Well... This isn't the first time I've read a bad guy thread where I end up with the following conclusion...

I would do business with "bad guy" Jeremy Pierce, and avoid the OP like a summer flu bug...

Completely agree! I'm glad Jeremy came here to post.

Based on that link to the middleman Robert's hateful email rant or whatever that was, he sounds like one to be avoided, along with the OP of this thread.

I'll keep this short.

I'm honored to call Jeremy a friend, you will not meet a more stand up guy. Anyone that has met him or done business with him can tell you what a great guy he is. I hate to see good guys being used as the scapegoat and then smeared by people that apparently don't know what is going on. I have been purchasing animals from him for well over 10 years and I have never had an issue with a single one.

Who do you think smeared Jeremy other than the op?

There were some early jumps to conclusions based on emotional reactions to the photo of the mite-laden animal. I suspect that is what may have been referenced with those words. I would imagine those minds may have since changed with respect to the original target.

You're probably right. With the e-mail provided by Jeremy showing the buyer's satisfaction of the snakes I don't see how anyone could find fault in Jeremy for this.

I've bought several snakes from Jeremy and they have all been 100% Healthy, I've never heard anything bad about the guy except for this post?..... I can't and don't believe that he would sell these to anyone in that condition.... Are you sure that's how they showed up out of the box from him like that or did you take the pic a few days later after being in your care?............. I would honestly by anything from him sight unseen.... He's just a great guy and I think there's no way he sent theses to you in that condition!!!

Second, the person that you said in your P.M. that you got them from seems to be telling you a very different story than the one he told me upon receipt of the animals.

I am very sorry that you have been taken advantage of.

Upon taking the "female bull" out, we saw mites as depicted in the photo I submitted. It was also sexed as a male with clearly hemipenes.

I don't think from what has been posted that Robert Russell took advantage of
Susan Easley. She claims to have been there when the box was opened, and has become increasingly abusive to anyone asking questions.
One possible explanation is that this may have been a cooperative venture between Robert Russell and Susan Easley to try to milk a refund or another snake out of Jeremy Pierce.
Another possibility is that, even given Robert's colorful post linked here, he did not participate in the milking attempt and that all of this was cooked up by Susan. This theory is supported by her attempt to not identify him, so that no one could send him a link to this thread (which I am about to do), in order to give him the opportunity to respond.
Now that his name is linked to this thread, it would be good to hear his perspective.

I agree that the situation Lucille described in the above quote would appear to be a very likely scenario and is very possibly the most likely one given the refusal of the OP to name Robert Russell from the get-go. I will be very interested to see whether he takes the opportunity to provide some input.

Based on the lack of evidence/proof, the OP's statements & behavior, the OP's lack of desire to name the middleman & being more forthcoming, etc., I had, already, taken this thread with a grain of salt.
Now, thanks to Jeremy's portion of documentation, and the people standing up for him ("one or two" that I have high respect for), it does appear much more evident that Jeremy was wrongly targeted/accused.
The fact that Jeremy is willing to give the OP a snake, after all that has transpired, speaks highly, for him, as well (although I do not believe he owes the OP anything).
I would not have a problem doing business with Jeremy. Cannot say the same for the OP.

I had more time this morning to read through the long strands of emails between Robert and I. In the interest of full disclosure and fairness, Robert did pay before I shipped them. He said he sent a money order (of which I never did receive). After waiting a good length of time he offered to send via western union. I failed to remember that point accurately. Apologies.

As of right now, I don't consider Robert Russell a bad guy. He ordered snakes and paid me. I never heard a complaint from him. After thinking about it, it would be wrong for me to make the assumption that he has anything to do with this.

I told myself that I was going to forget about this thread, but it is difficult. I'm going to try to move on.

Final answer...again...

I got what I posted infested with mites. I took the pair. I treted them and they are doing fine now. I saw the snakes popped and they both had 2 hemipenes. I never asked for anything from Jeremy because it was my fault for losing his contact info - not his. At this point I'm just out a female patternless bull and there is really nothing more to discuss. If you people wish to continue to beat a dead horse - knock yourselves out. I know more about military installations than most of you on here as I spent 28 years of my life working on the flight line as a flight mechanic. It is these type of - for lack of other words - stupid questions/accusations that make this site the laughing stock of the reptile world. As far as I am concerned - this matter is over. I do not feel the need to continue to beat a dead horse. The snakes should have been sexed properly and not sent infested with mites. My fault for not dealing with it immediately and I have been consistant in posting this fact.

Questions to the OP:

Is it possible that Robert Russell could have switched the snakes out before you arrived and resealed the box before you opened it? Based on the facts as stated by you and by Jeremy Pierce, this seems to be the only possible explanation of events.

Were you called by Robert to come to his house to open the box once he received it and you went there then?

Or were you already at his house BEFORE the delivery was made and actually SEE the delivery man bring the box from the truck to his door?

I do think the OP has succeeded in a lot of people not wanting to have anything to do with her. And before we get another abusive name calling rant from the OP, this has nothing to do with the original post or subject. People asked a few questions, and she went off her rocker attacking everyone. Nobody wants to deal with someone like that.

I sent Robert an email, and he has replied. He is corroborating Susan's story. I then asked him about the email he sent Jeremy saying the snakes look fine, he has not replied.

I am not really comfortable posting for him, I will request that he post for himself.

He just replied saying that he did not recall sending any email except one saying that the snakes had arrived. He does not seem to have read the thread even though I sent a link and said that his name had been mentioned.

Sounds fishy to me. Almost like he and Susan are consulting. If I got sent a link, the first thing I'd do is read it and be able to discuss particulars.

If someone receives snakes with mites, in their email to the breeder, instead of saying that the snakes looked great, wouldn't they have actually mentioned, yelled, or talked about, receiving a snake with mites, and their feelings about that, which I believe, would be feelings of discontent? I, myself, ordered two bull snakes from Jeremy back in 2007, received fantastic specimens, without a single mite, in great health, and received a followup phone call from Jeremy, only minutes after I received the snakes, to make sure I received them, and that they were ok. Great service, great snakes, and great guy to do business with!!

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine? If we're all so stupid and make stupid accusations and ask stupid questions then why did you feel the need to bring your rhetoric here to have us menial people read it and comment on it?

I'm glad you spent 28 years of your life doing meaningful work. Could you please go back to doing that instead of interacting with the public? Because clearly you don't interact well with the public at all. And if you're so convinced that this matter is over, then please don't let us hold you up any longer. We don't actually need you to come back to try to make yourself look any worse. You already did enough damage. But if you do want to come back, then you're more than welcome to try to help that area out again.

I have one question for Susan ... when did you receive the snakes? If it was in October, as evidenced by the email, why wait until January? To busy doesn't float with me, anyone can take 5-10 minutes to make a post if they want to.

I feel very strongly that the OP is making this entire story up just for attention. No proof of her claims have been posted and proof of the opposite of her story has been posted. The seller really didn't even need to post as no one believed the OPs story anyways but when he did he completely blew the OPs story out of the water. Just my 2 cents.
