavior is not limited to a single person, as it has had buy-in from several people and they do not all play for the same team. I said "from this point forward" as it relates to how I plan to govern. If I gave an infraction for every time a name was called, that could possibly be done, but I promise you that would mean very few of the current participants would be around to participate further. My post clearly stated tired of name-calling. My post clearly stated from that point forward. Reading that post would deliver that information. Instead, I am now reading about tiresome people when that was not said and retroactive behavior after specifically outlining the course for future behavior. I doubt you would want me to not read what you wrote and then just plop words and meanings into it that you had nothing to do with. That would be unfair of me.
I personally have zero issue with particular terms. That has nothing to do with my function here. My function here is not to cater to all of my preferences and comforts. My purpose is to scrape barnacles off of the hull even if I like barnacles and avoid icebergs even if I think they are pretty. Members trying to foster barnacles will peel potatoes or go to the brig. Members trying to navigate towards the icebergs may find themselves overboard.
